10 - Rainy Day
This chapter got really long without meaning to, 500 words longer than they usually are xD
Week 2/4, Day 9 - Tuesday
Dean looked out the window when he heard the soft pattering of rain drops on the room. It was raining. In summer. If that doesn't happen in your country then screw you, my Melbourne weather sucks. But anyway.
Oh god everyone knows where I live now.
Continuing on.
"Cas it's raining," Dean whined. Cas rolled over in his bed.
"Great," Cas muttered. "Can I sleep then?"
"Nope, we're going to get food."
Cas sighed and sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. They heard a sudden crash and then a laugh from the other room.
Dean walked into the room to see Sam laughing as Gabe rubbed his head while sitting on the floor.
"Do I want to know?" Dean asked. Sam just kept laughing. Gabe smiled almost shyly at Sam before shaking his head at Dean.
"Let's get food," Gabe said, springing up and very carefully opening the door. Dean raised an eyebrow.
"Did you run into the door?"
"Nope. Why would you think that?"
Sam's reaction gave away Gabe's lie, and Dean just rolled his eyes at the two. He looked back to where Cas was just walking out of the room, making sure he was following them.
They walked out of the cabin, standing under the porch part as they looked at the rain.
Gabriel suddenly grabbed Sam's hand. "Run," he said, and Sam smiled widely before they both started sprinting off through the rain, hand in hand.
"Was that a reference?" Dean asked.
"Doctor Who," Cas said. "You really need to watch these shows."
"I'm not a nerd."
"You will be."
"You going to make me?"
"I will tie you down if I have to."
"Kinky much Cas?" Dean said with a smirk. Cas spluttered and went red, and Dean laughed before running through the rain, Cas sighing and then following after him.
They all made it to the hall, where everyone was gathered having being soaked by the rain trying to get there.
They ate breakfast as always, and Michael and Lucifer walked out to talk to them all.
"So if anyone here is blind," Michael called out.
"Or just an idiot," Lucifer added.
"It's raining," Michael said. "Go do whatever the hell you want. We're not going to run any activities today."
Everyone started talking again, and Michael and Lucifer walked over to the other four guys. The six of them walked out to the porch of the hall, watching the rain falling from the cloudy sky.
"You know what this means?" Luci said with a smirk. "It's gonna be muddy."
"God help us all," Dean muttered.
"What does that mean?" Gabe asked.
"There's one of those mud course thingies," Michael said. "Which only really works well after it's rained."
"How fun," Dean said sarcastically.
"I think that sounds great," Gabe said mischievously. "Definitely going to throw people in the mud."
"You're too short for that," Cas said.
"I'll throw Sam in the mud."
"No you won't," Dean said, glaring at Gabriel.
"Oh come on Dean, stop being overprotective," Sam said. Dean flinched slightly, looking at Sam with surprise. Sam had never openly objected to his protectiveness. He noticed as Sam glanced at Gabriel with a shy look.
"Awkward," Lucifer said. Michael shoved Luci.
"So," Cas said, coughing awkwardly. "What are we going to do today?"
"Hang around inside where it's dry?" Dean suggested. Cas nodded in agreement.
"You guys aren't fun," Gabe whined. "Sammy what do you want to do?"
"You're the one with the fun ideas Gabe."
"We are totally going to run around like idiots in the rain."
Sam smiled at that, getting a smile in return from Gabe.
"Ship it," Lucifer whispered so Sam and Gabe wouldn't hear.
"Oh like you can talk," Dean said. "You and Michael?" Lucifer glared.
"What?" Michael said. "Seriously? Again with the shipping."
"Oh come on Mike," Gabe said. "You two are perfect for each other."
"We're friends. Just friends. What don't you guys get about that?"
"How about the obvious stares and pining for each other?" Gabe said. "Come on, even ask Cassie, you know how he is with this stuff." Michael glanced over at Cas.
"Don't bring me into this," Cas said.
"Seriously Gabriel, Dean," Michael said. "Stop shipping us."
"Why are you acting so against it?" Dean said. "Overreacting a bit?"
"No, I'm just sick of you guys always assuming we're a couple or will be one. We won't. That's final. Come on Luce, back me up here."
When Lucifer didn't say anything Michael turned to look at him, and noticed the pained look in his eyes.
"Luci?" Michael said.
"You idiot," Lucifer said through gritted teeth. "You fucking idiot."
"What did I do?"
"You denied it. You always deny it."
Michael's eyes went wide as he realized what Luci was saying.
"You were always too busy denying it," Lucifer said, his voice low and strained, "that you were too blind to notice that I don't feel the same. You were too busy denying it that you didn't notice how much your words were hurting me. You're a fucking idiot Michael."
"Luc—"
"What, going to continue telling me how it'll never work and we're just friends?"
"Luce I—"
"Going to keep breaking my heart every single time you speak?"
"Luce just let me—"
"Shut up Michael!"
Michael flinched, looking at Lucifer with wide eyes and hurt. Lucifer just turned and walked away through the rain to who even knows where.
"Michael," Dean said warily.
"I..." Michael said, his voice wavering. "He...he feels that way?"
"All that and you're questioning wether he actually feels the same?" Dean asked. "He's right, you're an idiot."
"But...I thought...he didn't...so I tried to pretend..."
"Look where that got you," Dean said.
"Michael, you should go talk to him," Cas said.
Michael was still standing there with wide eyes looking at where they had last been able to see Lucifer. "Shit what have I done?"
"Go talk to him, clear the misunderstanding," Cas said, putting a reassuring hand on Michael's shoulder. "He'll forgive you."
"You don't know that," Michael muttered.
"Trust me, I do," Cas said. "You can't just leave him like this."
Michael was silent for a moment before nodding slowly. "You're right. I'll talk to him." He ran off in the direction Luci had gone in.
"That was awkward," Gabe said.
"Yeah," Dean said. "But at least they finally got that out there."
"About time," Gabe said.
"Well I want to go back inside," Dean said. "Cas, you coming?" Cas nodded, and they ran through the rain back to the cabin.
"Well Sammy," Gabe said. "Want to have some fun?" Sam smiled and nodded.
But let's leave the Sabriel fun for a bit.
Michael walked back to his cabin shared with Lucifer, the rain completely soaking through his clothes and flattening his hair.
"Luce? You in here?" he called out. There was no reply, but Luci wouldn't reply anyway. Michael sighed and walked through the cabin, looking for Satan.
He found Luci sitting in the corner of his room, the rain having soaked his clothes too. He looked like he may have been crying, and he had his knees pulled up against his chest.
"Go away Michael," Lucifer muttered.
"Just let me explain," Michael said.
"No."
"You know I won't leave until you let me."
Lucifer didn't say anything. Michael sighed and sat down where he was, across the room from Luci.
"So," Michael said. "You...feel...that way..."
"Yes I do," Lucifer snapped. "I love you Michael. There I said it."
"Hey Luce?"
"What."
"I love you too."
This made Lucifer freeze, looking at Michael with surprise. "Don't you dare say as a friend."
"Definitely not just as a friend," Michael said.
"Then why did you always deny it?"
"I thought you didn't feel the same. So I tried to pretend I didn't like you, and that included denying every single claim that I did. Not to mention when people assumed that it kinda hurt because I honestly thought it would never happen."
"For how long?"
"Since we were sixteen."
"Same...damn, why'd we wait five years?"
Michael laughed quietly. "You tell me."
Lucifer smiled slightly at him, uncurling from his ball in the corner. "Soo..."
Michael stood up and moved to sit beside Lucifer, and before Luci could say anything else he put a hand behind his neck, pulled him close and kissed him. Luci responded immediately, pulling Michael closer to him. The kiss became a little heated quickly, five years of wanting behind it.
Michael was the one to pull away when Luci's hand slid under his shirt, to which Luci gave an adorable pout.
"We're on a summer camp full on innocent teens," Michael pointed out. "Let's not scar them for life."
"Aww but Mikey," Luci whined.
"After the camp however," Michael said with a smirk, "you can do whatever you want with me."
A dark look flitted across Luci's eyes and he smiled, before leaning in to kiss Michael gently again.
"So," Luci said. "We were both out in the rain. We both have soaked clothes."
"What are you suggesting?"
"Well we can't just hang out in these clothes all day can we?"
"Didn't we just decide no scarring anyone for life?"
"All I'm suggesting is getting changed into dry clothes," Lucifer said, smirking.
"Sure you are Luce," Michael said, laughing. He stood up and held a hand out to pull Luci up with him. Luci walked over to his wardrobe and got dry clothes out as Michael went to his own room. After Luce got changed he went and walked into Michael's room. To find Michael shirtless.
Lucifer just leaned against the doorway, smirking. Michael heard him enter and just rolled his eyes over at him, holding a dry shirt in his hands.
"Oh come on," Luci said as Michael went to put on the shirt. "Don't cover up the view now that I can openly check you out."
"But it's cold," Michael muttered.
"I know a way we could warm up," Luci replied, walking close to Michael and wrapping his arms around his waist, leaning down to bump his nose against Michael's.
"Am I going to have to put up with this all the time now?" Michael asked, smiling.
"Yep. Deal with it."
"I didn't say I was against it." Michael tilted his head up to kiss Luce gently.
( :D )

"Saaaam get over here."
Sam just laughed at Gabriel. They'd run down to their cabin and Sam was under the safety of the porch while Gabe stood out in the rain. The rain had soaked through his clothes and was flattening his hair against his head, strands of it sticking to his face.
"Come on Sammy," Gabe called, holding out a hand. "Join the dark side." Sam smiled and walked into the rain and over to Gabriel, taking his hand. Gabe smiled and started pulling him down the lake.
They ran like idiots onto the grass right on the banks of the lake, laughing at their own stupidity. The rain was falling quite heavily and had quickly soaked through Sam's clothes, his hair dripping with water.
Gabe just held his arms out, spinning around in the rain while laughing. Sam shook his head at him, laughing too.
"Sammy!" Gabe said, and held a hand out to Sam. "Care to dance in the rain?"
"You're an idiot," Sam said, but took Gabe's hand anyway. Gabe laughed and pulled Sam towards him, grabbing his other hand and spinning them around. He let go of one of Sam's hands and used the other to make Sam twirl around.
"Why am I the girl in this dance?"
"Because you're shorter."
"I'll be taller than you one day, you'll see."
"You keep saying that Samantha but you're not getting any taller."
Sam pouted...and Gabe's mind took an interesting turn, thinking of how he wanted to kiss the pout off of Sam's face...
Gabe froze as the thought went through his mind, and Sam gave him a look of confusion.
"Are you okay?" Sam asked softly, as Gabe just gave him a wide eyed look.
What. The. Hell. Did I seriously just think that? I can't be...I...eh it's not such a bad thing.
"I'm fine," Gabe said, smirking. "Just thought of something."
Sam raised an eyebrow but didn't ask questions. Gabe noticed then that Sam was shivering slightly.
"We should go back inside," Gabe said, putting an arm around Sam's shoulders and guiding him back towards the cabin. "You're freezing kiddo." Definitely not a bad thing at all...
They went back inside, and Gabe went and found a towel and a blanket, making Sam sit down in front of the fire. He threw the towel to Sam before going to change into dry clothes. When he came out Sam threw him the towel after drying his hair, and went to change too.
When Sam came back he sat in front of the fire with Gabe, still shivering slightly.
"Do you not keep body heat at all?" Gabe asked, wrapping the blanket around Sam. "You're too small."
"Shuddup," Sam said. "You're cold too."
"Nah I'm fine," Gabe lied, he was shivering too. Going out in the rain wasn't exactly smart. Sam just rolled his eyes and wrapped the blanket around Gabe too, moving close so he could. Gabe's heart fluttered as he looked down at Sam who was now leaning his head on Gabe's shoulder.
They sat there for a while, the blanket shared between them and Sam leaning against Gabe. At some point Gabe must've fallen asleep.
Sam noticed when Gabe fell asleep, his head tilting to lean on the top of Sam's.
And of course Dean took that moment to walk out of where he had been in his room with Cas, talking about random stuff.
"Uhh, Sammy?" Dean said. He noticed Gabe was asleep, and went to sit beside Sam who was trying not to move but still look at Dean.
"Hey Dean," Sam said quietly as not to wake Gabe.
"You and Gabe seem..."
"What?"
"Close."
"Are you going to give me the overprotective speech now?"
"No...I mean, well..." Dean sighed. "You know I don't trust anyone who tries to be friends with you."
"And until this point, that's protected me," Sam said. "But...I trust Gabriel. And yeah...I do kinda like him..."
"Like as in more than a friend?"
"I think so."
"Well...if you trust him, and Cas trusts him, then that's good enough for me."
"Cas? Don't lecture me on getting close to Gabe when there's obviously something going on between the two of you."
"What?" Dean said in surprise. "I...what?"
Sam just rolled his eyes, and then glanced at Gabe as Gabe shifted in his sleep. Sam smiled softly at Gabe.
"You can tell how I feel about Gabe Dean, what makes you think I can't tell how you feel about Cas?"
Dean just stared at him for a moment before shaking his head. "Nope. We're done talking about this." He stood up and walked back to his room where Cas was probably reading books.
Sam just watching him go, before curling back into Gabe's side and falling asleep there.
~~
Ayyy Michifer :) And Gabe figured out his feelings. And Dean is partially denying his. And Sam likes Gabe too. But who knows who Cas feels because I didn't do anything about his thoughts this chapter. Oops.
Ima make their thoughts clearer next chapter, I forget to do that sometimes.
I wanna see Deadpool. I'm seeing it next weekend with like 10 other people. I don't wanna wait a week. Sigh.
