Chapter 1

Pan's POV

5 years later

"Pan, time for school." Mama called from downstairs.

"Coming Mama." I reply as I slide myself down the stair railing and make my way to the dining room. I have my orange bandana around my short, black hair, a pair of jeans, and my favorite red t-shirt on with my blue backpack strapped onto my shoulder.

I go to sit down at the table to find Papa is reading the newspaper while he's taking a sip of his morning coffee. "Morning Pan." he greets with a smile.

"Morning Papa." I greet back.

"So Pan, do you have any plans for today?" Mama asked as she laid breakfast out on the table.

"After school I'm going to meet up with Trunks to see a movie with Uncle Goten and Bulla," I explained.

"Okay Pan," Papa said. "Just don't cause any trouble....Actually, keep your Uncle out of trouble. You know how Goten likes to cause trouble sometimes."

"Okay Papa, I promise." With that, I went out the door to get to school.

Trunks' POV

I grabbed all of my things for school as I listened to my sister rant about yet another boy she had a crush on. I was tired of hearing it and I know my Father was tired of it as well.

"So he looked at me with his cute smile and I swear Mom, he looked so handsome with his books in his arms," Bulla, my 15-year old sister explained.

"That's great hun," Mom replied, actually paying attention to my sister's rant. "I can't wait for you to bring him home to meet your Father."

Bulla mumbled something under her breathe that Mom couldn't hear, but Dad heard her, "If I do that then he'll be sent to the hospital."

"Well as entertaining as all this is, Bulla and I have to get to school," I interrupt ted. "Come on Bulla. We need to go."

"Okay," Bulla sighed. "Don't get your pants in a knot."

Sisters. Heck, girls. All they talk about are shoes, clothes, boys and stupid stuff like that. Except for Pan. She'll actually talk to me about other stuff like training and stuff like that. I don't train as much as she does because of two reasons; 1. My Father could easily snap my spine, and 2. I just don't have enough time.

As we got in the car, Bulla reminded me of the movie that we were going to see after school with Goten and Pan. I wasn't going to forget it. If I did, I was going to get an earful from Pan and Goten.

Pan's POV

I waited outside of Orange Star High School with Uncle Goten for Trunks and Bulla. Bulla was probably talking about that boy that had smiled at her. She wouldn't stop texting me about it and it was really getting on my last nerve.

Soon, I saw Trunks' car pull into the school parking lot with Trunks and Bulla inside. "Hey Trunks, hey Bulla," Uncle Goten greeted.

"Hey Goten, hey Pan," Bulla greeted back.

I smiled at Bulla and Trunks as we talked to each other. Trunks was nice enough to walk me to my first class as he discussed the movie we were going to watch. "So what do you want to see?" Trunks asked.

"I don't know," I replied. "I kind-of want to see an action movie, not the romantic comedy that Bulla wants to see."

"Yeah me either, and I'm sure Goten agrees with me."

After Trunks dropped me off at my class, I went along with my day. When it came to my third class, I went to art class and began working on my painting of the 4-star dragon ball. (The teacher told us to make something that reminded us of home).

As I did, I heard a snickering that annoyed me so much; it belonged to Monica Hanson. She was one of the "preppy cheerleaders" who thought she owned the school. She and I have a ridiculous rivalry. Every time I do something good, she has to put in her two cents, saying she could do better or how it was just a fluke that I did a good job. That really urks me.

"Oh, hello Panny," Monica greeted, using that annoying nickname for me.

"Hello Monica," I sighed.

"What'cha got there? A little marble? That's all you're painting? I thought that Son Pan would have a better idea for a painting."

"Just leave me alone Monica."

Monica chuckled and then picked up her paint brush. She dipped it into the black paint and then smirked. Then she decided to paint onto my canvas, messing up painting entirely. I gasped and she laughed. "Now that's much better."

I growled in anger. There was more to that painting then just the dragon ball. Grandpa gave Papa that dragon ball when he was a baby. 4 years ago, Grandpa decided to take a boy named Uub and train him. No one had seen him since and the dragon ball was the only connection I had left with Grandpa.

"I was just doing you a favor Panny," Monica said. "It was just a stupid little ball."

That's when I snapped. I grabbed some of my paint and threw it in Monica's face. She growled and then threw paint at me. Soon there was an all-out paint war in the classroom, everyone was throwing paint- even the teacher was throwing a blop or two. So who walks into the classrooom? The principal of course.

"Oh principal, thank goodness you're here," Monica cried with fake tears. "Pan was so mean to me. She threw paint at me and nows it's in my hair. I mean, look at the mess she made."

"But-" I tried to protest.

"Pan, to my office, now!" the principal ordered.

I wanted to protest but I just knew it was useless at this point so I just walked to the office like I was told as Monica smirked.

Trunks' POV

I sat outside the office with Bulla and Goten as I heard the principal yelling at Pan. He had Gohan and Videl in there talking to him and he was mad. "Your daughter's actions have caused a mess of the art room," the principal said.

"Please sir, there must be some mistake," Videl explained.

"There's no mistake," the principal responded. "A reliable source told me she did."

"Reliable source my foot," I mumbled. "It was probably Monica again."

"As a punishment, Pan will have to spend this afternoon cleaning up the art room."

"But, that's not fair," Pan protested. "Monica's the one who ruined my painting!"

"No buts Pan," the principal replied. "You need to own up to your actions."

I heard Pan sigh as she came out of the principal's office with Gohan and Pan. "Sorry guys," Gohan apologized. "Pan will have to miss the movie today to clean up the mess, even though she didn't do anything wrong."

Pan's POV

Stupid Monica. I can't believe I have to miss the movie just because I fought back. She should be cleaning up too.

As I cleaned up the paint-filled room, I heard a knock at the door. I looked up to see Trunks, Bulla and Goten at the door with mops and buckets in their hands. "What're you guys doing here?" I asked.

"Well we had two options," Trunks explained. "Either we go to the movies without you or we help you clean up so we can catch a later showing of the movie."

I smiled. They actually wanted to help me clean up.

"It was Trunks' idea so you should give him all the credit," Bulla said, making Trunks blush a little.

I laughed as I looked at Trunks. It was very sweet of him to help me.

As we cleaned, I caught Trunks smiling as if he actually enjoyed it. Maybe it was good that we didn't go to the movies.

I know I haven't updated this in a while but I've been so busy with Semester Exams and stuff like that and I'm so sorry! Please forgive me guys! Anyway, tell me what you guys think by voting and commenting.
