It smells like chocolate pancakes as i make my way to the kitchen for some breakfast. I look around to see my mom and dad up making me some pancakes. They always make me pancakes on the first day of going back to school. I make my way to the fridge for some milk to go with my pancakes. I set three cups out and pour some in each and put it away. I start to set the table and when im done the food is ready.

"Darling i won't be home when your done with school neither will your dad so you have to ride the bus back." my mom said to me as she puts pancakes on all the plates.

I look at the clock to see that its almost time to leave. I eat supper fast and put my dish in the sink. I look back to see that my mom is getting her stuff for work and the keys so i start walking to her car.

I really wished i hadn't because i can see my cousin walking my way probably trying to get a ride with us. He wore black jeans and a regular t-shirt. While his eyes stood out being the color of blue.

"Hey avah" he said to me as he got closer i could smell his stinky breath.

"Hey john" i take a step back because he is breathing in my face. "Have you ever heard about some tooth paste?" i look at him to see his reaction.

He looked at me surprised that i would  say something like that. "Sorry i woke up late and my mom said to get dressed and come here for a ride." he looked down kind of sad that i had said that. "Do you have any  gum or a mint? "

"Finally , dude I've been waiting for you to ask i have a whole new pack. " i take two out and hand it to him. He opens it fast and puts it in his mouth.

I hear the front door close and my mom walking out. She looks up and says "Who is ready for school? ". She unlocked the doors and lets us get in." Im ready because you guys will be in school while im at work. I wont have to deal with little kids anymore during the day. Yaahhh!!!!" she screamed in the car while she start to drive.

All that i can say is that its going to be a long day.
