Kathy and Elizabeth were walking down the halls Kathy noticed Elizabeth wasn't talking to her as much but she didn't let it bother her.As they came to their lockers and got their stuff for class Elizabeth had a bland look on her face "Whats wrong"Kathy asked but Elizabeth didn't answer.They went off to class and instead of paying attention in science she couldn't stop thinking of why Elizabeth wouldn't talk to her"huh well maybe she's just having a bad day I'm sure she'll talk to me tomorrow,"thought kathy."Kathy,what's an adaptation?"said the teacher only calling on her because she new she wasn't paying attention."Uh kik but seed huh t huhuh an...adaptation...Is when...or...a characteristic...that...helps the animal survive,"said Kathy slowly.

"Hmm, correct"the teacher replied.Kathy sighed with relief that she got the question right. The bell rang and everyone charged out of the classroom to second period.

The next day

Kathy came to school the next day but this time she walked alone she hadn't seen Elizabeth all day.When she got to her locker she saw Elizabeth talking and laughing with their friend Jacey"Hey Jacey Elizabeth why didn't you walk with me"said Kathy Elizabeth had that look on her face again."Because I wanted to walk with Jacey"she replied"Oh uh okay well see you at gym"murmured kathy

Gym

Gym came and Kathy saw Elizabeth she was laughing with Jacey so Kathy thought she must of cheered up.She walked up to Elizabeth and Jacey and as soon as she walked up Elizabeth said,"Uh can you go?"

"What?"replied Kathy shocked by her question.

"You heard me I asked you to go,"said Elizabeth with that on her face,she seemed to always have that look on her face when Kathy was around.

"Seriously why are you ignoring me?"said Kathy seeming to get ticked off.

"I'm not ignoring you I'm talking to you aren't I?"said Elizabeth

"Ugh your so immature,"said Kathy walking away.after gym Kathy was really upset was Kara in a bad mood or was this the end of their frendship?So many questions so little time.

The next day

It was day three of this besties gone bad thing. Kathy couldn't believe this could be the end of a never ending friendship.Kathy again walked to class alone but this time she was glad she wasn't walking with Elizabeth,she still wanted to be friends but she was mad about yesterday.When she got to her locker and kept a serious look on her face trying not to make eye contact.She went to science but this time she payed attention,every now and then she got a thought about Kara but a lot less than the day before.Soon it was gym. Kathy saw Elizabeth talking with Jacey but she ignored them and went to the locker room to change.Now it was lunch Kathy had avoided contact with Elizabeth but without her saving Kathy a seat where was she supposed to sit?

"Uh is someone sitting here?"said Kathy trying to find a seat.

"Sorry yeah,"said the kid.Kathy moved on to find a seat.She eventually found a seat.Of course it was far from any of her friends but at least she could sit down.

Kathy was getting really ticked off Elizabeth was what helped her get through tough things in life,was she gonna stand up and move on or was she gonna collapse.
