The first game came up around three weeks later and it was so much fun. We were on point with our skills thanks to our coach and we believed that we could do it and that is what provoked us to try harder and win. The next game will be in two days and now that we are making it further we have to be on point with our skills and nothing less than that.

AftAfter the first game, which was held at our school, I ran home to tell mother and Aunt Amanda the good news. I ran through the door and I saw that Aunt Amanda was on the sofa with mother who was reading letter.

"We won!" I blurted out.

Mother quickly looked up at me and hid the letter behind her so it was not visible from my angle. She smiled at me and said nothing. How odd, she would always say something; She is known for giving comments, compliments and encouraging people. I wondered. I looked over at her and Aunt Amanda and they were both silent as if they were not there. Something was up but I simply could not figure it out.

I went upstairs and quickly started to do my homework. But I couldn't focus; my mind was on that letter. Why didn't she want me to see it? Was it about me? Would it be best for me not to see it? I wondered. But one thing was for sure; I had to find out what it said.

When everyone was asleep, I snook downstairs and went over to the counter where I saw mother put it last. I opened it and I was a letter from Kevin, he was "dating" my mother after she and father divorced. In the letter it said that Kevin asked for her hand in marriage. This was absolutely terrible; there was always a part of him that I never liked. Anyways, after that I crept up back in bed and I fell into a deep sleep. I woke up the next morning to the beeping of my alarm. I dragged myself into the shower. Once I finished I walked over to my closet and stared at my clothes. The same question popped into my head over and over: What do I wear? What do I wear? What do I wear? I finally decided to wear a striped top with ivviva leggings. I ran downstairs hoping to find some food that can fill my belly up. And as I arrived in the kitchen I saw that letter on the counter. I wish that me reading the letter was a dream but sadly it was a reality. I sat down at the table and started to eat breakfast but I could only concentrate on the letter. I finished up and I left to go to school. When I opened the door, to my surprise Jennifer was standing at the door.

"Hey, good job at the game yesterday your spike won the winning point." I exclaimed.

" Hi, thanks you did very well too, but I think Cayden was the best; because he's captain, of course." Jenn noted.

"Are you ready for the game tomorrow?" I asked.

"You bet." She confirmed.

We walked to school together and on the way we saw a police car race over to our school with the sirens swirling around on the top of the car while making the wheeeee-yooooooo....... sound it always does. When Jennifer and I got to school, we ran over to the police car. We saw that our coach was handcuffed and that there was a suitcase with money in it.

"Our coach is a bank robber!" Jenn said shocked.

Our coach was shoved into the back of the car with the suitcase was thrown in the trunk and the police car drove off. Then Cayden and Brayden arrived and asked what to do now without our coach. We all thought for a minute.

"Cayden will coach us, he has the skills we need to win!" I suddenly blurted out.

Everyone smiled except for Cayden.

"But we need an adult t keep us together." He said.

"I can ask my aunt, I think she played volleyball when she was younger, maybe she could coach us.'' I said.

It was settled and Aunt Amanda will be our new coach, if she agrees.

The next day after school was the second round for volleyball. When we walked out onto the court and we did our cheer with smiles on our faces and Aunt Amanda leading the cheer. She agreed to be our coach. The game started and we were leading with four points and then when Brayden spiked it, the coach from the other team yelled and the made Brayden lose his focus. That was unfair I thought. Then when Jennifer was serving somebody in the crowed hollered at her and made her lose her concentration. In the end we won the game and Aunt Amanda's smile made it even better. When we shook hands at the end of the game, the whole team looked at us with a mean and dirty look. Some people don't know how to loose I thought. Then we finished shaking hands we went to the locker room to have a quick meeting Aunt Amanda was treating us like a real team, in a good way. And she said that we were going to make it to the end and that nobody can bring us down. That, made me try harder in the third round three days later. We barely won that game but we still won and I was mighty proud because I scored the winning goal. That game was also held at our school and did I mention that the next game would be the finals! After the game, Brayden invited Jenn to on a walk with him and she said yes. They went for a stroll in the park we went to when we did the poetry gathering except now it's just her and him.

From what Jenn told me afterwards they sat on the same old wooden bench and as they were talking and laughing together he leaned towards her and kissed her. For what I've heard from Jenn, Victoria walked by right at the moment when Brayden kissed Jenn. Oh my goodness. We will see what happens tomorroSw at school. I thought. She couldn't help but smile. I can predict that Jenn and Brayden are going to be a hot couple because Brayden is the most popular boy in our grade.

I was happy with the way things turned out except the letter. And I guess we just have to love things in our life, it just makes everything more vulnerable. Right? The rest of the day after the third day went calmly. I invited Jenn over so she could tell me everything that happened, not that I needed to know. Then it out turned into a sleepover with fun planned the entire time.

"Do you think he truly likes me?" She asked.

"I think he truly likes you but I think you should ask him." I said.

"We should go to sleep now because I'm tired." I whispered from the sleeping bag beside her.

"Ok." She replied.

We fell asleep along side each other and that was the end to a long day.
