Jealous Part 1

I wake, surrounded by warmth, not the cold I'm used to waking up to every morning at the Academy, in the drafty stone rooms. I'm too comfortable to move. Am I back home?

I open my eyes and see dim purple lighting, then the stars outside the view window. My stomach turns. I'm not home, in our small house. I'm on board a starship, and it's the first official day of the Games. I turn my head to see Hux sleeping on his side next to me. His hand rests on my upper arm and his breath warms my shirt on my shoulder. That explains why I'm so warm. My stomach unclenches and I my muscles relax again. We'll be okay. I close my eyes and listen to Hux's breathing. Hopefully it's not wake hours anytime soon. I want to stay here forever.

The door call-button bleeps suddenly, making my heart jump. I sit up and Hux's hand slips off my arm. He grumbles and wakes.

"Someone's at the door," I say to Hux. I glance at the clock, it's 08:02. When were the door hours again?

"What?" Hux sits up too, his blue eyes hazy with sleep beneath a head of disheveled red hair. He blinks and looks around. We slept right through the night, the best sleep I think I've ever had. And the first time that I can remember ever sharing my bed with someone. Hux's glance turns to me and his eyes search mine for a moment. Is he remembering that I held his hand last night?

"Who's at the door?" Phasma growls, throwing her blanket aside. She fights her way out of the chairs she was lying on, cursing the whole time until she's finally up.

"Wait!" I say, getting out of bed as well.

"Don't open it," Hux adds.

"I'm not going to." Phasma goes to the door console and turns on the screen. Suddenly there is a small explosion and Phasma screams, jumping back as sparks fly from the door. It opens and two Stormtroopers barge into the room holding large blasters, another two following behind them. I quickly step in front of Hux, remembering that the Jedi Master in my dream entrusted me to keep him safe.

"Sleep hours are over," one of the Stormtroopers says, his voice mechanical sounding through his mask. He grabs Phasma by the arm and drags her out towards the door.

"Hey!" she yells, trying to pull away.

"This door is not working," another one says. "Assign them new rooms."

"No!" Phasma yells from outside the door.

"Ren, grab water!" Hux commands as two Stormtroopers come towards us. I duck out of their way and grab a bottle before he snatches my arm. Hux lunges for the chairs, grabbing Phasma's jacket, which has the phaser in it, before another Stormtroopers grabs him by the arm.

"Next time you resist, we will open fire," the Stormtrooper says to him. We're shoved out of the room and into the hall. "No hiding during day-hours."

"We weren't hiding," Phasma snarls. "We just got up."

"Have this room permanently sealed," one of them says to the others. They nod and get to work. "Keep moving," he says to us, pushing Hux with his gun. I Force push him into the wall and have a sudden urge to choke him. Phasma grabs my arm.

"Don't," she says, pulling me along. She looks over to the Stormtrooper. "We're leaving. We don't mean any trouble." She grabs Hux's arm too and ushers us both down the hall.

"Maybe it will distract some of our opponents," I say to Phasma, teasing her. She gives me a death glare in return. It's hot on board, too hot. I'd always hated the cool stone buildings at the Academy but now I'm wondering if being too hot is worse.

"It probably would," she says, leaning back and sticking her chest out in her white tanktop. I roll my eyes and look away. We're at the ship's armory, one of the rooms that Phasma changed the door codes on. After the encounter with the Stormtroopers this morning, she thought we should find ourselves some armor. But there are no weapons or armor in the large storage room. I glance at her tank top again, the thin fabric shows her breasts underneath in way that makes my eyes keep wandering back every two seconds. She didn't have time to put on a bra before we were kicked out of our room.

"Why is it so hot everywhere?" I say, glancing at our only water bottle on the bench between us. I need to stop looking at Phasma's breasts before my arousal starts to become obvious. The water bottle is half empty now. We all took one drink earlier.

"I'm still thirsty and hungry," I say.

"We don't know if the water contamination problem has been dealt with yet," Phasma says. "So for now it's this one bottle." She picks it up and sets it on the other side of her. "And we're saving it."

"Maybe they've fixed the food synthesizers?" I say, my eyes wandering to her chest again.

"My face is up here, Ren," Phamsa says. "And no, I doubt they'll bother to do that, in a Game of death."

"Someone's messing with the environmental controls," Hux mumbles at my other side. He's leaned back against the wall and seems to be taking the heat the worst.

"We need to get to the bridge where the captain's office is and the main controls are." Phasma sighs. She seems drained from the heat too. "I don't have voice admin access to the computer anymore."

"I think Snoke's taking over back control of the Games," I say, my eyes dropping to Phasma's breasts again. "With the Stormtroopers everywhere and-"

"Here." Hux takes grabs Phasma's jacket from the bench beside him and tosses it to her. "Put this on."

"Why?" Phasma asks.

Hux looks angry. "It's got your gun in it, so you should wear it."

She takes it, then smiles a little. "Oh," she says, then puts it on.

The sound of the door bleeping and sliding open makes us all jump up to our feet. Phasma reaches for her blaster but doesn't pull it out. A blonde haired boy, who I recognize but whose name I don't remember, runs in. He looks about as young as me but I know he can't be, because I'm the youngest. How he managed to pass the First Order training course, with such a small figure, I never understood. He doesn't seem surprised to find us in the room, as though he knew we'd be here.

"Master Hux, I'd like to join your team." He gets down on his knees and bows his head.

I glance at Hux. His lips curl into a lopsided grin.

"Master, huh?" he says.

"Yes, sir," the boy says.

Hux looks down at the boy.

"What's your name?"
