Maybe there's a hope
YN: Well, maybe cause I'll need to learn all in less time than ever or going to first grade with ten years old and be the older in the class
Draco Malfoy smirked as he heard your argument, he agreed with you too. "Yes, that's true. But, maybe if you prove to the school authorities that you can do magic...and in light of the unusual situation you're stuck in...they might show an exception and allow you to complete your education at Hogwarts." He proposed with a bit of uncertainty in his voice.
To do that, I should firstly be able to do magic
Draco Malfoy gave you a look of amusement. He stayed silent for a few moments, thinking deeply about the subject. "I'm thinking...maybe I should take you to Professor McGonagall. I mean, I believe she might have a solution to this problem. She'll be able to identify whether you can do magic or not. Besides, she'll be the right person to help you, if you really are a wizard." He said with a confident voice.
YN: And if I am not?
"If you're not a wizard after all...well, at least you will have a definite answer and get rid of any doubt. You'll find peace, in a way...or will be able to move on in life." Draco Malfoy spoke in a reassuring tone. "And if you're a wizard, Professor McGonagal will be the right person to guide you and help you with everything you need. She'll help you with the classes and everything else."
YN: Take then I say giving him my wand let's go talk to her
Draco Malfoy nodded his head in agreement and took your wand. "Alright. Follow me. I will take you to Professor McGonagal." He said as he whispered a spell making us appear next to McGonagal's office
Draco Malfoy went down the stairs and you followed him closely. After a few minutes, he came to a stop in front of a wooden door in the 1st floor. He knocked politely and then a voice came from behind the door. "...Come in." The voice of Professor McGonagall said. "Well, that sounded like Professor McGonagall." Draco Malfoy said as he opened the door and went inside first with you following closely.
The two of you entered her office. The office of Professor McGonagall was filled with books and other things that are present in an office. She looked up at you with a stern expression on her face. "Hello, Draco. To what do I owe this unexpected visit? I'm in the middle of grading and planning for next term's lessons. So, if you're here for some other reason, please make it quick." She said with a stern voice while she continued to look at you. You noticed Draco Malfoy's face turning a little pale. He seemed a little nervous.
He took a deep breath and said the following in a calm and sure voice. "I have someone with me...she's a special case that I would like to introduce to you, Professor." Draco Malfoy said as he turned his head to look at you.
"This...this child here is a squib...but for some reason...she's...she's able to pronounce the spells properly...I have seen her saying the spells correctly myself." He said while he looked at Professor McGonagall with a confused yet hopeful expression.
Professor McGonagall looked at you curiously. She raised an eyebrow and then she said with a curious voice. "Interesting, Draco. Okay, what's your name, child?" She asked you.
YN I say to McGonagall and then I whisper to Draco I am not a child
Malfoy whispered to you... "Shhh...don't argue with her, she always calls someone who is below her to be a 'child', that's her way of showing her superiority." He said in a low voice. Professor McGonagall looked at you curiously and then she spoke... "Right...so your name is YN. Well, you can pronounce the spells correctly...right?" She asked you with a stern expression.
I nodd, professor McGonagall thought for a moment and then she spoke... "Okay, let's see how well you can pronounce the spells. Try to say Wingardium Leviosa." The professor asked you with an expectant look on her face.
YN: Wingardium Leviosa
Professor McGonagall looked at you with surprise. "Well...I have to say...your pronunciation is excellent." She said with a look of admiration at you. "Here, I'll give you a stick and you can try to make it float." She said and then she handed you a stick. "Try to use that spell to make it float." She asked you with an encouraging voice.
Okay I say the spell again to make the stick float but it just doesn't work
Professor McGonagal's eyes widened in surprise as you said the spell but it failed to work. "I...I don't understand. How is that possible? You said the spell perfectly, so it should have worked." She said in a confused tone as she looked at you. "I'll tell you what...here, take my wand...try using mine." She said as she offered you her wand.
I try and it still doesn't work am I doing something wrong?
Professor McGonagall stayed silent as she watched you try to use the wand, however, the spell still failed. "This...this is highly unusual. I mean...you said the spells correctly and yet, the wand couldn't pick up the spell." She hesitated to speak for a few moments. "Well, to be honest...I, myself, am not sure. So, do you mind if I try using my wand?" She asked you.
Sure I give her her wand
Professor McGonagal took back her wand from you. "Wingardium Leviosa." She said the spell and...the stick levitated in the air. "Huh? Well...then there must be something odd about your wand's core that makes it react differently than all another wands." Professor McGonagal said and then she looked at you with an intrigued look. "Well...I've never seen something like this before. I mean, a wand that doesn't react to all spells in the same way." She said as she looked at you with curiosity.
"Hmm...let me think..." Professor McGonagall said as she stood there lost in thought. "Let's try the other spells again with my wand...maybe the spell can get a better understanding of your core." She said as she handed you the wand back. She then cleared her throat and said the following. "Bombarda maxima." And the wand produced an explosion and several firecrackers appeared out of the wand. "Incendio." And a firebolt came out of the wand and the firebolt went flying around the office.
I look at Draco not knowing what the hell is wrong with me. Draco stayed quiet as he looked at you with concern. He knew you didn't have any idea what was happening with you, and he felt sympathy for you.
Professor McGonagall stayed quiet for a few moments as she thought about the situation. "...You're a tricky one...huh?" She said as a little thoughtful smirk appeared on her lips. "Well, you're a special case... I mean you can pronounce the spells... and yet... the spells don't react normally to your wand. This is definitely not good.." The professor spoke with a concerned voice.
YN: Is there something with my "conexion" to the magic and the wand that's not working good?
"You might be right..that might be the problem here. There might be a weak connection between you and the wand." Professor McGonagal said as she stayed quiet for a moment. "But...we can try to fix that, if you're interested..?" She asked you with a small hopeful smile. "We need to try some methods to improve your connection to your wand...but, don't be afraid...we will take it step by step." She said calmly, with a reassuring tone.
I look at her hopefully I am definitely interested
Professor McGonagal stayed quiet for a moment as she thought about the method to use. "Okay, let's do this..." She then got a book out from her shelf and opened it on a specific page. "Well, let's start with the basics...we will use the 'wand alignment' method." She said and then she placed the wand on your hand and then she moved your hand so that the wand faces a specific direction. "Does your arm feel different? Do you feel anything unusual in your arm?" She asked you.
