This cover might need some explaining. First of all, it looks a simple cover and yes, I was going for that, (Less Is More), but it was far from simple. I used a lot of symbols and below I'll explain it all. 

I started with this.

This probably needs some explaining. For a covercontest we needed to make a cover based upon a story. A guy John loses his voice after an injury and is not allowed to sing anymore, while that is his life.

 Well, this is a symbole. The smoke represents his voice, which he loses. 

Then I edited it in this picture. 

This is a symbole as well. Vinyl records are expensive and if you get a recording contract, you're good. Which means wealth and money. 

I disliked the tapes, and got rid of them and of I got rid of the awful yellow colour.  Mixed the two pictures and there we go!

The title is Serenity: which means tranquility or calmness and silence (but in a positive way). In here, I tried to mix the genre which is Feel-Good. 

The story about John goes on (I didn't come up with the story, it just what we had as info.) he gets jealous over the guy who replaces him. 

I tried to do something with this in the subtitle, because he has to deal with his inability to sing. So something must happen, right?

Anyways, this is what the cover means (or more how I designed it.) Usually I do not tell this kind of information, but people might intrepert this on another way and this way you see what I was thinking.
