But now he was swinging around New York City. Enjoying your own freedom. When he hears the sound of several sirens. And soon after the sound of much destruction. Soon some Clarim Diário helicopters fly over towards the source of the confusion.

Alex: {What is that?}

He thinks, soon starting to swing through the buildings, approaching the scene of the chaos, that it was the busiest place in New York, Times Square. When he arrives, he sees a species of lizard woman causing problems for the authorities present. This was the "villain" known as Lizard.

Alex did some research after he escaped from that facility. Among them about the known super-beings of this world, which has a huge number of women with superhuman powers or abilities, with an extremely low number of men with such powers and/or abilities. Being in a proportion of, more or less, 20 heroines and/or villains for 1 hero and/or villain. Because of this, the world's superhuman population is predominantly female.

And during his research, he discovered about the serum that Dr. Courtney Connors developed using reptile DNA as a base, to provide the human body with the same regenerative capabilities as a reptile, due to the fact that she wanted to recover the arm she lost when she was shot. by an explosion while serving as a battlefield medic. However, the serum caused very problematic side effects, transforming her into a very aggressive reptilian being. However, Alex knew that she just couldn't control her reptilian side, which acted like a second personality, and that's why she ended up having "outbreaks", as Alex decided to call them. He even ended up breaking into Dr. Connors' old laboratory, in which she created the serum, to try to find a way to recreate the serum and make it more stable. So that she could control the transformation into Lizard. Just as she would keep the regenerative abilities originating from the serum, with her mind while transformed, even if in part.

Alex: {Looks like it's time to administer the serum.}

He thinks, remembering that he had one of the ampoules of this improved serum in his Inventory, ready to be used.

It was then that he received a new System Quest.

He then swung towards a light pole that was close to the Lizard, with the Lizard about to throw a motorcycle at a group of police officers who were trying to restrain it.

But when she launched the motorcycle at the police, Spider-Captain teleported to the middle of the path, and blocked the motorcycle's advance with his shield. And to say that his sudden appearance surprised everyone would be an understatement. He then turns to the police officers behind him and says:

Spider-Captain: Get people out of here. And they better put a perimeter on the blocks around Times Square. Well, things could get really ugly.

He said, with the officers doing as asked. It was then that Spider-Captain attacked Lizard, with her also attacking him.

Lizard tried to jump on top of Spider-Captain, but he managed to dodge by sliding under her, then firing his launchers at Lizard's legs and pulling, causing her to fall face down on the ground.

He tried to take this chance to inject the serum, but before he could take the vial from his Inventory, the Lizard got up and charged at him once again, this time managing to knock him to the ground. She started to try to bite him, but thanks to his impressive strength he managed to prevent her fangs from reaching him.

Spider-Captain: {Wow! That breath isn't the best!}

He thinks, feeling Lizard's breath, which, as he said, wasn't the best. It was then that he had an idea of ​​how to immobilize her, even if for a short time. He then positioned his feet against the Lizard's stomach, and by pushing hard, he managed to send her considerably far away. He then teleported to just above her, clinging to her so that she couldn't easily pull him off. But that doesn't mean she wouldn't try to get him off her back however necessary.

Spider-Captain: I'm sorry! But this will hurt a little!

He said, soon lifting the part of the mask that covered her mouth, thus revealing her fangs. He then delivered a strong bite to the Lizard, in the region between the neck and collarbone. Lizard ended up screaming and managed to rip Alex off her back, but ended up being paralyzed after that.

Spider-Captain: Now is the time.

He thinks. It was then that he approached the Lizard again, when he felt his Spider-Sense go off, allowing him to dodge a volley of shots coming from above.

Spider-Captain: What now?!

It was then that he noticed some aircraft flying over the area. It was then that its poison lost its effect on the Lizard, allowing it to move again.

Spider-Captain: Damn.

He comments to himself. But instead of the Lizard attacking him, she decides to run away. However, when Alex tried to follow her, he was stopped by a group of what he could only assume were hunters, or something of the sort.

Spider-Captain: *Irritated* And this now?!

he wonders, soon realizing that he would have to defeat these hunters if he wanted to pursue the Lizard.

Spider-Captain: Very well. Let's get this over with.

He then begins to face the hunters. With them being knocked out in several different ways. Either with punches and kicks, or web strikes, or electric attacks, or a combination of the three.

After finishing off the hunters, Spider-Captain goes after the Lizard, who was leaving a very easy trail to follow. Consisting of: Overturned cars, toppled poles, destroyed hunting drones, among other types of destruction.

Spider-Captain: I can see that Damage Control will have a lot of work to clean up this mess later.

He also noticed some Daily Bugle helicopters flying over an area.

Spider-Captain: She must be there.

He soon arrived at the area, seeing several hunters surrounding the Lizard, with ropes and chains attached to her, trying to restrain her. This behavior made Spider-Captain very angry.

Spider-Captain: *Irritated* HEY!

He said, soon hitting whoever seemed to be the leader with a double kick, propelled by the web, right in the head. Knocking him out immediately.

Spider-Captain: *Irritated* Let her go!

He said, soon taking his shield from her back. Using the same to cut the ropes in a throw that made a circle around the Lizard. As he used his stingers to destroy the chains. Once the Lizard was free, the shield returned to Spider-Captain's hands. Such an event made the group of hunters considerably nervous. She then approached Spider-Captain and said, in a hissing voice.

Lizard: Thank you.

Spider-Captain: No need to thank you.

He then gave an evil smile under his mask and asked:

Spider-Captain: *Evil Smile* How about we fix these guys?

The Lizard's response was a reptilian smile, which Spider-Captain accepted as a yes. The two then begin to fight together against the hunters, with some of them retreating.

Time Break – A Few Minutes Later

Having defeated all the hunters present, about 20 each or so, the two were now on top of a building. With Lizard laughing a little.

Lizard: *Laughing* Wow. I haven't had fun like this in a long time.

Spider-Captain: I'm glad you had fun. And I'm thankful I didn't kill any of them.

Lizard: Okay. I was just having one of those bad days.

Spider-Captain: And I feel like it involves those hunters.

Lizard: Nailed it.

Spider-Captain: Could you tell me why they're after you?

Lizard: I have no idea. Courtney was having a good time in the lab when these guys showed up and started threatening her with their guns. She panicked and then I took control. And I think you can guess the rest.

He said, his tone soft and welcoming. Lizard then offered his right arm to Spider-Captain, with him soon injecting the serum right into the artery, so that the serum would spread more quickly. After a few seconds, nothing happened.

Lizard: Okay. At least you tried to help us. And he did more for us today than many people have done in years.

She said, making Spider-Captain feel a little better.
