Sorry it's short.  I've been really busy

Tony sighed. He glanced toward the fight again and saw Spiderman swinging away. Tony sighed again, Spiderman had escaped. The Avengers looked about ready to follow. Tony sped as quickly as he could towards them. Now, how would he get them to leave Spiderman alone?

He engaged his thrusters and landed on the rooftop by the rest of the team. "Wait."

"We have to follow Spiderman before he gets away." Steve said continuing toward the roof's stairwell.

"We need to leave him alone." Tony said trying to ignore the way Nat was staring at him.

"What do you mean, Tony?" Nat said.

"I think, I think we made a mistake."

"Our orders are to capture Spiderman." Steve said again.

"What Steve means is that Fury threatened to send other agents after Spiderman if we didn't go. Agents who wouldn't have any qualms about hurting him." Nat said still staring at Tony.

Behind his mask Tony fumed. How dare Fury do that!

Clint kept switching his gaze between the two. "Um... Is there something you guys aren't telling us?"

"I think Tony found something." Nat said her voice calm and her gaze unwavering.

Tony's shoulders slumped and he let the Iron Man suit disengage itself. "He's just a kid."

"You mean that intern you were talking about?" Steve asked.

"Guys what's going on?" Bruce asked over the comms.

"Yes, I am confused as well. Why are we not going after the Man of Spiders?" Thor asked.

"Spiderman is the intern I was talking about but that isn't why we need to leave him alone. I think we all know by now that Spiderman isn't a villain and I'm pretty sure Fury knows that to. But I overheard him talking, I'm not sure to who, but what that kid's been through, it would be wrong to go after him."

"So we should just ignore him and let Fury follow through on his threat?" Clint asked frowning.

"No." Tony sighed, frustrated. "I'm not sure what to do you, I just know that we can't hand him over to Fury."

"Alright." Nat said. Tony whirled in her direction.

"You agree with me?"

"I think we all agree that there's no good reason to go after Spiderman. Besides we've gone against Fury plenty of times." She shrugged.

Tony felt himself relax as the others nodded in agreement.

"But." Nat continued and Tony tensed again. "We should still probably get in contact with Spiderman. If we can get closer to him then Fury may not press the issue as much."

"What a wonderful idea, friend Natasha! We can befriend this Man of Spiders!" Thor said.

"But how are we going to do that?" Bruce asked over the comms.

Steve nodded. "It will be difficult to gain Spiderman's trust after having fought him."

"We'll figure it out. But we should head back to the tower and keep the pirate from doing anything rash in the meantime." Tony said reactivating the Iron Man armor.

Not sure how soon I'll be able to get the next update out because I'm coming up on finals and will be working on several projects so I'll be pretty busy
