"Wait, so you're-"

"And Peter is-"

"Yes"

Jess had to nearly drag Gwen with her to Oscorp but decided she needed to know their secret.

"I knew it" Jess stopped, already halfway into the building and turned to Gwen.

"What?" Gwen smirked and stepped past her, into biology floor.

"Yeah, I mean you two have had the veil of mystery around you since you two met each other" Jess huffed and walked after her.

"We weren't even-" She tried but Gwen was already busy getting the code. She stared at her for a moment before she sighed and reached inside her bag, grabbing her suit.

Jess hopped out of the closed, in full suit minus her visor. She had opted to use her old goggles instead which were strong enough to withstand acid. Her phone went off so she grabbed it.

"Hey, where are you?" '

"OsCorp."

"You have to get out of there right now, okay?" Jess looked back at Gwen.

"The antidote is cooking"

"No, no, no! Connors is on the way. He's coming to you right now. He means to disperse them with the device, he's gonna infect the whole city!"

"I'll get Gwen out, but I'm staying"

"You're gonna wait there after what I just told you? People are gonna die! You leave right now! Listen, that is an order! Okay?" Jess huffed.

"I'm not leaving."

"Did you hear what...?" Jess hang up and placed her phone on the table. She then turned to Gwen.

"You need to get out of here, the Lizard is coming" Gwen turned to her and gawked at her appearance. "Gwen!" Gwen blinked and shook her head.

"We need to get everyone out" She stalked over to the wall and pulled a lever, turning on the fire alarm. Jess, accepting that Gwen wasn't leaving, sped over to the antidote computer.

"Can't it go any faster" Gwen shook her head, running over to her.

"No but maybe we ca-" There was a crash behind them making them freeze. Jess turned to Gwen.

"Hide." Gwen nodded and towards one of the air shafts. Jess quickly dismantled the computer and handed it to Gwen who was already hidden in the shaft. She nodded at her and closed the shaft.

Jess ran a hand trough her hair, trying to come up with something when she smirked and sped off. Good thing too because seconds later the Lizard charged into the room. There was a silence before he roared, seeing the machine broken. Jess smirked from her hiding spot behind the desk. She placed on her goggles and sped away.

Time seemed to slow down. The Lizard stood proud and tall in the middle of the room, his eyes closed, sniffing. Jess stared at him for a second before she punched him, square in the jaw. The Lizard flew back from the punch, straight in some desks. He scrambled up and roared. Jess smirked at him and sped away again but the Lizard shot his tail out, flicking her trough the glass wall of one of the offices. The glass broke on impact and Jess groaned.

Images flickered before her eyes, a song rang trough her ears and the taste of iron coated her taung. Jess groaned once more and pushed herself up.

"Jess!" Jess groaned again as a hand tried to help her up. Shakily she stood up just as her vision cleared.

"Gwen?" Gwen nodded and supported her to the side.

"He got the device"

"And the antidote?" Gwen moved her free arm up to show her the syringe. Jess nodded and grabbed the table for support. "You need to get out, I'll get it to Peter" Gwen handed her the syringe. "And if I don't come back..." She swallowed.

"Jess" Gwen sighed.

"No, I need you to call my dad. Tell him everything, and that I don't blame him" Gwen stared at her for a moment before she nodded. "Go" Gwen released Jess and ran out.
