It had taken her two rolls of bandages and half a bottle of scotch but her wounds were wrapped and tended to. The next day however was a whole different problem. With a small hangover and painful ribs she went to school. She had concealed the bruise on her nose but the throbbing remained, making it nearly impossible to concentrate. Luckily her day consisted just 3 hours which were filled with lots of questions from the other students. Most of them were confused why she wasn't paying attention seeing she always got A's.

After school she went to Aunt May's and told her that she wasn't feeling well. Aunt May immediately insisted that she should get rest and chicken soup. Jess just smiled and told her she would be fine. Peter was in his room again, not even noticing her. Once home, Jess went to her room and took out her laptop. JARVIS scanned her. Her ribs were healing rapidly and her nose was nearly healed, one of the benefits of having powers.

Jess turned her laptop to the recent news and saw the masked vigilante at the top. Peter. Jess squinted her eyes and moved closer to her screen. The vigilante had stopped 3 criminals already. All man with blonde hair. Then it clicked. He was going after Ben's killer.

The next day Jess felt much better. The bruise on her nose was nearly gone just as the throbbing. Only now her ribs were itching. It was lunchtime so she sat with Gwen at their usual table. Yes they were friends now. After Peter started to ignore her Gwen was her friend to talk to. Peter had decided to join them today. Well by joining I mean he sat with them and decided to take a beauty nap.

"So how's May?" Gwen asked her. Jess swallowed her protein bar and smiled.

"Great. She was even able to cook alone yesterday" Gwen smiled.

"That's great. Do you think you can help me with this one?" Jess nodded.

"What does it say?"

"True or false. The extraordinary velocity vector is a function of both mass and acceleration." Jess shook her head.

"False" She explained as Gwen quickly scribbled it down. "Because the weight above any pendulum has no effect on sling state. It doesn't affect frequency, but it's totally a factor in momentum." Gwen shook her head and smiled.

"Could you repeat that, slowly this time, Speedy" Jess laughed and nodded.
