Chapter 9

[Serena POV]

'This is not good I need to get to the class as soon as possible.' I quickly started to bang on the door to break it or something. But it was way stronger. Next I tried to jump from above the walls. But again it was too high for me. Sighing in defeat, I sat down on the seat feeling miserable. Suddenly I heard footsteps coming in the bathroom. I was glad, I stood up and banged the door. “Hey please let me out of here. I'm stuck.” I said, thankfully the person opened the door.

When I recognized who she was, my facial expressions changed to disgust. It was dawn, one of my so called friends who locked me here. I don't even want to call them my friends. “Why are you here?” I asked in anger. Dawn stood there silently, “I'm sorry…” she replied after a while. Her voice showed hint of apology, but I was still annoyed. “Why do I care, first you locked me here and now you came to apologize? What do you actually want to do?” I said, “I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that but everyone else forced me to come along. Please believe me. Ever since I came to know about Ash's truth, I've been feeling guilty. But I was not able to gather the courage to stand against our friends like you. That's why I kept quiet and did not tell anyone. I'm sorry for not standing by your side when they were bullying you. I'm sorry….” Dawn cried out.

I knew that she was telling the truth, because I could feel the guilt she was feeling for her deeds. So I did what I didn't want, I gave up on being angry on her. Because she was my Best friend and I knew she was telling the truth.

--------

School has ended but not for me and Dawn. Apparently we got detention for not being in class. After waiting for a long hour we finally got to go home.

As we were walking out of the school gates we were confronted by 'them' again. I did not like the look on their face. Dawn felt tense too. She was not much confident of her choice against them so she tried to hide behind me a little.

"What do you want now?" I asked with a strange growl. I did not want to even talk to them. "We just want to ask Dawn, why is she with you? And what about our warning? We told you that if you won't listen to us we would punish you, isn't it?" Misty hissed, I was about to reply when Dawn spoke up. "I'm sorry but I will not be with you guys anymore. You guys are so inhuman, you don't think of anyone other than yourself. You don't care about other people, you all are selfish! If you people had even a fraction of heart you'd know that the world is full of people that are a hundred times better than you." She roared it all out, I was taken aback by her. While they were growling in anger.

"That's. it!" Iris snapped, "you're gonna pay for your mistakes!" She pulled out a pokeball from her bag and threw it, the light from the pokeball faded away to reveal her Dragonite. I felt very scared now. "Everyone back off, I'm going to punish them with my Dragonite." She said as everyone went back while she her Dragonite came forward.

Dawn took out a pokeball too. She called out her Mamoswine. Of course Mamoswine had the type advantage but Dragonite was at far upper level than Mamoswine. I don't know if it can save us.

"Dragonite use FLAMETHROWER!" she yelled, "counter with ICE BEAM." Dawn commanded, both the Pokemons released their attacks. The attacks made contact and a blast was caused, I had to shield my eyes to protect them from the dust. Then I realized my Sylveon was immune to dragons and she would be a great choice.

I quickly called her too. Seeing this Misty joined the fight, "Two against one is cheating and I don't think good girls like you would ever like to cheat." She hissed and called her Gyarados.

"Gyarados finish them all with one strong….." she paused giving a slight smirk, "... IRONTAIL!" She spoke, and Gyarados' tail glowed brightly before it dashed forward to attack.

Yeah, we were done for, with an attack super effective to both. Mamoswine and Sylveon were thrown away and fell unconscious. We called them back and looked at the girls, they had a sinister smile on their faces.

We didn't have anywhere to run because we were already backed up to the wall. At that moment Dawn whispered, "I'm sorry, I think I got carried away." "I guess you did and it surprised me.", "So….? Any idea how we can get away safely?"

"I don't….." I paused as I remembered what Ash had offered to me.

-flashback-

"If you ever find yourself in trouble, like some bad guys following you or any wild Pokemon trying to kill you and you don't have anyone to help, just yell for Charizard. He can hear you from miles away. He will reach for help at once. I have told him about you and he has agreed to it."

-flashback-end-

"... Actually I do…" I replied, I took a deep breath and shouted at the top of my voice. "CHARIZARD! HELP ME!" Everyone stopped for a few second to look at me like I was maniac. Nothing happened so miette spoke, "you think shouting like that will a Charizard come to your rescue? In your dreams girl… now Iris… punish them." She said, Iris smiled once more. "Gladly… Dragonite, use DRAGON PULSE…." I looked forward in horror if Charizard didn't come on time we'd be done for. "... You see the pulse will not hurt that much but the pain will be everlasting."

Dragonite charged a purple coloured pulse in his arms when suddenly he was smashed into the ground by something big. That big thing was none other than Charizard's foot. He landed directly on Dragonite making him fall down on the ground. We were all shocked from the sudden action and jumped back a little.

When the dust cleared a bit Charizard's eyes were revealed, and even though he was here to help me, I felt fear just by looking in his eyes. They had this horrific look in them, he could scare off the opponents just by staring at them.

He gave me a nod then turned back at them. I could see the terror in their eyes. He opened his wings as large as he could and gave a loud roar. It was enough to scare them off. They ran like crazy, screaming for their lives. I think it would be enough to keep them away from me for a few good weeks. When they were gone we realized they left Dragonite in the crater below Charizard.

"Thanks a lot Charizard, you can go now." He gave a smile and picked up Dragonite and flew away. "What will he do with him?" Dawn asked staring at the sky where Charizard went. "I don't know… maybe … eat him?" I said with a shrug, even though I knew he would never. "Egghh, that's gross.. but! On the second note how did he come to save you when you called?" She eyed me suspiciously. "It's the legendary trainer, his Pokemon will come to your rescue if you are really really in trouble and have nowhere to go."

She took it without question and we both made our way to our houses. Or maybe I went to Ash's? I had to tell him about them and Charizard.

As I walked through the forest, I felt someone was near. I stopped for a moment and looked around. There was rustle in the bush behind me and I jumped back with a shriek, as a small bunnelby hopped out. He looked at me for a while then hopped away. Whereas I was still trying to calm my racing heart at the fact that it was just a small Pokemon.

Finally, when I was calmed, I turned around to continue to Ash's house. But, there I faced another problem.

Staring directly in my eyes were another another pair of dull, emotionless yet scary looking eyes. A bored groan left my mouth as I had to take care of another thing which I was scared of. Torterra.

"Do you have to scare me everyday before I reach Ash's house?" I asked but there was response. "C'mon Torterra, you know it well that I'm not going to do anything to Ash. We are friends now."

He looked at me then eyed at my bag where I kept my pokeballs. I guess he wants to battle me? "Do you want a battle?" I asked and he slowly nodded. I knew I had a type advantage Pokemon but. He was Ash's Pokemon, who had fought in leagues. While mine was just a Braixen yet, who had no knowledge of battles. I only used her for my performances and play time.

But I wanted to go to Ash's house so I agreed. He took me to a clear area and stood on the opposite end. I called out Braixen, "Hey there Braixen, I need you to battle Ash's Torterra so that we can go his house." Braixen looked at Torterra then at me. And the look on her face was of fear. "Braixen brai brai xen?! (You want me to battle that thing?!)" She asked in horror. "I'm sorry but he asked me to battle him and I cannot gather courage to deny him." I cried. She sighed then gave me smile, "Braixen! (Okay, let's do this!)" She said.

She took her position right in front of me. "Alright Torterra! We are ready, I will take the first move." I announced then commanded Braixen her attack.

"Braixen start with…"
