[Charizard's POV]

Rage.

That was all in my mind when I blew my flames and evolved into my mega Y form. I put in all of my strength to bring out the most of my mega energy. It was what I needed at the moment.

Power.

That was what surging through my veins when I mega evolved and my stats skyrocketed. I was going in for a suicide. I knew that for sure. But I was not going to sit behind and watch my mentors die.

Pain.

That has what brought me up to where I am now. I have grown stronger by enduring the pain Through the muscle tearing training I was given by my mentors. All of those older Charizard that lived in that valley. They trained me day and night and carved me out.

I can never forget the training and the teaching I received from them. Nor will I let them die when I have the power to protect them in the age they are not able to defend themselves.

I roared loudly as I entered the mountainous terrain. My wings moved on their own as I made my way gliding through the narrow passage between the cliffs.

Soon the team Flare airplanes and huge helicopters, carrying unconscious Charizard were seen from afar. I roared in anger at the sight. Several men appeared at the edge of the cliff. I could see guns in their hands even from this distance. I got in close really fast with my boosted speed.

I fired a flamethrower at them as I passed over their heads in a blink. I activated my steel wing and engulfed myself in the flames of Blast burn as I flew through the aircrafts hovering in the sky. The intense heat melted the metal body while the steel wings cut through them like butter. All the while a Strong stream of flames kept spewing out of my mouth at any Flare grunt that was targeting me from the ground. I was shocked when I saw several mini tanks crawling on the ground. After taking care of the skies, I dived down as I strengthened my arms for a heavy duty weight lifting as I used bulldoze on the ground ploughing out the rocks and flipping away any ground units. The tanks were flipped off when I rampaged through the field like a chisel scraping away unwanted wood carvings.

My whole body was on fire, not because of the blast burn but from pain. The adrenaline boost from mega evolution was starting to wear off and now the pain of taking on all the armored vehicles head on was taking effect. My mind was now coming back in order and I tried to recollect the current situation. My eyes widened as something struck my mind all of a sudden. I flew up as high as I could and scanned the area. Sure there were many weapon loaded vehicles and grunts but I hadn't spotted anyone who was leading them. They must be hiding somewhere.

I looked around and saw the other Charizard doing their best at fending off the now fallen grunts. And I could also see the Kalos military horde attacking and carrying unconscious Charizard away from the area. I'm assuming a medic team was on its way. Another thing fishy about the situation was the Kalos army was here from such a far distance but the Johto or even Kanto army didn't even make a move on at least reaching here. I am sure if ash had asked someone for assistance they must have contacted Kanto and Johto foremost.

My mind was distracted as a shearing pain shot through my left wing, I turned my head and realized the wing was penetrated and was bleeding. Must have cut when I was dealing with the helicopters. I ignored the pain and dove down and activated flare blitz as I made my way down to the cave. That was one place I haven't checked yet since arriving here. It was dark but the flame from my body lit the cave like day.

I reached the deep end and landed on the ground, I made my way cautiously, looking in all directions for any possible hidden grunts. I reached the Large hall where we used to treat the injured Charizard. My eyes widened when I saw what was at the other end of the hall.

It was Lisa and Charla, they were hanging from ropes with their bodies tied up. They had bruised marks and their mouths were tied with straps. They were unconscious, that means they must have been in this condition since long. I rushed to them and hurriedly undid the ropes and straps. I caught them and laid them on the ground. They were still breathing so I was relieved but this just made my blood boil even more.

Suddenly several grunts entered the hall behind me, all of them carrying heavy machine guns. They were considered very deadly as they could pierce even through dragon's scales. I observed how they aimed not at me but at Charla and Lisa. I quickly activated steel wings fused with heatwave and dragon rage and embraced them both. They knew I would not leave these two to dodge the bullets. Those bastards.

The barrage of bullets started to strike my back as the pain shot through. I endured it with all my strength. I roared with every bullet hitting me. I could feel my scales starting to chip off. Thankfully the move fused wings were still intact and protecting Charla and Lisa. But I doubted my back could endure the bullets any longer.

I am sorry Ash.

I couldn't do it.

I lost.

"Enough!" a deep voice rang behind me as the firing stopped. I was barely able to move now. My back was bleeding. My wings were damaged from the outside, but I managed to not let a single bullet pass through me to them.

I heard footsteps approaching me as I slowly turned around to spot Lysandre smirking. My eyes narrowed at him as I tried to let out a growl but it only hurt me more.

"Don't push it. You're just gonna kill yourself trying," he said with an unamused tone. He shifted his sight towards Lisa and Charla and raised his eyebrow. "Wow, I'm impressed you didn't let a single bullet pass through you to them." he smirked before he pulled out another gun and pointed at Lisa. "Let's see if you can still keep it up."

Just as he pulled the trigger I jerked my right wing in front of Lisa, taking the hit. A roaring cry escaped my mouth as my wing bled from the shot. "Impressive." He then turned around and ordered the grunts to take me out. They also took Lisa but left Charla back. They were ordered to kill the girl if I resisted. And my guess is if I tried anything after getting out they might bombard the cave and bury Charla inside.

I was frustrated. I had lost.

We walked out of the cave. Lisa was carried out like a sack of sand. I wanted to move forward and take her in my arms but they'd shoot her if I moved. All I could do was listen to them as they led me out. Upon exiting the cave, we were met by the disastrous battle in full swing.

"EVERYONE FREEZE!"

A loud voice was heard. I dared not look at the speaker, I knew who it was. Lysandre was standing a little further ahead of us with Exploud that had some kind of device connected to them. Lysandre himself had a small microphone on his right ear. As he spoke the sound was emitted from the speakers on Exploud's body.

"The legendary Charizard has been captured and if anyone dares to make a move, He will be shot down immediately."

There was a wave of silence over the valley as everyone was standing without a single sound.

"Surrender now or die," Lysandre said as his grunts aimed at all the Charizard, both that lived here and from the Kalos military force. No one dared to move, the sky had started to turn dark from the rain clouds forming over the valley. I hadn't realized it until a drop of water fell on the tip of my nose.

I am in my mega Y form, that means my drought ability is active. It cannot rain as long as a Mega Charizard Y is present in the area. I kept my smirk to myself as I could think of only one Pokemon who had ever managed to make it rain in my presence. The rain poured down more heavily as I knew what I had to do now. Just a bit of water tolerance.

I swiftly scooped Lisa from my right, before anyone could shoot her and wrapped my Steel activated wings over her just as the men around me aimed at me with their heavy guns. But before they could pull the trigger the guns dropped down, cut in pieces from the muzzle to the handle. Lysandre pulled out his gun and started firing in random directions, before a figure emerged right in front of him and swiped cut his gun in half, as Lysandre's face turned into that of a scared skitty as he watched the dark type Pokemon hold a blade to his throat.

His grunts turned and aimed their guns at Greninja who made no move of backing off. However, soon everyone except all the Charizard and the few military men dropped down to the floor as electricity surged through them. The wet floor had made the valley into an electric conductor as electric sparks danced about across the field, they shot strong sparks on the grunts and their Pokemon but dared not touch the Charizards.

Even though the water falling on my back was feeling painful, I smiled while staring at the Greninja standing in front of me. Soon a helicopter was heard approaching closer and as it neared the valley I could spot Ash standing at the edge of the door of the helicopter. Pikachu entered the valley through the entrance just as the helicopter flew over us. He had sparks flying wild around his body which made his fur wave like Jellicent tentacles.

Pikachu's electricity kept the grunts from moving and Greninja held his blade under Lysandre's throat as the helicopter landed and Ash jumped off and came running to me. The situation was much under control now as the army men came and handcuffed Lysandre. As a few more larger helicopters approached which had more military in them.

Ash stood right in front of me as I kept my wings wrapped around the unconscious Lisa. I looked at Ash with guilty eyes while he gave me a stern look. I knew I had messed up and he was angry at me, I could have died if he wouldn't have turned up here on time.

"Dumbass.."

My eyes widened upon hearing his voice, it was almost at the verge of breaking down. I watched as his gaze turned softer and glistened as tears formed in his eyes.

"What were you thinking idiot!?"

Tears rolled out his eyes as he stared at me, Greninja and Pikachu joining behind him. They didn't say a word as Ash stood there tears falling from his eyes, No one spoke a word for a moment until Ash moved forward and hugged me tightly. I tried to muster some strength to give a reply but all I could say was, "I'm sorry.."

I looked at Greninja who was eyeing at my wrapped wings, I waited for a moment before moving back from the hug as Ash wiped his eyes to see why I moved back. I slowly opened my wings to reveal an unconscious Lisa lying in my arms. Their eyes widened when they saw her.

"Oh shit! Quick call the Medic team." Ash said as he dashed forward and checked her pulse. He sighed in relief when he realized she was alive. The Medics came and took her to the aid as Ash turned to me with a smile, his eyes were still a little red but his tears had stopped.

"Good job Charizard. I'm proud of you. But try not to be so reckless. I don't ever want to lose you," Ash said as he patted me lightly. "Now let's go get you patched up. Your back is in really bad condition."

I took a deep breath as I relaxed my body and let the pain take over me. I roared loudly, crying out in pain.

Finally...

I don't recall anything else after that, the last thing I know was I reverted back to my normal form as Greninja moved ahead to support me and then just like that I was out.

Hey guys, I hope you enjoyed this Chapter, and I hate to say this but the book is almost coming to an end. Probably around Chapter 30 or so... Thanks to everyone who supported me to get this far. 

Also, next week.. there will be a small bonus chapter which won't have anything to do with the story plot but it will be according to the timeline. Just a bit of fun.
