[Lucario’s POV]

Hilbert woke me up early the next morning, I groaned as this was too early we used to wake. But for some reason Hilbert was excited, Ash was already ready with his gears and downstairs. He must be going for his training, then it struck me, I haven’t met pikachu yet. I quickly went down and warmed myself up. Hilbert came down as well and we all made our way where Ash led us.

The sun still hasn’t come up, it was a little dark. We reached a clearing where I spotted two pokemon. One was Charizard and the other was Pikachu. I smiled and sped up. I called out for Pikachu, who looked towards me and smiled as he ran towards me as well. We both crashed in a hug and I caught him as we both snuggled, It's been so long since we were meeting again. He jumped down and I noticed the cut on his eyes, “How did that happen?” I asked with concern. “Ah.. Long story, simple conclusion, Battles.” he gave a sweatsmile. I shook my head at him. “Still as reckless as you were..” we both chuckled as Charizard came up to us, we both bumped our fist. Back then I was just a Riolu and Charizard was the most terrifying thing to me. Why? Well, he is a Flying type and I’m a Fighting type, He is a Fire type and I was to evolve in a Steel type, he was 8 times stronger than me, not to forget the size, he is huge like really huge.

Anyway, we were about to start our training, Pikachu and Charizard met Hilbert and Ash told how Pikachu will need to work up his aiming. “Alright, Charizard set up a battlefield, use Earthquake, Rockslide, Bulldoze and Flame Charge.” Ash commanded to Charizard as we all moved back. Charizard flew up, as ash touched his keystone, the mega stone on Charizard’s tail glowed as he mega evolved into his Y-form and engulfed itself in flames, he then flew down and slammed its feet on the ground shaking it, he continued the earthquake as the ground break and large pieces broke apart he then used rockslide and bulldoze to move them and he used the flames on himself to melt the boulders and reshaped them as pillars, he built different sized pillar and cliffs and in no more than 10 minutes we had full blown Rock type battlefield ready in the middle of the forest.

Me and Hilbert stood there, not breathing, shocked, wide-eyed, while Ash looked in front with a satisfactory smile and Pikachu was Excited to test it. Charizard landed in front of ash with a thump as he reverted back to his normal form. The flames died down as steam was rising from his scales. “Good job charizard, now take some rest, you’ll continue your training with others after two hours.” Ash said as Charizard nodded and wet to rest under the shade.

“So, let’s get started Pikachu!” Ash pumped up his fist as Pikachu let out an excited cry and sparked his cheeks. “Alright Lucario, you too. Ash had told me what we need to do, since Pikachu has lost his focus due to the injury, we need to help him aim with one eye.” Hilbert told me, as I looked at Pikachu, who smiled at me. “Okay, Pikachu scan the field so you know the map.” Ash ordered as Pikachu dashed ahead and ran over the field, scaling it. I looked at Hilbert in confusion. “Maybe you don’t know, but it’s difficult to determine the distance of an object using just one eye. So Pikachu needs to know where he is standing and how far is the spot where he is going.” Hilbert explained and I looked at pikachu who was running over the ground, sometimes tripping or crashing in the rocks, but not hard enough to hurt him, he had his Iron tail activated and when he felt he was about to crash he would swing it to defend himself.

After a few moments Pikachu was done and he took a spot on one side of the field, I took my position at the center most cliff as told. “Alright we will start up with working on Pikachu’s defence, Lucario if you may, start with forming small bullet-like Aura spheres and firing them at Pikachu.” Ash asked me, I blinked twice before shaking my head signalling, I don’t know how, Ash turned his head at Hilbert with a bored expression, who gave him a sheepish smile. He turned back to me, “Okay can you make multiple Aura spheres at the same time?” I formed two Aura spheres in both of my palms and showed him, “Right, now focus on using less energy in making them.” I nodded and lessened the energy I used to form a little smaller spheres. “Great, if you notice it must be feeling light and better..” I moved my arms to weigh the spheres and smiled as it sure was light, “If you can make smaller spheres try that or we can continue our training.” I dispersed the spheres and tried to form smaller ones, they were better than before and felt less tiring than the original ones. I nodded back at Ash as he smiled at me, “Wow, I never knew that Aura Spheres could be used that way..” Hilbert said with an impressed expression at Ash who smirked back.

“Alright Lucario, start off with less spheres and aim at pikachu.” Hilbert ordered, I formed several small spheres in my palms and shot them at Pikachu who dodged them with swift side to side movements, the Spheres were light like bullets and faster than the original Aura sphere, but Pikachu easily dodged them, “Woah, pikachu has got real fast!” Hilbert said in amazement. “Lets speed things up, Lucario try forming more Aura spheres and increase the speed.” I nodded and formed several more bullets and started shooting them at pikachu, who now had to run around dodging them. He even used Iron tail to deflect them. A few of them hit Pikachu as he was still not fully used to his vision, but he didn’t flinch though the Aura spheres were quite impactful.

We kept doing this for a few more moments when Ash asked us to stop. By the time Pikachu had got some Idea of the speed and position of the attacks and was easily dodging them. We took a small break and then we took our positions again. This time we were doing Pikachu’s attack practise. “Alright Pikachu, start with targeting a rock and use Thunderbolt.” Ash said, Pikachu let out a small cry and used Thunderbolt on the rock. It hit on the mark, then he targeted another rock which was also a perfect hit. He moved to several of them simultaneously, few of them missed, but most were hit. “Okay, now let’s try on Lucario, I hope Lucario can handle it” I narrowed my eyes at Ash who was smirking at me.

“Come at me with everything you’ve got Pikachu, I’ll show you my strength.” I growled at Pikachu who was mimicking his trainer’s expressions. “Pikachu.” Ash called out and paused for a moment as his smile went from smirk to sinistrous, “Thunder storm.” “Huh? Wait that not an att- oh wait…. Oh no.” Hilbert sounded confused at first but soon something struck him as his expression turned horrified. I turned my eyes towards Pikachu who was sparking electricity from his cheeks.

“You wanna see my ‘everything’? Then have a look.” Pikachu let out a huge wave of electricity that engulfed the whole field, there were sparks flying randomly all over the field just like in electric terrain but this one was much stronger. Pikachu then started running around at high speed which kept increasing as time passed. “Lucario, use Meteor mash and destroy the field.” I did as told and laid out my attack, Huge meteors were formed from the rock around me and they all aimed towards the battle field, but right when they were about  ten metres above ground the sparks rising from the field struck the meteors and crushed them to pieces. I just stood there, staring at my strongest move being crushed. “Pikachu, Thunder… but don’t hit.” Ash commanded, no sooner the words left his lips, Pikachu let loose a huge electric spark in the sky which turned the clear sky into a thunderstorm cloudy sky. Which in return dropped numerous lightning bolts on the field. The tremors were so strong I lost my footing and stumbled on the ground. It went on for a few minutes and when it stopped, it revealed a devastated field, all the cliffs and pillars were down, the only places unharmed were the rock where I was, and where Pikachu was.

“Holy arceus, what was that?!” Hilbert screamed in shock. Suddenly Pikachu and ASh started laughing hysterically, even Charizard joined them. “Oh my god Lucario….. you should….. look at your face!.... It’s hilarious!!” Ash said in between laughs. They weren’t wrong, I was sweating profusely and my eyes were wide open, my heart beat increased, it was like I faced hell. This was even scarier than Charizard in my childhood. “ASH THIS ISN’T FUNNY! YOU ALMOST GAVE HIM A HEART ATTACK!” Hilbert yelled at him, “I’m sorry, but I just wanted to have some fun.. I’m sorry if that was too much for you. But I needed to clear the field because it’s almost time for my other Pokemon’s training.” Ash replied. I had calmed a bit now and made my way back to Hilbert. 

Soon, other Pokemon started reaching the spot, and we all met them, it was a great reunion after such a long time. Hilbert let out his other pokemon, who joined meeting their old friends as well. “Okay, now everyone is here so let me tell you all today’s pairings. Sceptile, you will spar with Infernape. Snorlax, you will spar with torterra. Pikachu you are with Charizard. Lycanroc, you will spar with Greninja. Now today’s main motive is to hone your disadvantages, you are paired with your weaknesses. The first of each will practise defense and the second will keep them at their toes, no laybacks.after that we will have a break and switch your pairs for the second ones. Now find a spot and start your training.” Ash commanded, I was impressed by this as this was a good way to improve the team’s strength.

I looked at Hilbert and asked him to do the same, “Uhhh, well I’ll need to see what your weaknesses are in order to pair you guys. We can do this tomorrow. Today we are going to practise certain moves which need polishing like your Aura sphere, you can practise the bullet spheres like Ash said, other than that I need you to try two bone rush at the same time. It will be great for combat.” I nodded and found a place to practise my bone rush. Hilbert told everyone else about their task and they got to work. We trained for a long time, until we heard a voice, “Hey guys! Are you training?” I turned back to see Serena heading towards us. 

“Serena! Goodmorning!”

Hey guys, It's been so long. I missed you guys and this story. I had to actually read back a few chapters to recall the plot. Sorry, but now I'm back expect next update in a fortnight.
