[Serena POV]

"Braixen start with FLAMETHROWER." I said, Braixen used her stick and fired a strong flamethrower. But I think it was strong only for us. Because Torterra blocked it just by the shake off his head. I was shocked that my Braixen was at such low level against Torterra.

"Braixen try again and use WILL-O-WISP." I said, Braixen again used her stick and fired a spiral of fire. Again Torterra boldness it by stomping his foot on the ground.

I was going to say another attack when Torterra released his wine and wrapped it around Braixen. He then picked her up and pulled her closer to him. "Braixen!" I cried in worry, but I saw he wasn't attacking, instead it looked like they were talking.

After sometime he returned her back to me. And I could see the sudden change in Braixen's mood. She looked sad. "Are you alright Braixen?" I asked, she looked at me sadly then hung her head down, "BRAI…." She sighed softly then silently pressed the button of the pokeball in my hand and got sucked inside.

I was shocked by her behavior and when I looked towards Torterra, he was also going away. I was left there alone and confused, after that I made my way to my destination and decided I would talk to Ash about it.

When I reached I noticed the door was locked so, I took out the 'spare key' from my bag. Yes, Ash gave me a copy of his house key. Surprising, right? Anyway, I entered and knowing no one was home, I went to the kitchen and helped myself with some water and snacks.

I sat on the couch in the living room and took out my phone. I messaged Ash, "I'm at your place now." My phone dinged in a few moments. "KK, I'll be back by 6. Got some extra work." It said, I replied it with a smiling emoji. Putting my phone aside I decided to do some homework.

It was hardly 10 minutes, that I was interrupted by the door bell. Groaning, I stood up and went other receive it. Outside was a delivery man, "Hello, is this Ash Ketchum's residence?" He asked in a confused voice, "Yeah, but he isn't at home at the moment." I replied.

"Oh, and who are you?" He asked suspiciously, "I'm Serena…. His… friend." I replied, now I was confused a little. "Really, do you know him... that well?" He asked, now I knew he was trying to figure out something. "Is that a confidential file for someone special?" I asked, he hesitated, "Depends, if you know about him." I said.

"Hmmm, I do. He's the legendary trainer." I told, his expression changed to a bit solemn, "But that's not enough. I am allowed to give this file only if I get the right password." He told, "well, I don't know the password. So maybe you'll have to come later." I replied, the man smiled at me.

"Something tells me I can trust you, so what's your name?" He gave a genuine look. "It's Serena.." I replied, he wrote something on the paper and gave me the letter. "So miss Serena, this letter is to be opened by Ash Ketchum only. Do the signature here…" he said showing me his notepad. I did the signature, and he went away giving a smile.

I took the letter in, I observed it from above. It had the name, Scott. I wonder who he is? But I feel like I've heard it somewhere, but can't remember. Anyways, I put the letter on the table and got back to work.

My work was almost complete when the door opened. I turned my head to find Ash holding some groceries. I quickly went to help him. "Hey Serena, I'm sorry I'm little late. I hope you weren't bored." He said, I replied him a smile, "no it was fine, in fact I did some homework while you were gone." "That's great, so how was your day?" He asked, "Yes, that's what I'm here for. Y'know today was my worst day. I, for the first time got detention! And do you know why? Because those girls locked me inside the toilet. They are annoyed of me being with you and threatened me to come back. They even to the point of hurting me with their Pokemon, Iris used her Dragonite to use DRAGON PULSE on me. But I was saved by Charizard." I told and suddenly Ash's expression turned dark. "Oh my God! They didn't hurt you did they?" He asked worriedly, I shook my head. "No, they couldn't, I called Charizard and he scared them away and apparently he slammed her Dragonite, and took him with him." I told, he took a sigh. "Also, your Torterra has some serious problem with me. Today he challenged me to a battle and during battle he said something to Braixen which turned her off. She isn't talking to me. Could you help somehow…" I told, "yeah, I can try. I'll even talk to Torterra if needed." He replied, "thanks, so if you please…." I said as I took her pokeball.

I called her out. She still looked sad. "Braixen? Can you please tell me what happened back with Torterra? Ash here can help you, if it's something Torterra said that saddens you." I asked, but she didn't reply just shook her head.

"Hey Braixen, listen. If my Torterra said something bad to you I'll scold him, but if you won't share the problem we can't help, y'know that right?" Ash asked, she looked hesitantly, "BRAI.. XEN…(I can't tell it... in front of Serena...)" She replied with a sighed. I was shocked that Braixen wasn't ready to share something with me.

"What? But why? Okay, if you alone with me would you tell me?" He asked, Braixen nodded slightly. Ash then turned to me. "Is it okay if I talk her alone?" He asked, I was upset that Braixen didn't want to tell me but if talking to Ash may help her then I was fine. "Yeah, it's fine. I just all my Pokemons to be happy." I said with a weak smile, I looked at Braixen. She too looked in my eyes sadly, "BRAI…( I'm sorry…)" she whispered. "It's okay, go have some talk." I replied, Ash then led her to his room.

Again I was left alone, literally it's fifth time the day. I feel so left out, suddenly I realized if Ash is home where is Pikachu? Urghh…. Why? I sighed and waited patiently for them to return. It felt like hours and not to mention this disturbing thought that keeps coming back, 'why won't Braixen share it me? Does she not trust me?'

Soon they both returned back. Braixen looked somewhat better but the same could not be said for Ash. "How did it go?" I asked, he gave me a half smile. "It was fine…" he replied, this was again worrisome. "What's wrong?", "Nothing… just… Braixen wants to be trained… by me." He told, I for some reason felt unworthy. I gave a look at Braixen, she wasn't looking into my eyes. "Why?..." I asked, "well she feels… she isn't getting enough training. Torterra still doesn't feels sure about you. During her battle with Torterra, he told her that she needs to train harder because I won't be there every time to help you out of your troubles. Braixen took it too seriously, she thought that if someday you got in trouble and I couldn't help you and something bad happened to you, it would be her fault for not being capable of saving you." He told, I was in complete shock after listening. I looked again at Braixen, she was hesitating to look at me. "Braixen…" I said spreading my arm to call her, she slowly came to me, "... I would never hold you in fault for my safety. If it's anything, it would be my fault for not being capable of making you able. If you want to train harder, I'm ready to train by your side. But you have to promise me to never try to hide anything from me." I said, Braixen came and hugged me, "BRAIXEN. BRAI. (I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking straight. I was just too scared after Torterra's comment.)" She replied. I felt happy now, in the end everything was fine.

"Thanks Ash, for helping Braixen." I replied with a smile, which he returned back.

"Okay, now that everything is sorted out. Let's get to work. I have got some ideas for our presentation." Ash said as he opened his bag. He took out a notebook. And showed me some sketches he drawn for our project. I looked at them, and I was impressed they were pretty great.

"Wow, these are great. So, are we gonna do one of them?" I asked looking at him, "not necessarily, we can used mixed, that way it will look different." He replied, I liked that idea. "Hmm, you're right. I like this idea…. Let's get started then." We got to work and pretty much got our presentation to the point of somewhat presentable.

It was already late now, I guess we lost track of time. I was really tired now. Ash was in the kitchen making us dinner and I was doing some extra touches to the project. At that moment, the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it.." I said and walked to the door. It was Pikachu, and he was even more tired. "Hey, Pikachu… where were you?" I said as he got in. He gave me a reply by acting what look like a dragon. "You were with Charizard?" I guessed and he nodded, he then went to the couch and flopped on to it.

"Looks like you're really tired." I said, Ash came out of the kitchen with a tray and some Pokemon food. He gave one plate to me and placed the Pokemon food for Pikachu and my Pokemons.

He had made simple curry and rice. After eating he walked me back to home.

"Thanks for helping me out with Braixen. She really took it seriously." I said, as we stood at my porch. "It fine, sometimes, we get confused at our decisions and it goes same with Pokemon too. I'm glad I could help." He replied.

We stood there for a moment in silence just staring at each other. Ash broke the silence first, "so, I guess I should head back, it's already too late…." He gave me a smile, "see you tomorrow at school." He said then turned around. "Ash…." I called out suddenly, making him stop and turn back. "Yeah?" He looked at me confused, "....I. uhh… I was thinking if we could do the assignment at my home tomorrow…. Since we will be needing the art kit and it would be too much for me to carry…" I spoke, "yeah sure… it will be fine.." he replied then turned back and walked away, shouting goodbye as he turned briefly. I just stood there smiling and fangirling inside as I for the first time had invited a boy to my house.

Guys, I'm so sorry I didn't update for so long. I don't know what to say, but if you write stories too you might how irritating writer's block can be. And I'm sorry to say the next chapter might take long too.
