Chapter 1: A Lying Witch and A Warden ( Part 1 )
The episode opens to Amora in the principal's office. Amora wore a frown and a sad look in her eyes as the principal stared at her with a stern look.
School Principal: Do you know why you are here again, Miss Thorn?
Amora: ( in a quiet voice: ) Well, um, because I have cut class again?
School Principal: Yes. This has been the fifth time this week you've cut class, and because of this your grades keep going down.
Amora: I know, I'm sorry, sir.
School Principal: ( sighs ) I have informed your father and he's on his way to pick you up. This is your last warning to clean up your act or I will have no choice but to have you repeat a year of school. Am I making myself clear, Miss Thorn?
Amora only sadly nods her head in response without looking up at the principal, as she knew what was going to happen once her father picked her up.
( Cut to a few minutes later )
Amora was now in the car with her father, she was quietly looking out of the window with a sad expression while her father was shouting at her while driving. She was holding her backpack in her lap.
Amora's Father: I can't believe you are still cutting classes! Do you think it's funny to have the principal call me all the time because you can't do what you are told for once in your pathetic life? It's worse enough that you keep plaguing my life with your existence at home, but do you really have to do it while you're at school too? Are you even listening to me?!
Amora: Yes, sir...
Amora's Father: ( angrily: ) You know what?!
Amora's Father stopped the car at a driveway of a two-story house with white walls and a gray roof, and many windows along the front. He then unbuckled Amora's seatbelt, leaned over to open her door before he shoved her out of the car. Amora caught herself before her head could hit the walkway while her backpack landed beside her, causing her beloved teddy bear and her other belongings to fall out, which were a book of the Good Witch Azura series, a few sketchbooks, and a few pencils.
Amora's Father: ( to Amora, angrily: ) You're walking home. Maybe this will teach you a lesson, and you can forget about having dinner tonight. Be home before sundown or you'll won't be getting any breakfast tomorrow either.
Amora's Father then drove off, leaving Amora at the walkway as she was picking up her things with tears in her eyes. As she heard her father drive off, she was trying her best to keep her tears from falling as she picked up her things, but when she reached to pick up her Good Witch Azura book, her eyes widened to see that the book was gone. She then looked up to see a little owl carrying a bag in its beak, she then saw that her book was sticking out of the bag. The little owl then turns and flies away.
Amora: ( gasps ) Hey! C-Come back!
Amora then grabbed her backpack and chased after the little owl. She then paused when she followed it to an abandoned house, but the owl continued right inside, causing Amora to worry more about the owl's safety than getting her book back. She then forced herself to steel nerves before she ran inside after the owl. The front door slams shut behind her, and the entire inside glows, it was visible through the windows and the holes in the roof.
( Back with Amora )
Amora followed the little owl, until she stopped and noticed that she was now inside a tent filled with odd objects while the little owl hops through it.
Amora: Oh, my... W-Where am I?
???: ( off-screen: ) Finally, you're back.
Amora let out a silent gasp and drops to the ground out of fright, before she hesitantly peeks back up and walked forward. She moved the flap of the tent aside slightly to see the back of a woman.
Mystery woman: Now let's see what we've got here.
The little owl lands on top of the woman's staff. She turns the owl around, and it becomes a wooden fixture of the staff, causing Amora to silently gasp in response out of shock and watch as the woman begins taking stuff out of the bag the owl was carrying.
Mystery woman: ( takes out a phone ) Garbage. ( Tosses the phone before taking out a ring ) Garbage. ( Tosses the ring before taking out a golden chalice ) Garbage. ( Tosses the golden chalice before she gasps ) Now this...
The woman took something out and put it on her face before turning around to reveal that she was now wearing a pair of joke glasses with eyes on springs.

( A/n: I don't own the image, but this scene instantly made Eda one of my favorite characters in the show. )
Mystery woman: This will make me rich.
The woman then took Amora's book out of the bag, making Amora look at her book with worry.
Mystery woman: And this... Oh, this will make good kindling-
Amora then ran out of the tent and grabbed the book before the woman could hold it close to a burning candle, before running back into the tent with a fearful look.
Amora tried to head back to the door, but it folded itself in three different ways before she could walk through it and it disappeared. She then turned around to see the woman holding a key with an eye on it, the same eye that was on the door. The woman then took the joke glasses off before she spoke to Amora with a serious look.
Mystery woman: You're not going anywhere.
Amora quickly shoved her book back into her backpack before she ducked out the back of the tent. She tried to run away, but she skidded to stop mere inches away from falling off a cliff. She looked out and saw that she was clearly not on Earth anymore and she gasped at the sight before she backed away from the cliff.
Amora: ( scared: ) W-Where am I? What is this place? H-How did I get here? Am I dead?
Amora then flinched as she felt someone touch her shoulder and she turned her head to see the strange woman again.
Mystery woman: You wish.
The woman then pulled Amora back to the stand and had her sit down on a stool.
Amora: ( quickly, out of fear while covering her head: ) I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I j-just wanted my book! Please don't hurt me!
Mystery woman: Hurt you? Why would I hurt...a potential customer?
Amora hesitantly uncovered her head and looked at the woman with confusion.
Mystery woman: ( she holds up a green croc ) Can I offer you a human foot filled with holes? ( Puts the croc aside and grabs a stick of men's deodorant ) A bar of green human candy? Oh, oh!
The woman then holds up a portable TV to Amora, who still had a look of confusion on her face.
Mystery woman: How about this black shadow box that reflects only sadness?
Amora: ( shyly: ) Oh, um, that's not all it can do. Here, um, let me if I can...
Amora takes the TV and grabbed a couple batteries from a dish that was labeled " Human candy! ( ??? )" She then puts the batteries in the TV before she pressed the power button, causing a jazzercsise video to start playing on the TV with loud music. Several customers and vendors stopped what they were doing when they heard the noise. Amora shyly backed away a little as several monsters began crowding around the TV.
Monster #1: I'll pay 40 snails for the screaming box!
Monster #2: I'll give you a hundred!
Monster #3: Can I eat the tiny person inside?
The whole crowd then started bidding on the TV, and the woman looked at Amora with an impressed smile.
Mystery woman: What did you say your name was?
Amora: ( shyly: ) A-Amora, Amora Thorn.
Mystery woman: ( as she was taking people's money: ) Well, Amora, that was pretty clever...for a human.
Amora: Um, that's a strange thing for another human to say...
Mystery woman: Oh, dear child, ( takes off her bandana to reveal her pointed ears. ) I'm not like you.
The woman then climbed onto the table and Amora looked at her with shock and confusion.
Eda: I'm Eda the Owl Lady, the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles!
Amora: A-A witch?
Eda: I am a respected, feared-
Then suddenly a large creature wearing a pointed mask breaks the TV with his fist.
Guard: Busted!
Monster: Run! It's a guard!
All of the customers ran away screaming, which caused Amora to look at the guard with fear while Eda just hops down from the table as the guard holds up a wanted poster of Eda.
Guard: Eda the Owl Lady, you are wanted for misuse of magic and demonic misdemeanors.
Amora just stayed quiet, as she was too scared to say anything and didn't dare try to move as the guard grabbed Eda's arm.
Guard: ( to Eda: ) You are hereby ordered to come with me to the Conformatorium.
Eda pulled her arm free from the guard and looked annoyed at him.
Eda: Would you guys quit following me around? I haven't done squat.
The guard then suddenly grabbed Amora, causing her to make a frightened squeak as he lifted her up by the back of her shirt.
Guard: And you're coming too for fraternizing with a criminal.
Amora just silently whimpered as her body started to shake out of fear, causing Eda to feel a sudden urge to protect the girl despite not knowing her.
Eda: Oh, all right, all right, you win. Just let me get my stuff.
Eda reaches under the table before she pulled out her staff and swang it at the guard, hitting him in the head. He falls to the ground with a grunt and Amora made a startled squeak in response as she fell to the ground. Eda then spins her staff and taps the button of it on the table, making all her stuff float midair. Amora slowly picked herself and her backpack up from the ground.
Eda: Whoops. Can't forget this.
Eda reached into her hair and pulls out the key Amora saw earlier, she pressed the eye to summon the portal door. She then closed her hand into a fist, making the tablecloth wrap itself around all of her stuff. She then sticks her staff through the bundle, grabbed Amora's arm, and started running, dragging Amora along with her.
Eda: Follow me, human.
Amora: ( scared: ) I thought he was going to hurt me!
Eda: Ha! I won't let 'em hurt you. A human like you is much more valuable to me alive than dead.
Amora: Huh?!-
Eda then suddenly pulled herself and Amora onto her staff. Amora lets out a small scream as she and Eda took off into the sky. Amora closed her eyes out of fright and held tight onto Eda, making silent whimpers. After a few minutes, Amora heard Eda's voice.
Eda: You can open your eyes now, human.
Amora slowly opened her eyes and saw that they were flying high above the Isles. Amora look in silent awe at the place.
Amora: ( in awe: ) What is this place...?
Eda: This is the Boiling Isles. Every myth you humans have is caused by a little of our world leaking into yours.
Amora watched, still in complete awe, as various winged creatures flew behind them as Eda was talking to her. She then saw what looked like a griffin that looked extremely similar to a griffin that one of her classmates made in class.
Amora: Is that a... griffin?
The griffin then began to barf up live spiders.
Eda: Yep. Griffins, vampires, giraffes...
Amora: Giraffes?
Eda: Oh, yeah. We banished those guys. Bunch of freaks.
Eda then lands the staff on the ground and hopped off of it, but her hand stayed behind, causing Amora to jump off the staff with a startled squeak.
Eda: Oops.
Eda then grabbed her hand and screw it back on her wrist.
Eda: That happens sometimes.
Amora stayed silent as she wanted to ask Eda if she knew the way back home, but then her mind reminded her of what was awaiting for her back at home, her father. After a few long minutes of silent thinking, Amora finally gathered up the courage to speak, making a decision that will change her life, but she had no clue if it was for the better or not.
Amora: ( shyly: ) Um, if it's not a bother, do you know where I can stay for a night or two? Or at least until I can figure something out for myself...?
Eda: Don't worry, kid. You can stay with me, but...
Eda suddenly levels her staff in front of Amora's face, startling her and causing her to back away slightly.
Eda: Only if you help me with something first.
Eda chuckled before she lifted her staff away from the human girl's face, and walked away with the bag of her stuff following her.
Eda: Come along, human.
Amora slowly began following Eda to a large house made from white brick with a sloping blue roof, it had a stained glass window above the window that looked like a large, orange demon eye. There was a crumbling tower with orange moss growing on it, it was on the rear left of the house. Eda and Amora walked up to the house, Amora had a worried look on her face.
Amora: A-Aren't you worried about those guards finding us?
Eda: Nope. My house has a state of the art defense system.
Amora then looked at the strange owl head with curiosity before she let out of a startled squeak when it spoke.
Owl head: Hoot-hoot! Password, please!
Eda then poked him in the eyes.
Owl head: Aah!
Eda: We got no time for this, Hooty. Let us in.
Hooty: All right, all right! Geez! You never want to have any fun! Ow! Hoot!
Hooty then opens his mouth wide enough to completely cover the door. Amora hesitantly stepped through the door as Eda went through the door. Eda's bag stayed outside as Hooty closed his mouth. Eda could tell that Amora was still a bit shaken up from their run in with the guard, she then had an idea on how to lighten the human girl's mood.
Eda: Welcome to, ( snaps her fingers ) the Owl house.
Amora watched in complete awe as the candles in the room ignite, the fire in the fireplace starts burning, a cauldron starts stirring itself, and a broom starts sweeping the floor. She then looked up and saw a depiction of an owl beast of some kind begin to glow with a great screeching noise.
Eda: ...where I hide away from the pressures of modern life. Also the cops. Mm, also ex- boyfriends. ( Chuckles )
Amora: It's so... beautiful. ( Turns to Eda ) Do you live here all alone?
The house then suddenly began to shake and thudding footsteps were heard.
Eda: Actually, I have a roommate.
Amora then became fearful as she began to hear a deep voice and saw a scary shadow.
???: Who dares intrude upon I, ...
Amora's eyes then widened when the being the shadow belonged to came into the room and into view.

King: ...the king of demons? ( Squeaks his rubber ducky )
Amora gasps in awe before ran ran forward and scooped King up in a hug.
Amora: Eda, who's this little ball of fluff? He's so cute! ( To King: ) Who's a little guy? Who's a little guy? Is it you? Is it you?
King struggled to free himself from Amora's grasps as she hugged him with a smile.
King: No! I don't know who your little guy is! Eda, who is this monster?
Eda then gently pulled Amora away from King, and Amora whined in response.
Eda: ( to King: ) This is Amora the human. ( Gently placed Amora down ) She's here to help us with our little... situation in exchange for us to let her live here with us.
King: Oh! Hooray!
Amora: Um, what kind of " situation " do you mean exactly...? Oh, but it's okay if you don't want to tell me if it's too much of a bother...
Eda and King looked at Amora with odd looks at her behavior, but they both paid it no mind.
Eda: Let me explain...
Eda then drew a magic circle in front of her, it darkens and effectively turns into a storybook.
Eda: ( narrating: ) King was once a mighty king of demons, until his Crown of Power was stolen, and he became...
Eda looks over to gesture to King, and she sees that Amora was now hugging the small demon again with a smile.
Eda: this.
Amora: An adorable little ball of fluff?
Eda: ( narrating: ) The crown is being held by the evil Warden Wrath and locked away behind a magical force field that only a human can break through.
The storybook circle fades away, and we once again see Amora cutely hugging King with an adorable smile on her face.
Eda: A human like you. If you help us retrieve his crown, you can stay with us as long as you want. So whaddya say? Plus...
Eda then picked King up by his face and shakes him gently.
Eda: ...who could say no to this cute face?
King: No! Please don't encourage her!
Eda then drops King, causing him to make a cute " Nyeh! "
Eda: I mean, we're kinda the only people that would let a person running from the law stay with us.
Amora: S-So I don't really have a choice?
Eda: Nope.
Amora then made a cute startled squeak when Eda suddenly picked her up and tossed her over her shoulder as the witch headed for the door.
Eda: Now, we've got no time to lose.
King then picked up his rubber ducky and talked to it as he followed after Eda.
King: Soon, Mr Ducky, we shall drink the fear of those who mocked us.
Amora: ( scared and confused: ) Where exactly are we going?
Eda: Somewhere super fun.
( Cut to the " Super fun " place )
Amora had a face of complete horror as she looked at the building in front of her while King and Eda were looking at it calmly.

Eda: ( to Amora, calmly and unaware of the expression on the human girl's face: ) The Conformatorium, a place for those considered unsuitable for society.
Eda and King waited for Amora's response, but they only heard a small thud behind them and they turned to see that Amora had fainted and was now laying on the floor unconscious.
King: I think you killed the human.
Eda: Nah, she just fainted. We'll wait a few minutes before waking her up. I sorta expected this, she seems to be fragile.
