3rd POV
In an office, people stood to discuss something. One man with light blue hair and eyes, one man with grey hair and emerald eyes, a woman with brown hair and green eyes, and a male with burgundy hair and brown eyes.
"No doubt, that's absolutely Ava," the woman said, swiping to a different picture. The picture was the one of Asch and Y/n giving each other the death stare. The woman looked to the burgundy-haired male before saying, "And this is definitely Y/n."
"I thought you said your daughters didn't have any social media," the light-blue-haired male questioned.
"She didn't," The grey-haired male answered, the burgundy-haired male humming in agreement.
"I don't think Y/n and Ava having a social media presence will be a problem to the campaign but," the woman explained, " I brought this to your attention because I got concerned about something my daughter saw..."
"Are the girls alright?" The grey-haired male asked.
"My daughter mentioned she found Ava's account because she saw a picture of a hot guy wearing horns. She clicked it and it brought her to the account. I originally passed this off as a Photoshop or something, but that background..." the woman explained.
"It's Ava's apartment." The grey-haired male noted.
"Maybe Ava and Y/n had friends over and they photoshopped the picture and made her an account?" The light-blue-haired male pondered.
"That is a possibility! After all, Y/n is pretty good at anything with technology," The burgundy-haired male confirmed.
"No, this caption is definitely Ava. I can tell she's been spending too much time on the internet." The grey-haired male denied.
"I just thought I should bring this to your attention. Now let's talk about what we need to do next for-." But the woman was interrupted.
"I'm taking the remainder of the day off." The grey-haired man said, shocking his peers. "Yeah, I need a break and I need to catch up with Leon, here," he said, gesturing to the burgundy-haired male, "Besides, we've got most of the work squared away for the day. In fact, let's all take off and get a fresh start tomorrow."
"Thank you, sir," the light-blue-haired male thanked.
"But what about your campaign?" The woman asked.
"One half-day isn't going to kill us. Now please, allow us to have a moment," Leon said.
"Yes sir," The woman and the light-blue-haired male said before taking off back to their homes.
"So, what do you think is going on?" The grey-haired male asked Leon.
"To be honest, I have not the slightest clue. I am worried though; it's not like Y/n to start an Instagram account." Leon explained.
"I think we should investigate." The grey-haired male said.
"Great idea, Andrew! I'll call Cleo," Leon said, taking his phone out of his pocket, dialing a number, and walking into the next room.
Andrew sighed before dialing a number on his phone and calling someone. "Hey sweetie. I think we need to pay Ava and Y/n a visit."
In Ava's apartment...
Y/n and Ava stood before the Daemos and an old-fashion camera. "This is a relic," Ava commented, inspecting the object further.
The Daemos turned to face the females. Rhys repeated, "A relic?"
"Is it powerful?" Asch asked.
"Can it kill someone?" Leif asked eagerly.
"It's gonna kill me with how complicated this thing is gonna be to fix," Ava retorted, rubbing her temples while Y/n looked through her toolbox.
"You can fix a relic?!" Rhys asked shocked.
"No. I-!" Ava started but was interrupted.
"No, she can't! Reason 1. She didn't study this in college. Reason 2. Mrs. Oats brought this over and asked Ava to fix it for her. She's gonna pay Ava a lot to fix it. Ava obviously panicked because she didn't know how so that's why I am here! I know how to fix these kinds of stuff because I learnt how to. And because Ava is like a sister to me, I am doing it. Also, she's probably gonna use it to take pictures of you guys which I'm sure Ava and I could charge her for or something since you guys do live here and stuff." Y/n both explained and rambled.
"Why does she want that?" Leif asked.
"Because of her stupid fantasy! She thinks you guys are our boyfriends and at this point I'm tired of fighting it. She's old you know and close to death." Ava poorly explained.
"Ava, don't say that!" Y/n scolded.
"Oh, sorry. Plus, we really like her so if anyone were to ask just tell them your our boyfriends or whatever. It also makes Mrs. Oats me for stuff so I can earn money and I don't always have to rely on Y/n." Ava said.
"It's funny. Elder humans here don't seem to be as terrifying as Lady Grandma." Leif commented.
"Wait, Lady Grandma?" Ava and Y/n asked.
"Yes, she's the former queen of Daemos and one of the most powerful." Rhys explained.
"Is she y'all's grandma?" Ava asked.
"Wha- no! She's Lady Grandma!" Noi said.
"What wait! Are you guys brothers?" Ava stupidly asked.
"Lady Grandma is my grandmother," Asch clarified.
"But her name is Lady Grandma?" Y/n asked, her heart and mind telling her that the name was familiar in some way.
"Yes, a very powerful-," Rhys started to explain.
"That doesn't make sense to me! I-," Ava stuttered.
"Just finish fixing this relic. I want to see how it works," Asch demanded.
"Alright, alright, firecracker! Cool it." Y/n retorted, earning giggles from Ava.
"Remember, the camera for the Instagram thing we did?" Ava asked.
"No," Pierce said.
"Well, it works the same way. This is just an older camera and- oh god," Ava said, her hand now dusted with dirty. "I didn't realise how old this camera is. How long has Mrs. Oats been alive?"
"Really, Ava? That's what comes to mind?" Y/n asked. Ava chuckled.
"May I take a look?" Rhys asked. Ava turned to Y/n for an answer. It became apparent to Ava that the Daemos seemed to listen to Y/n more. Well, most of the Daemos. Asch not so much.
"Yeah, go for it! It ain't gonna hurt you," Y/n said.
"Oh, fudge! Oil!" Ava groaned, walking into her room to change. Rhys continued to inspect the old camera under Y/n's careful watch.
"Well?" Noi asked eagerly.
"It's fascinating! There are so many runes inside of it," Rhys said, Ava coming out of her room in new clothes.
"Those aren't runes. They're called gears and bolts," Y/n corrected, fiddling with a wrench.
"What are those?" Rhys asked.
Just as Y/n was about to answer, Ava gave a cheap answer. "They hold stuff together and make things work is the best way I can describe them. Now stand back, we're going to attempt to fix this!" Ava said determinedly, strutting her way to the camera.
"Can I help?" Rhys inquired.
"Help?" Ava asked, her face blushing a pink tint. "You know what, yeah. You can help us." Y/n grabbed Ava's arm and pulled her close.
"So... Interested in Rhys, huh?" Y/n whispered to Ava.
"Y/n!" Ava squealed.
"I'm kidding, I'm kidding!" Y/n said laughing.
"Excuse me, where do we start?" Rhys asked.
"First, we-" Y/n started but was interrupted by Ava.
"Look up stuff on the internet!" Ava announced, making Y/n facepalm.
"Okay, fine. Let's do this, Ava. You and Rhys try to fix this first. If it doesn't work or breaks immediately, I'm doing this myself, deal?" Y/n challenged, putting her hand out.
"Heh, I'm always up for some friendly competition," Ava agreed, shaking hands with Y/n. The Daemos became interested in this challenge. Ava and Rhys got straight to work while Y/n made strawberry mochi.
After a While... (1 and 1/2 hours)
Ava and Rhys just finished fixing the camera. Y/n had finished the mochi.
"Phew, done!" Ava announced, "Haha! We did it and we won the challenge!"
"Oh, can I see?" Noi asked extremely eagerly. Noi poked the camera and it immediately fell to the ground broken. Y/n giggled at Noi's expression.
Y/n took a mochi piece and walked over to Noi. She pat his head and fed the mochi to him. Sparkles grew in his eyes as he forgot about the camera. "Let me try, Ava," Y/n insisted. Ava was irritated with the camera by now so she just agreed. She, Noi, and Rhys walked to join the other Daemos. Y/n cracked her knuckles, shocking her peers. She immediately got to work without the internet.
"Don't you need to use the 'internet'?" Rhys asked.
"No. I went to college for technology and magic when I was younger so my knowledge on these kinds of things is wider than Ava's." Y/n said, grabbing a screwdriver from her toolbox.
One thing that was going through the Daemos' mind when she said that was:
"She's so wise and knowledgeable! No wonder she's a powerful sorceress. "
Meanwhile...
Andrew, Cleo, Leon, and Devon were speeding down the street, rushing to get to their daughter's apartments. They stopped at a crossing that was in front of a cafe. "Maybe we should have called before we showed up," Andrew contemplated.
"Yeah, maybe... Afterall, Y/n is fully capable of defence." Leon agreed.
Devon & Andrew's Conversation
"Darling, you know our baby! She secretly loves surprises!" Devon argued.
"She faints when she's surprised. Besides, it sounds like your excuse to catch her off guard to see if she has this supposed boyfriend that you say you saw on her Instagram," Andrew theorized.
Cleo & Leon's Conversation
"But Leon, you know Y/n! She tells us almost everything, so why didn't she tell us about this?!" Cleo panicked, running a hand through her dark-ash hair, her amber eyes brimming with tears.
"Y/n has reasons for what she does and we don't always have to know," Leon reassured, caressing (not Daemos kiss 'caress'ing!) Cleo's cheek, Cleo melting into his touch.
"But that's our job as parents, right? To know what is happening in our child's life? Even if you're the child's step-mom?" Cleo asked, looking dead into Leon's eyes.
"Yes but Y/n is 20! She's a grown woman and we should let her live her life!" Leon explained. "I love her as much as you do, but we both have to understand that she isn't a baby anymore. " Cleo nodded her head and the couple returned their attention to their comrades, Andrew and Devon.
"Look, these are our babies that we're talking about! I texted Ava the other day and she denied that they even had any so that leads me to believe they're probably up there being held against their will to make an account in order to sell weed or something!" Devon rambled, making Cleo go full panic mode. (In case you're confused on why they are calling Y/n their baby as well, it's because of their friendship with Cleo & Leon. They are such close friends that they consider each other as family! So Y/n is like another daughter to Devon & Andrew. Now that that's cleared up, let's continue.)
"Weed?!" Cleo shrieked.
"You're just mad she didn't follow you back!" Andrew chuckled.
"That's beside the point. Look, I've seen it before! First, they deny their doing anything bad then the next thing you know they're using their rent money to buy a trailer and go out int the middle of the desert to-" Devon began to rambled, worrying Cleo further.
"You just described 'Breaking Bad'..." Andrew said.
"It could happen!" Devon and Cleo said.
"Do I have to cancel the Netflix subscription again? Because every time you get invested in a show, you get paranoid - it's secretly happening under your nose. Then I get paranoid that you might be right." Andrew explained.
"Because I usually am! Just think about it, Jake told us Ava hadn't paid her rent this month and Y/n didn't pay for it like she normally did so we paid it for her like we usually did plus Ava hasn't had a job in a while so maybe-" Devon rambled again.
"I think you're both overthinking this too much," Leon said, parting from his wife and standing next to Andrew.
"Let's just go talk to them and-" Andrew began but was interrupted.
"No! Wait... What if Ava and Y/n-" Devon gasped, "Are making videos!" Devo strained out.
"What- YouTube videos?" Andrew asked obliviously, "Oh please, our babies would sink that low to-!"
"No, I mean, when I found the account, I saw a lot of guys on the account, and they deleted the pictures and-" Devon started to explain. All of their faces shifted to panicked ones.
"AVA, Y/N! WE'RE COMING, PUMPKIN, GUMDROP!!!" The grown-ups yelled, running at full speed to the apartment. When I say full speed, I mean that the speed they ran at could have made the buildings go...
SKKRRTT!
with the wind!
In Ava's apartment, 15 minutes later...
Y/n stood up and wiped her forehead, "Done!"
"How did you do that so quickly?!" Ava remarked, grabbing and shaking Y/n by her shoulders.
"I'm a genius, that's how," Y/n said after getting a firm grip on Ava, stopping the shaking sensation.
"Cool!" Noi shouted as he was reaching to touch it. Y/n reached forward and grabbed Noi's wrist before he could touch the camera.
"Noi, I understand that you are interested in the magic this camera holds but, given previous circumstances, Ava and I would appreciate you not touching the camera," Y/n said politely, letting go of Noi's wrist.
Noi, Pierce, Leif, and Rhys froze as a memory of someone came back...
Flashback to Daemos, many, many years ago...
Noi, Leif, and Pierce were gathered in their normal gathering area. It was a mini-castle of sorts. The walls were of heavenbrick and cemented together with silver cement; the arches were made of quartz and garnished by emerald-green vines that were embellished by Kadupul flowers and Chocolate Cosmos, and the pillars were adorned by Jade vines. On the entrance arch, there was a shield. On the shield were 5 symbols. A light-blue one with a large sword. An orange one with a heart. A green one with two scythes. A purple-like blue one with a book. A/an (f/c) one with (s/o/c). The symbols were in a star-like formation with the (f/c) symbol at the top. The shield was also embroidered with the words,
'Ua Netoa Delocroya Temae!'
which means 'The United Mystic Friends!'
Pierce was training with Noi and Leif was sharpening his weapons. Their expressions were dull and pessimistic. That was until...
"Hey guys!"
Their faces lit up as they turned to the source of the greeting. They saw a young daemos girl. She had (h/l) (h/c) hair, (e/c) eyes, and (f/c) horns.
(Hairstyle is above)
(The dress is here! But before everyone whines about the dress, you are royalty and in this flashback, you are 7. In your kingdom, any royal (below 8 years old) is needed to wear dresses. Cleared up? No whining? Okay good!)
Noi's face developed a slightly pink color, Leif smirks like always, and Pierce smiles.
"Hey Princess," Leif said, jumping from his spot, appearing in front of the girl, gently grasping the girl's hand, and caressed (Daemos Caress = Kiss) it softly. Pierce and Noi grew jealous but hid it very well as they made their way to the girl. The girl moved her hand in a swift motion so that her index finger boop-ed Leif's nose as he was pushed away slightly.
"Good Afternoon to you too, Leif," The girl giggled, retracting her hand and redirecting her attention, "Good Afternoon to you both as well, Pierce, Noi."
"Good Afternoon," The other boys said.
"Where's Rhys?" The girl asked.
"I don't know, Jewel! He's usually punctual..." Noi remarked funnily, making the girl chuckle.
"Yes." Pierce said.
"I'm here!" A voice said. The Daemos turned to the source and running towards them was Rhys with something in his satchel. Once he reached the group, he said, "My apologies. I had to get something before I left the house."
"Apologies accepted, Rhys. However, I am curious. What is it that you had to get?" The girl asked.
"I'm glad you asked, Sunshine!" Rhys beamed, the other boys jealous of the nickname he had given the girl. He reached into his satchel and pulled out a book, handing it to the girl. The girl gasped in excitement.
"Is this?" She asked, looking at Rhys questioningly. When he nodded his head, the girl jumped for joy. The other Daemos were confused.
"Uhh... Jewel? What is it?" Noi asked eagerly.
"It's a book about magic enhancement! 'Sintaca Recraniona' Volume 32 to be exact! I've read volumes one to thirty-one but could never find the thirty-second volume!" The girl geeked. She turned to Rhys and gave him a huge hug. The other Daemos were jealous but Noi was interested in the book.
"Oh! Can I see?" Noi asked.
"Noi, I know how you are with these kinds of things, and the one Sunshine has is the original copy which is extremely valuable. Therefore," Rhys explained, reaching into his satchel and pulling out another book, identical to the one the girl had. Noi was ecstatic when Rhys handed him the book. "I used my magic and duplicate the scripture so you could read it."
"Aww, Rhys! That's so kind of you," The girl remarked, caressing Rhys on the cheek. Rhys' face bloomed pink as he froze and the other Daemos' faces showed jealousy; the girl seemed to notice.
The girl walked to Leif, catching him off guard. She caressed his cheek, pulled away, and smiled. Leif's face turned red. He looked away and hid his face in his hand.
The girl then walked to Noi. She gently grasped his cheeks, making Noi look at her. She pulled him closer and caressed his nose. She let go of his cheeks and smiled. Noi's face erupted an extremely bright crimson as he said, "J-jewel... Y-y-you c-caressed m-me." Noi fell back onto the grass, fainting from the intense emotion.
The girl walked to Pierce. After Noi fainted, Pierce had been snapped into reality and drew his attention to the approaching girl. "Angel? What are you doing?" Pierce asked. The girl walked to Pierce and gave him a gentle smile.
"Pierce, can you come down here? You're too tall," The girl requested. Pierce knelt to her level. The girl caressed Pierce's jawline twice before parting from Pierce, looking at the tall Daemos' reaction. Pierce's eyes were wide in shock and his cheeks were pink with embarrassment.
The girl looked at her friends and giggled at their reactions. She ran to the front of their friendship estate, her friends' eyes following her every move. Her arm was swung around the pillar of the arch entrance as her body was slanted. She smiled her mischievous and happy smile.
End of Flashback...
"Guys?" Y/n asked the frozen Daemos as Asch eyed them suspiciously.
"Apologies, Y/n. But we are excited to get our camera taken by this camera." Rhys discreetly covered up.
"It's called a Photo," Ava corrected, "And, you know what? I kinda wanna take a picture too! I mean, I gotta test it before I give it back!"
"Can we all do a camera together?" Noi asked, sparkles twinkling in his eyes.
"Only one person can fit into the camera and it's going to be me!" Asch declared.
"No! My camera got the most likes last time!" Leif argued.
"Calm down," Y/n said, gaining the Daemos' attention, "We can take a photo all together!"
"Just don't touch the camera! We don't want it to break like last time," Ava warned. Y/n made her way to the couch and sat down.
"Should we take it on the couch?" Y/n asked Ava.
"Great idea! Let's all pick up the couch on this side real quick and-" Ava started to instruct.
Just as Y/n was about to get up and help, Noi picked up the couch with her on it! He acted like it was nothing! "Where to?" He asked innocently.
"H-how did you-?" Ava asked.
"Wow! You're strong!" Y/n complimented Noi, looking down from the side of the couch.
"Please, any of us can do that," Asch clarified in a bored tone.
"Can you move it over there, Noi?" Ava requested, pointing to a spot in front of the computer. Noi moved the couch with ease, Y/n softly hitting the couch's cushion with an 'Oof!'
"I'm gonna go change my clothes, brb!" Y/n said, rushing to her apartment.
Ava sat down on the couch and got comfortable. Y/n, soon enough, came running in a new outfit.
"You look great, (N/n)!" Ava fangirled, earning chuckles from her best friend. Y/n made her way to the couch and sat comfortably. (What's your favorite way of sitting? I sit with my legs apart from each other like a gangster most of the time.)
The Daemos lined up behind the couch and stood there. Y/n turned to them and gave them a questioning look before asking, "You guys can sit with us, you know? It's more civilized."
"No way, that bed is too soft!" Leif complained.
"I was the one who had to sleep on it!" Asch clarified.
"The floor was better to sleep on," Noi contradicted.
"Sitting was better though," Rhys said.
"I prefer to stand," Pierce said.
"Okay," Y/n said, turning to face the camera, "You guys fon't like the couch. We get it! Just look pretty and smile!"
The faint thundering of footsteps could be heard from outside the apartment but Ava, Y/n, and the Daemos chose to ignore it. Then the door burst open!
"Cheese!" Ava said, making everyone smile. Then they saw them.
"Uncle Devon?! Uncle Andrew?! MUM?! DAD?!" Y/n screamed as worry etched into her face.
