After school let out, I walked out, not sure what I wanted to do. I got all my missing work caught up, but didn't feel like going home either. I ended up taking a walk with no set destination, letting my feet lead me somewhere. As I'm walking, I find myself walking in the direction of the park when someone bumps into me. "Sorry!" A feminie voice exclaims, as I stand back up.

"It's alright," I smile, looking at the girl to find that it's Keiko, "hey, is everything alright? You look flushed."

"Yeah, everythings fine, I just have a lot on my mind."

"Well, I think I'm on my way to the park, do you want to talk about it?"

"Can you keep a secret?"

I nod, "of course I can."

"Then sure, I'd love to talk about it, let's go to the park first though!" I nod and we continue our walk to the park. While we're walking, I glance over at Keiko, frowning, she seems very distant, I really hope it's nothing too bad. Once we got to the park, Keiko and I headed over to the empty bench and sat down, watching the scenery for a bit, it was beautiful.

"So, what's going on?" I ask, turning to her, "is everything ok?"

"It's nothing too bad, but Yuske and I were walking home, I was scolding Yusuke for not paying attention in class, he let it slip that he'd rather stare at me, ultimately admitting that he does stare at me in class, he got embarrassed and immediately ran off, claiming he had to talk to Kurama."

"I don't see what the problem is, you just found out he thinks you're pretty!" I exclaim, turning towards her, "isn't that what you want?"

"Well yes, but he ran off as soon as he said it, plus I don't want to distract him from his education, it's important for him to get into a good highschool!"

I try to hide a chuckle, "that's why you're upset?"

"Yes! He needs to take school seriously! Plus, I don't want him to be embarrassed that he likes me since I like him too!"

"He's probably embarrassed that he let it slip out, so don't worry about that."

"Yeah, maybe you're right, I just worry that if we're in the same class, he won't learn anything and won't get into a good highschool and I don't want that for him!"

"Don't worry, he's smart, he just doesn't show it!" I tell her, trying to give encouragement.

She nods, "yeah, you're right, thanks Y/N, I needed that!"

"Anytime, now go get Yusuke!"

"Do you think he actually went to Kurama's house?"

"Not sure, we can go find out though," I say, standing up. She nods, standing up as well following me. While we walked, we made small talk, not really sure what else to talk about until she started teasing me about Hiei, although I'm not really sure why, there's nothing going on between us.

"So, what's up with you and Hiei?" She asks, smirking.

"What do you mean?" I ask, confused.

"You and Hiei keep flirting with each other!" She exclaims, grinning.

"What? No we don't!" I say, a little too loud, causing people to turn and look at us. "Oops," I chuckle awkwardly as I look down, feeling my face go bright red.

She grins and shakes her head, "Deny it all you want but you know it's true whether you like it or not." I blush and continue walking with her, not saying anything else, knowing I can tease her about Yusuke later. It takes us about ten minutes but we finally reach Kurama's house which causes Keiko to stop in her tracks.

"Keiko? You ready?" I ask, glancing over at her, confusion filling my eyes.

"Yeah, just kind of nervous on how Yusuke is going to react to seeing me."

"Knowing him, he forgot about being embarrassed earlier."

Keiko nods, "I really hope so." I smile, and grab her hand, pulling her towards the door, knocking on it.
