Kurama
Y/N came over with tears falling down her face, "what's wrong?" I ask, frowning.
"Hiei...he's going back to the demon world, I'm not sure for how long. It was stupid of me to fall for him, I should have known he wouldn't stay..." She replies as she flops down on my couch.
I sigh internally and sit down beside her, "I don't know why he's going back to the demon world but I doubt he's going to stay there for good, he cares for you, I know he does."
"We just got to a good place and now he's leaving..." she mutters.
I was about to say something to help her calm down when I sensed Hiei's presence, "I'll be right back." I get up and head over to the door, opening it. Hiei was there waiting, a bag in his hand, "what's going on?" He proceeds to tell me that he's leaving and going back to the demon world. He also told me how much he cares about Y/N which isn't a good idea since she's here, can he not sense her? I should probably stop him before she hears something she doesn't want to hear but then again, maybe he needs to say it?
I tried explaining to him that leaving Y/N is a bad idea but he didn't want to listen, he still thinks that everything will be fine. After a little more explaining, he starts talking about how he doesn't know how to handle these feelings then stops suddenly and just leaves, running off with his bag. I know why he left like that, Y/N was walking over, "was that Hiei? I felt his presence."
"You can feel his presence? That's new, your powers could be growing."
"I don't care, was Hiei here?"
I sigh and look at her, "yes, he was, but he left already."
"I figured, his presence isn't here anymore," she says, walking back over to the couch.
"Are you ok?" I ask, sitting down beside her.
"I'm fine," she mutters, turning on the TV, "I don't feel like talking."
"Y/N please."
"I said no!" She growls, her eyes flashing purple then going back to normal. I'm not really in the mood to fight my best friend so I drop it, turning to the TV. A little while later, Y/N gets up, "I'm going home, I'll see you later." She says, walking out of the house.
"This is ridiculous," I mutter, heading to the kitchen, "why does Hiei always think he's right?" I grab a drink from the fridge and sigh, sitting down at the counter. What was I thinking, setting those two up? I thought Y/N could help Hiei and I thought he would help her loosen up a little, she cares so much about school, she doesn't have any time for herself or friends. They do seem like they really like each other though, so why are they both making it harder on themselves?
Lighting crackled in the sky, "is it going to storm tonight?" I mutter, looking out the window. I sigh and head to my room. If it's going to storm and Y/N doesn't want to be around anyone, I'll just go to bed, deal with everything tomorrow.
I woke up the next morning and glanced out the window. The storm was still going on and it was pouring down rain. There was a loud boom outside so I quickly rushed outside and towards Y/N, I had to check on her, make sure she wasn't hurt. "Y/N," I knocked on the door, "you ok?" I got no answer as I stood there in the pouring rain. I knocked again and waited but once again I got no answer. I sighed and used the key she gave me in case of emergencies and walked in, "Y/N? Are you good? I heard a loud noise but it wasn't thunder."
I didn't get an answer as I walked through her house, "Y/N!" I call again, frowning. Even if she was mad or asleep, she would have answered me or woken up. I slightly opened the door to her bedroom but what I saw enraged me. Her window was broken, stuff was everywhere and blood was on the floor. Someone had broken into Y/N's house and I didn't even realize! Where could she be? I really hope she's ok. I pull out my phone and Yusuke and Kuwarbara, thenI head back to my place to get a few things before going to find Hiei.
