I pull out my book while the others talk, sleepovers aren't really my thing. As I'm reading, I hear Hiei jump out the window, typical, I didn't expect him to stay very long, it took a lot just to get him to stay for a few minutes. Y/N's what got him to stay in the first place, I guess his feelings for her just aren't strong enough yet. He might deny his feelings for her but I can see through his mask, if you know where to look, then it's obvious.

What I didn't expect is for Y/N to follow him. Even though she followed us the first time, I figured she would have learned her lesson the first time. I don't know if they planned to leave or if Hiei left and Y/N just decided to follow like a spur of the moment kind of thing. I shrugged and went back to my book, deciding to let them go by themselves, Hiei can protect her.

The others seem to be having fun which is good since we don't normally have time to relax. I went back to my book, but a few minutes later, Botan quiets everyone. "We have a mission, Yuske, Kuwbara, Kurama, meet me in the woods by the old oak tree, I'm going to find Hiei and Y/N, I'll give you the details for the mission there," she says, hopping on her broom, flying out the window.

Yusuke groans and stands up, "we just now got peace! Keiko, stay here."

Keiko nods, "be careful Yuske!"

"I will."

I shouldn't have said anything. I stand up and head out the window, Kuwbara and Yusuke following suit. As we make our way to the woods, I get my guard up, ready to attack if needed. As we're walking, my mind wanders to Y/N. As long as she's with Hiei, she'll be fine, he won't let anything happen to her. We got to the woods and made our way to the spot that Botan wants us to meet her at. "How hard do you think it's going to be this time?" Kuwabara asks, sitting down under a tree.

"I don't know, I just hope Botan takes Y/N to your house with Keiko, until she learns to control her powers and fight, it's dangerous for her to be around these demons."

Yusuke nods, "I'm sure she will, but if she doesn't, we can protect her."

"Yeah, I know, it'd just be easier and faster with her at your house." About thirty minutes later, Botan flys over, although she doesn't have Hiei or Y/N, "where are the other two?"

"I don't know, I couldn't find them, it's up to y'all." She says, landing, "anyways, there's a C class demon roaming around these woods, I'm surprised you haven't run into them yet. They shouldn't be too hard for the three of you to handle. When you're done, meet back at Yusuke's house. I'm going to continue searching for the other two and check on Keiko." She says, hopping back on her broom and flying off.

"I hope Y/N and Hiei are ok," Kuwabara mutters, a worried look on his face.

"I'm sure they're fine, Y/N is with Hiei, he won't let anything happen to her," I remind him, trying to stay optimistic myself.

Kuwabara nods, "well then, let's get this over with!" He exclaims, running off in a random direction. Yusuke sighs and I groan as we both run after him, he really shouldn't be so reckless, these monsters could be anywhere. We were trying to find him when we heard a girly scream that sounded like his. Yusuke and I nodded at each other as we headed in the direction the scream came from.

When we found him, he was attempting to fight the demon, but wasn't faring very well. He hadn't honed his skills very well yet. The demon had light blue skin with dark blue horns, and an evil smirk as he started to suck the soul out of Kuwabara.

I got my rose whip out and aimed at the demon to break his concentration, knowing Kuwabara wouldn't survive this. Yusuke looks at me and nods at me, asking me to watch his back. I nod in understanding as he jumps onto a tree. I'm not sure what he's doing, but I know I can trust him. Once Kuwabara safely gets away from the demon, I pull my rose whip back and let Yusuke handle the rest. He gets on a high tree branch and aims his spirit gun at the center of the demon's head, and shoots it, causing the demon to stumble backwards and fall down, disintegrating itself. I'm glad they clean up after themselves, cleaning up after them would be a hassle.

Kuwabra was unconscious on the ground which is to be suspected after almost getting the soul sucked out of him. I picked him up and threw him over my shoulder, turning to Yusuke, "ready?" Yusuke nods and we head back to his place. While we were walking, my mind couldn't stop thinking of Y/N, I hoped she's ok. I looked over to Yusuke who looked like he had a worried look on his face, he was probably worrying about Keiko, he cares a lot for her. I sighed and looked back in front of where I'm walking, wanting to get back to Yusuke's house as soon as possible.

Ten minutes later, we made it back to Yusuke's house. He ran inside and towards his room. I simply walked in and up the stairs, especially since I was carrying Kuwabara. Once I finally got to his room, I looked in his room and was surprised to see Y/N looking out the window. Hiei was sleeping in the corner, and Keiko was scolding Yusuke and making sure he was ok. I smiled brightly as I walked in, gently laying Kuwabara down on the cot he was going to be sleeping on tonight and looked at Yusuke, "I think he'll be ok, the demon didn't take much, it should regenerate itself soon."

"Ok," he nods, turning back to Keiko.

I nod and walk over to Y/N, sitting down beside her, "are you ok?"

"Hm?" She asks, turning around, "Shuichi!" She jumps on me, engulfing me in a hug, "I'm so glad you're ok!"

"Of course I'm ok, one demon can't take me down. Now, stop avoiding the question, are you ok?"

"Yeah, I'm fine! Why do you ask?"

"When Botan couldn't find you, I was worried," I explained.

"Oh, I was just on my way back after going after-er taking a midnight walk."

"Wait, after what?"

"Nothing, don't worry about it!"

"Ok..." I trail off, I'll figure it out eventually. "Anyways, we should all get some sleep." The others nod and lay down in their respective areas, falling asleep instantly.
