Preparing for War

❄️ Elsa in her Armor ❄️

"Saraphine? ...Pitch?"

Remember one of those times when you feel like you had just been caught by your parents. For something you shouldn't be doing. This is one of those times.

Pitch and Saraphine's eyes jumped between me and Jack as he stood behind me. Looking upon Pitch with fright and... a little recognition? I began to defend my case before they forbid me from seeing Jack Frost ever again.

"It's not what it looks like...I love him and-"

"It's alright Elsa. That's not why we're here."  Saraphine said in a soft voice. Walking towards me as her wings folded at her sides.

"We actually encourage you two to be together." Said Pitch as he butted in. Putting a hand on Saraphine's shoulder as he looked at me. I looked in between the two of them, confused and not sure what I should feel. Should I be happy that they approve of this...or should I be scared for why they are here.

"Then...why are you here?" I asked. Feeling Jack come up behind me. Pitch's hand falling from Saraphine's shoulder as she looked down and sighed. Her arms crossed against her chest.

"The world as we know it...might change forever." My heart dropped. My lips parting as I began to have this sick feeling inside of me. "A war is coming, a war between good and evil. I...I need to know where you two stand. To fight with me...or against me. The choice is your's, I would not hate you for whatever you choose. But I must know now...do you fight or do you stay neutral?"

She looked upon us with the sternness of general...but with the love of a doting mother. She cared about us and she wouldn't be asking us this question if she didn't. Saraphine...has been there for me, through hell and through the good times. Through the tears, the smiles, and everything in between. She's like a big sister to me and I would do anything for her. She knows that we're not warriors, that we're not fighters...at least not yet. But she knows that we're powerful and that we would do anything in our power to win. I grabbed her hand and I held it tight, letting her know that I would always be there for her. That I am always here for her.

"I will fight with you and I will make sure my world will remain safe. That it stays good and green."

"I will fight with you too." Jack said as he put his staff on his shoulder. Shoving his other hand in his Hoodie pocket. "I want to keep this world safe, I want to make sure that Jaime, Elsa, you, I, and even Pitch can live in this world without harm. This world deserves to be saved and safe it we will."

Saraphine smiled as a small tear escaped her eyes. Feeling generally touched by our words. She wiped away her tear before she placed both of her hands on each one of our shoulders. Definitely mother material. Hehe.

"I'm so proud of you two. You have no idea how better you made my life. You have no idea how much I love you two...as if you were my own siblings, my family." She put her hands on each of our cheeks. Admiring us, loving us, caring for us. She had every inch of the word proud written in her eyes. "Come, we must hurry. There is much to discuss and much to fill you in on."

We nodded and we made our way to meet the creator. Our creator.

❄️

Once we got there, we had met with Haya in the ancient garden. She had told us of her sister and how she had corrupted Tooth's mind. Tooth had poisoned the Guardians with a spell, making them forget who I was and...what their real purpose was. They were nothing but brainless soldiers, listening to Tooth's every beck and call. She told us...in order to win the war we have to extract Yami's darkness within Tooth. That way Yami has no way to interact with the outside world. Haya said that her sister was weak and needed Tooth's rage and power in order to use her shadow. Take away her hold on Tooth and everything falls. But before we can even try something like that...we need to train. There's a possibility we might take out Tooth's soul...letting Yami's spirit take over Tooth's body completely. And that's something that cannot happen.

"Once my sister's darkness is extracted from Tooth, Elsa and Jack extract it while Saraphine and Pitch contain it and eventually get rid of it completely. This is the game plan and this is how we will prepare. This is how we will win. The Counsel will also be helping us, but you are our four star fighters. We have a army and so do they. The odds are even. So we can't take any risk, nothing must go wrong." Haya said as she stood before us. Holding her hands in front of her, looking upon us with threatening, hard eyes. "Now...anymore questions?"

"No, ma'am!" We all said in unison. Our hands behind our backs.

"Good, Pitch and Saraphine...take a break while I speak with Elsa and Jack." Pitch and Saraphine nodded before they turned away and started their own conversation. Haya turning to me and Jack. "Follow me." She said as she led us behind the giant tree, putting distance between us and the others. She looked at the two of us with worried glances. Her hands fidgeting in front of her. The gears in her mind moving and grinding as she contemplated.

"Haya?" I said, snapping her out of her grinding gears. Her eyes filled with concern. "Haya...what's wrong?"

She hesitated before she spoke, trying to think of how to put this. "You two do know...that you don't have your full memories right? There's things to don't remember and things you should know before going into war."

"What...things?" Jack asked, a bit scared of her answer.

"About your past, about yourselves. About other's who secrets you didn't know yet and...I can show these things to you. But...I can't show you how you two know each other. How you two fell in love the first time."

Me and Jack looked at each other before I began to question Haya. "Why...why can't you show us how we met? How we fell in love?"

She opened her mouth to say something, but said nothing and shut it again. She sighed and after a long moment grabbed both of our hands. Placing Jack's hand on top of mine as she held them. Cupping our hands as if they was baby bird inside. A bright white light formed between her fingers. She looked at us as we were awe-struck.

"Your love is the most purest thing I had ever seen. The strongest and the most unbreakable. Love like this...can't be remembered easily, but unfortunately it can be forgotten. It would take...a lot more than magic to remember. A lot more than you trying to help yourselves remember."

"What would it take?" I asked. she looked down at our hands and let go. The light fading as her hands left ours, our hands remained intertwined as they fell to our sides.

"I..." she began. "I don't know what it would take. It could take sacrifice...an act of true love. I don't know...but I do know that no matter what happens...you two will remember. You two will remember the love you first had and it will pile on to the love you have now. There's no one on earth, no one in the universe that has a stronger love than you two. No one can compare to your light." She paused before she stood in front of me. Here eyes burning a vibrant blue as she began to shine with a great light. "Enough of that...its time for you to remember." And with that last sentence she put her hands on either side of my face and a great power surged through me. Making me look up at the sky as my eyes turned dead white. As images, names, words, faces flashed through my mind.

They were my memories.

"Conceal, don't feel! Don't let them know!"

"Open up the gates!"

"For the first time in forever..."

"Anna."

"My dear, you can't kill darkness."

"We'll protect her, she is a guardian after all and we guardians got to stick together, right Elsa."

"I...Man in the Moon, give you...Elsa Dellen, princess of Arendelle...give you the power of ice and snow. I Now claim you as the 7th guardian, protector of all children."

"And now I have a name...Pitch. Thank you Pitch, Thank you for saving Anna all those years ago. If it weren't for you, Anna would be dead right now."

"Take my memories away."

These words and more flashed through my mind. Feeling whole again as Haya took her hands off of me. I remember everything...everything except Jack. I remember who Pitch was and what he did to me. But I also remember...how kind he is and...why he used to be evil. I looked down at my braided hair that went over my right shoulder. It was blonde...platinum blonde and I knew if I looked into the mirror...my eyes would be a gorgeous blue.

"What is your name?" Haya asked in a somewhat demanding tone.

"My name is Elsa Dellen. I am Queen of Arendelle and I'm the 7th guardian."

Haya smiled and nodded. "Welcome back to your memories Elsa." She said with all the joy she had in her tone. She then turned to Jack and placed both of her hands on his cheeks as well. Doing the same thing she did to me as an interact pattern formed on her arms up all the way to the tips of her fingers. Watching as Jack faced up and his eyes turned bleach white. He had taken only about a few minutes before Haya let go of his face. Jack's eyes turning back to their natural blue. But...his face wasn't calm...it was hurt, confused. Haya put her hands up, trying to calm him down.

"Now Jack before you do anything-" Jack ran off before she could finish. Heading straight for Pitch Black. "Jack!" I began to follow him, but walking far behind. Did she...? She didn't...did she? I watched as Jack walked up to Pitch. (not disguised Pitch. We threw that thing away.)

"Pitch!" Jack said and Pitch turned around. Walking straight into Jack's punch. Pitch fell back on the ground, holding his jaw as me and Saraphine both gasped.

"Jack!?" Saraphine said in a scolding tone. Reaching for Pitch's arm to lift him up. But Jack growled and pushed Saraphine away. Grabbing Pitch by the collar and holding him up. Growling.

"Why didn't you tell me!?" He demanded. His voice sounding like it was going to break. "Why?!" He shook Pitch by his collar. His hands trembling as his voice was shattered. No longer asking, but pleading. "Why didn't you tell me you were my brother?"

Pitch looked down and sighed, standing on his own as Jack's hands clutched onto his brother's shirt. The top of his head against his tall brother's chest. Pitch...wasn't sure what to do. He didn't know if he was allowed to comfort his own kin or not. But...he took a chance...and placed his hand on Jack's head. Jack...did not pull away.

"I didn't tell you..." Pitch cooed, a part of his voice I never heard. "...because I was afraid that you would hate yourself. That you would be scared of yourself. Once you knew that I was your brother...I was afraid that you would think that you would have some kind of darkness inside you. That you would push away everyone you loved. I...I was also afraid...that people would shut you out...all because you were related to me." Pitch's voice was broken as tears ran down his cheeks. His hand moving against Jack's hair a little. Trying to calm down his crying brother, Jack...was weeping for him. For Jack finally knew the truth...we both knew. We knew what the council did to him and what a pure soul he really was. What a hero Pitch could have been, instead...they labeled him and called him Villain. The council made Pitch what they needed him to be, not what he was suppose to be. Haya must of showed Jack Pitch's past as well. For just by looking at him...you could tell Jack felt Pitch's pain, he felt his brother's lost.

"I...I don't expect your kindness, your friendship, your brotherly love. How could you think of me as family? After all the things of done, after all things I've done to you two. I'm sure Elsa hates me and I'm sure you want to kill me and...and I don't blame you. If...if I had the power I would have killed myself already, destroyed my soul from existence. I don't deserve to have a second chance to live."

"No," I whispered to myself. Tears streaming down my face as I felt myself breaking. Please, please stop thinking like this. Stop hating yourself Pitch, please. Once Pitch had said those words, we were all in tears. But...my heart was aching when Jack said "NO!" and wrapped his arms around Pitch tightly. He didn't want to lose his brother...the only family he had left.

Pitch stood there with a hurt face. Not sure whether to hug Jack. "Jack you don't have to do this. You don't have to pretend you want me to be your family. You don't have to-"

"Shut up, Pitch...just, shut up!" Jack said with all the pain in his voice. Pitch genially surprised by Jack's actions.

"Jack..."

"It's true...it's true I know of the things you've did. And I know you're thinking that I want nothing to do with you. But I'm telling you hear and now...that I don't hate you. I know what the council did to you...I know what Tooth made you do. I know everything and I'm telling you...it's not your fault and...I'm proud, thrilled to have you as my brother."

That was it. Those were the words that had broke Pitch completely. The words of his brother...accepting him. Pitch engulfed Jack in a big bear hug, both the brothers sobbing into each other's arms. I smiled, at last...they are finally family. It's strange how just a month ago Jack Frost wanted to kill Pitch Black. And now they're standing before me, hugging and accepting one another. It was a finally bond of the unknown, a bond that will hopefully bloom and grow. But...this ain't a time for "hey, let's relax and get to know each other". No, war is upon us and we have to prepare. I looked down, a bone chilling thought washing over me. It was at that moment I felt Saraphine's eyes on me. She walked up to me and put both of her hands on my shoulders. Looking at me with very concern eyes.

"What's wrong kid? You got your memories back." She said softly.

I looked up at her. Determination burning in my eyes. "There's...there's something I must do."

❄️

Sun to my back and ground below me. The cold chilling air blew pass me, making my braid fly behind me, almost hitting Jack in the face. Jack's arms were wrapped around my waist while my hands held the reigns. I had told Saraphine, Pitch, and Haya that I had some unfinished business. Telling them I will come back once it
is done. There is one thing you have to do before you go to war...make sure all your ties are settled.

"Yah!" I yelled as I snapped the reigns. Making Celest fly faster. Her wings doing one big flap as we passed the gates. The warning bell going off as we landed in the main court yard. The doors to the kingdom flew open as I heard Jack get off Celest. His feet hitting the ground as we were both dressed in matching armor. (Look at the picture for Elsa's armor.) he held up his arms to help me down. His hands on my waist while mine landed on his shoulders. He picked me up then set me down safely.

"Thank you," I said with a smile. His lips then turning to a cute boyish smile.

"It is my pleasure." And that was when I heard her voice calling for me.

"Elsa!?"

I turned and smiled. A girl with ginger like hair and green eyes ran up to me. Wearing her favorite green dress as she wore the biggest smile on her face. Her eyes...shedding tears of joy. I ran to her and I met her half way. Kristoff trailing behind her as Jack trailed behind me. I engulfed my sister into my arms, her sobbing form relaxing as I held her. Her head buried into my shoulder.

"Shhh, I'm here. I'm here." I whispered in her ear, patting and rubbing her back. Trying to calm her down. She pulled away slightly, her crying green eyes looking up at me.

"Where have you been? I-I haven't heard from you for forever. I...I thought you were d-" her voice was broken. Unable to finish her sentence as she sobbed more and more. I wiped away her tears, needing her to calm down before I tell her what I need to say. She sniffled, finally getting her tears under control as she finally got a good look at me. "Look at you. Is that...armor?"

"Yes it is," I replied. Putting my hands on her shoulders. "Anna, you have to listen to me. You have to be strong when I tell you this. Do you understand?"

Her eyes began to bulge out of her head as fear invaded them. Biting her bottom lip as she hesitated to reply. After a long moment she finally said yes and nodded.

"Good." I said and my hands fell off her shoulders to the side of her arms. I inhaled deeply and then exhale before I spoke. "Anna...about three months ago...I asked Pitch Black to take my memories away."

"What?! Why?" She interrupted me and I put my hand up in front of her. Gesturing her to stop.

"Let me finish," I said softly and she kept her mouth shut. "I don't know why, just yet. I don't know drove me to ask him of this, but I did and it must be for good reason. It must have been for my survival. That's why I didn't come and visit you, because I didn't remember you. I didn't even know who I was, all I knew was my first name was Elsa and I had powers beyond human. But right now...that doesn't matter, we have a bigger issue on our hands. Well...my hands."

"Why? What's going on? Elsa, what's happening?"

I sighed and looked down. "A war is happening and its up to every free willing Guardian on earth to stop it. If the enemy wins...a great darkness will fall on the earth. Every human would become a monster, love, light, and everything that is good would no longer exist. It's up to us, up to the Guardians to stop it. To stop her and that's why I'm here. Anna...I need you to do something for me."

"What?" She asked. Her eyes scanning me, seeing what I could possibly want from her. I put my hands on either side of her face, holding it as I made her look straight into my eyes.

"I need you to take the crown."

Her eyes widened and she took a step away from me. Afraid of what I was asking of her. "W-what? You want me to take the crown?!?! No! I-I can't! I'm not ready to be Queen! I was never suppose to be. It was always suppose to be you Elsa! You're suppose to be Queen, not me! You! I'm not ready! I'm afraid!"

I grabbed her shoulders. Trying to stop her frantic state. "Anna, listen to me." She wouldn't stop. This time I shook her while I spoke. "Listen to me! Listen to me!" She stopped and looked me straight in the eyes. I sighed with relief. "Look...I know you're scared and I know you never wished to have this responsibility on your shoulders. But...there's a possibility that I might not come back from this war. A possibility that I won't...survive and if that happens...I'm not leaving Arendelle without a Queen. I'm not leaving my people without someone to lead them. Anna, you are my sister and a princess of Arendelle. I wouldn't be asking you this if I didn't know you can do it. But I believe you can, I know you can rule this kingdom. I know you have the possibility, why? Because you are my sister and you are our father's daughter. If anyone can do it...its you."

She said nothing for a long minute. Her hands slowly going to hold my face as her bottom lip trembled. She was scared, terrified and I understood why. It's a great responsibility to rule a kingdom, to lead people that look up to you. Trust in you. She was just handling the kingdom as a princess until I returned. But now...I'm asking her to take full control. With little choice of me returning to taking the crown back from her. She took in a shaky breath as her fragile green eyes scanned my face, trying remember every inch of it. My sister, my little Anna...my how have you grown. It seemed like it was only yesterday you were knocking on my bedroom door to come out and build a snowman. Look at you now...grown up and ready to marry the man of your dreams. Your life is more put together than mine...more stable. You...are the perfect person to rule this kingdom.

"You survive...you come back to me and claim what's rightfully yours. Take back the crown. You live through this war or I'll never forgive you. You hear me? I will never forgive you if you die Elsa! Never!" She then engulfed me in her arms. Holding me tight as she began to cry on my shoulder once more. This time...I couldn't hold back and tears of my own escaped from my eyes. Burying my own face into my sister's shoulder. My sister...my sweet sweet sister. It was then I felt Jack's hand on my shoulder. Making both me and Anna look at him with pained filled eyes and soaked tears. He scanned my face for a long moment and smiled. He then turned his head to look at Anna, his hand tight on my shoulder.

"Don't worry Princess Anna...I will make sure Elsa is safe. I'll make sure your sister will get back to you." Anna smiled.

"That's Queen Anna to you," Kristoff said, making us all look at him.

"Kristoff!" Anna said scolding, about to hit Kristoff when he put his hands up in surrender. "Hey, I'm just saying that for you to get use to it. It's not every day you become Queen."

I smiled at Kristoff as he then put his arm around Anna's shoulders. Holding her tight against him. "Don't worry Elsa, she won't be alone with this. I'll make sure she keeps calm and rules your kingdom right."

"Thank you Kristoff," I said with a smile. My attention then going back to my sister.

"Let's go make you Queen."
