We chose our path. Paved with complications and twist and turns. Problems you were afraid to encounter. You were scared and I understood. But I took your hand and said, "nothing...is simple. For life...will be the most complicated thing that we will conquer."

❄️ Pitch's P.O.V ❄️

I would never guess I would face them without my shield. My true form staring upon my demons as they did the same. Except to them...I was the monster.

We stood before them, waiting to be judged. To be spoken to as we came to a stop. My hand tightening on Saraphine's as I peered into Manny's eyes. Feeling Neptune's eyes burn with rage as he locked on mine and Saraphine's joined hands. Someone's jealous. I pulled Saraphine closer to me, flashing Neptune a glare. He flinched, surprised from my arrogance as he reclaimed his piss facade.

"You wished to see us?" I questioned. Ripping my eyes off of Neptune onto Manny. The other's looking at me with blank stares as he looked at me with compassion.

"Yes, we did." He replied. Father Time butting in as he addressed Kaname. "Kaname, I can see you are well."

Kaname flew off my shoulder. Black smoke surrounding him as he landed upon the floor. Taking upon his human form as he stood behind me and Elsa. Hovering over her protectively.

"Yes. I am." He replied emotionless. Not buying into their caring words, words that could soon become stone cold. They were sizing us up, to see how much we could do, how much we could accomplished. They saw me as a threat and that was no secret. They knew and that's why they punished. They all scanned us...their eyes falling upon Elsa in one simultaneously moment. Manny's bottom lip dropping as he looked between me and her. Questioning if...this was really what she had become.

"Is this..."

"Council..." I addressed them, placing my hand in between her shoulder blades as I introduced her to them. Her eyes showing no recognition. "...this is Elsa. She has no memory before 3 months ago."

"It's a pleasure to meet you high council." She bowed, placing her right hand on her shoulder as she did so. Straightening back up as Manny stood from his Pedestal. His eyes not leaving her as he walked behind Mother Nature and Father Time. Walking down to the very floor we stood upon. It was silent as we watched him, every heart stopping as he stood in front of her. He scanned her features, her eyes wide as she stared at him with shock and...something else. They spoke with eyes instead of lips. Seeing if she could remember the unforgettable. Seeing if she could remember...her second father.

He sighed, his lips perking up into a sadden smile. Broken eyes that were about to cry, staring at her with hopelessness. I wanted to look away...I did not want to see Manny this way. But no matter how much I wanted to...I couldn't rip my eyes from off of them.

"You really don't remember do you?" He spoke softly to her. Ready to open her mouth as he placed his hand softly upon her cheek. His sudden touch making her cease into silence. She froze, her breath stifling as her eyes shut automatically. Looking down as she tried to...process this touch, this feeling. Slowly she leaned into the touch, her hand reaching up to grab it as it remained upon her face. Her breathing became normal as her eyes slowly opened.

Blue...her eyes...were ice cold blue.

All jaws drop as tears streamed from this child's eyes. Her eyebrows knitted together with concern as she looked upon Manny with recognition. Her hands grabbing his shoulder as her hands shook.

"M-Manny..." she uttered in desperation. A voice that you would use when you thought that person was long gone.

"Elsa..." he replied, making sure if she truly remembered him.

"Manny!" She replied, throwing her arms around him. Burying her face into his shoulder as she cried. His own arms wrapping around her as he held her tightly. Stroking her black hair as he whispered soft things in her ear.

"It's okay Elsa...it's okay." He cooed.

She pulled away from him. Looking at him as she spoke, "Manny I-" Her voice died off. Her eyes fluttering shut as she fell backwards into Kaname's arms. She had fainted.

"Shit," I cursed. Letting go of Saraphine as I placed my hand upon her forehead. She was burning up.

"Damn it." I said, looking at Kaname.

"Pitch what's going on!?" Manny spoke with urgency and concern.

"I have to go-"

"You aren't going anywhere until you explain what the hell is going on!" Mother Nature protested as she stood from her chair. My eyes glowering at the stupid bitch. I sighed, turning towards Kaname as he picked Elsa up bridal style. Holding her tightly as he looked at me with obedient eyes. Waiting for me to give the order.

"Kaname, take Elsa home. Get some wet towels and lay them across her forehead. Make sure she stays cool, she's running a high fever so heat won't help."

"But Pitch what about you and Saraphine?"

"Me and her will be fine. Now go."

"But-"

"Go Kaname, now! Before she gets worst."

He nodded, his eyes filling with determination. He turned, walking out of the room quickly to ensure Elsa's well being. I growled, turning back to look at the council. Manny taking his place back upon the pedestal as he waited for my explanation. Saraphine stood closely next to me, ready to protect me if needed.

"Now Pitch..." Mother Nature spoke in a calm voice. Sitting down as she folded her hands upon the small table in front of her. "...would you care to explain what on earth is going on?"

I stared at her, my eyebrows furrowed in determination. "I already assume that you knew...that Tooth is trying to wipe away Elsa from existence. Correct?"

"Correct." She replied.

"And that Elsa has no memories before three months ago?"

"Yes."

"And I believe you already have a theory as to why Tooth is acting like this correct?"

"Yes and your point is?" She said getting a bit impatient.

I smirked, "just making sure you're caught up." I spoke in a cocky tone. Earning a small chuckle from the rest of the council members. "...but what you don't know is...the spells that we use and the consequences of those spells."

Mother Nature's face became confused in an instant. Giving the chance for Solaria to speak.

"What do you mean?"

I looked at her, making sure to be nice or I will get a beating from Manny. "A memory...is a precious thing. It's what makes us, us. It forms you over the years as you remember the good times and bad. Taking away a memory is like taking away a piece of someone's soul. So you can't take away a memory with just any spell...it has to be a grand spell."

"So what you're saying is...?"

I sighed. "The spelled that I put on Elsa holds a great deal of magic. There's a wall in her mind that separates the her from now and the her from then. It may take her a long deal of time before she gets her memories back."

"Can't you just give her memories back?" Father Time questioned.

"Yeah, can't you-" I cut Solaria off.

"Do you think it's that simple?! Nothing is that simple! Don't you think if that were the case I would have given them back already. Magic comes with a price, a certain way things need to be done. Nothing is that simple, not even life itself is simple."

"So how do we break it?" Manny was the one to speak this time. His voice on the verge of breaking. Manny, he's probably, no...he is hurting the most. He picked us one by one and I bet he never imagined that this would happen. Not to us...not to her.

"She has to remember slowly. I can already see that she's picking at the wall. I already know she remembered several things yesterday. And-"

"How do you know?" Neptune cut me off. "How do you know she's remembering things?"

"Her memories have to go somewhere right? You can't just erase them? I...I have her memories and with ever memory of her's I forget...she gains. Now I can't look at her memories but I know when they are there and when they are not. Yesterday...she remembered two of them. One of Jack and one of Anna."

"Of Jack? But how did she-"

"She's been meeting Jack from time to time." I said, cutting Mother Nature off. "In the woods. Without the notice of Tooth, Jack would go to the frozen lake in the woods. The first time they met after both of their memories had been erased. They are already doing more than what we could ever do. They are remembering things, wanting things, dreaming of things. They amaze me, even when they forget they still find each other. No matter what."

"But why did Elsa faint when she remembered me?" Manny questioned.

"Because when she saw you, it unlocked a variety of memories. You've been with her for her whole life, so the memories probably overwhelmed her brain and that's why she fainted. She can't remember too fast."

"And if she does?"

I sighed, shoving my hands in my pockets before I spoke the next lines. "Her mind and body will both shut down and she will remain in a still like state. Until she slowly dies from her overwhelmed brain."

It was silent. The overwhelming fear filling everyone's heart as the fact of death flooded our minds. Guardians don't age but they can be killed. Internally or externally, we can be killed either way.

"And Jack...what about him? And how come Elsa didn't remember him right away like she did with Manny?" Solaria questioned softly.

"Jack is under a different spell, one that's not so threatening. The thing is would he want to remember or not...that's the question. It's his decision whether to let his need and the dreams take over. And the reason why she didn't remember him right away is because...he's the reason why she wanted her memories taken away."

"But he loved her and she loved him. Why would she-"

"Like I said...Tooth can be a bitch, but that doesn't matter. Elsa will remember Jack once he remembers her. The spell she's under is because of Jack and the spell that he's under is because of Elsa. They are connected, so once one remembers the other will do the same. Funny how magic works that way."

Manny sighed, looking at the rest of the Guardians as they contemplated and thought. Processing the information to see what would be the best way to handle this. To see how they could do this...without getting anyone killed. Manny looked at me, nodding before he spoke.

"Thank you Pitch. We will tell you when we decide how this should be handled. You may go."

"As you wish." I turned to Saraphine, itching to grab her hand as I said. "Come on Saraphine, let's make sure that Elsa is alright."

She smiled, giving me a nod as we turned. My hand reaching for her's when-

"And where do you think you're going, Saraphine?!" Neptune roared. His voice threatening and strict. We turned around, our hands falling to our sides as we looked upon him. His eyes looking upon her as if she was his and his alone. A looked that wanted me to rip his throat out. I glared at him, my arm wrapping around her waist as I pulled her into my side. My grip tightening around her as my eyes told Neptune to back off.

"She's coming with me." I replied for her.

"No, she's not." He retorted. Earning a growl as my grip on her did not faltered, but strengthened. I was about to teach this boy a lesson as I rose my hand. Thinking it would be funny to give him a nightmare where he was eternally ugly. I smirked, my eyes burning as he looked at me with a bit of fright and anticipation. I was about to attack when Saraphine placed her hand on my chest. My smirk fading as I looked at her, notifying me that she will take care of this. I sighed, nodding in response as my hand fell.

"I can go wherever I want Neptune and I'm going with him."

"You know he's a bad influence Sadaphine. He'll corrupt-"

"He's a better influence than you'll ever be. And besides I can handle myself, now goodbye Neptune."

"Saraphine..." he sound threatening now. "...you go with him you will be kicked off this council."

She narrowed her eyes at him. Her vibrant purple eyes turning almost black as she looked at him menacingly. "So what?" She spoke sternly. A sternness that was beyond sexy. "And besides it's not your decisions. For I was a council member way before you boy. You wouldn't dare go against me."

"W-why's that?" He stuttered, trying to keep his composure.

"Cause we all know I'll kick your ass."

The other council members laughed. Knowing it was sad, but extremely true. Saraphine could definitely kick fish boy's ass. Neptune's face turned eight shades of red as the council continued to laugh at his embarrassment. Making Saraphine smirk for she had accomplished what she wanted to. She then wrapped her arms around my waist, my arm still around her's.

"This conversation is over Neptune. We will be leaving now." And with those last words we turned and begin to walk. Our arms still wrapped around each other as we headed for the doors. The noise of the council's laughter behind us as Neptune's glare burned into our backs. I bended down, putting my mouth near Saraphine's ear as I whispered...

"Did you really mean that?"

"What? That I could kick Neptune's ass. I totally could."

"No not that. About me being a better influence than him?"

She chuckled and turned her head so she may whisper in my own ear.

"I meant every word."

❄️ Jack's P.O.V ❄️

"Jack."

My eyes searched the woods. Hearing the metallic voice clearly as it echoed among the trees. Being able to see my own breath as my feet slushed against the snow. My head whipping in each direction trying to find her.

"Elsa." I breathed.

"Jack!" She screamed. Sending my heart into overdrive as I ran to her. Fear consuming me as trees rushed pass me.

"Jack! Help me! I-I can't control them! My powers...I can't..."

"I'm coming Elsa! I'm coming!" I replied, following her voice as I ran.

"Elsa!"

"Jack!"

One moment I was in the woods, but the next I was in a clearing. The clearing where the frozen lake resided, the lake where I had met Elsa for the first time. And there she was. Clutching herself as she rocked back and forth. Kneeling on her knees as her long black ice dress flared out behind her. Her raven black hair pulled back into a braid as some strands fell onto her face in frustration. She was crying and my heart dropped.

"Elsa." I said taking a step forward as I reached out for her. A hand quickly grabbed my arm as it pulled me back. My head turning to the person as I was met with two magenta colored eyes.

"Tooth?"

"Don't go to her Jack. Stay here...stay with me." She pleaded. Her face showing a pained expression as she begged for me not to go.

"But she's in pain. She's-"

"Dangerous." She spoke cutting me off. "She can't control her powers. She might kill anyone who comes near her. You don't know what she's capable of! Please Jack stay with me!"

"I...I can't I have to help her. I have to!" I begin to pull away. Wanting to reach Elsa as quickly as I could. She needs me! Tooth pulled me back, earning a growl from me as she continued to beg.

"Jack please. It's either me or her. There is no in between!"

"Then I choose her!" I shot back at her. Making her jump as she took a step away, letting go of my arm.

"She'll kill you Jack. You'll be safer with me."

"I would rather die by her hands instead of not having her in my life at all."

I then ran. Ignoring Tooth's calls as she shouted my name. Blocking out her pleading and begging as I kept my mind on one thing and one thing only. I had made my choice, I was going to be with her. I needed to be with Elsa. I ran like a mad man. Falling to my knees as I kneeled before her.

"Elsa...Elsa look at me." I pleaded. Her eyes casted down for she did not dare look at me. I reached out to touch, her hand pushing me away.

"No Jack...d-don't touch me." She spoke in a broken voice. "I...I can't control my powers. I might hurt you or I might k...please you must stay away from me Jack! You must!"

"No! I will not."

"But you have to! If you don't I might k-"

"You'll kill me by pushing me away!" I shouted. Her sobbing stopped as she listened to me.

"I need you Elsa. I want you. I...I love you."

"Jack-"

"Shhh," I cooed. Grabbing her face in my hands as I made her look at me. Her red eyes holding specks of blue as the tears cease to no end. "I will not leave you. I'm here and I always will be."

"But what if I hurt you."

"I don't care..." I spoke in a hush whisper. My heart thumping in my chest as I brought my face closer to her's. My hot breath making her shudder as it grazed upon her lips. "...as long as you're mine...I don't care."

I slammed my lips against her's. Surprising her as I kissed her slowly, praying that she would kiss back. Thankfully she did. Her hands rummaging threw my hair as I growled against her lips. Begging for her to open them so I may indulge inside. Seeing my intentions she parted her lips, my tongue tangling with her's. The kiss soon become desperate and possessive. She was heaven in a body, my heaven and I wanted more. So much more of this heaven. My hand glided down her body, feeling her shudder as I pulled her against my body. The chills becoming flames as snowflakes danced within my stomach.

"Jack." She moaned between kisses. Railing me up even more as my hands glided over her body. Feeling every curve, every edge, that made up her beautiful body. A body I wanted to hold all threw the night. A body I wanted to claim. Is it possible to feel everything? Cause this kiss...is making me feel everything. All the emotions, every breath, every heart beat, I was feeling it and I don't want it to stop.

"Jack," she breathed as we pulled apart. My lips attaching to her neck as she trembled every now and then.

"Jack." I was kissing her neck. Nibbling softly against her skin as I pleased.

"Jack." My hands clawed down her back.

"Jack."

"JACK!"

I was awoken from my sleep by the shouting of my name. Sitting up as I came face to face with a worried stricken Tooth.

"Jack are you alright?!" She placed her hand on my forehead. "Jack you're sweating like crazy?! Do you feel sick??"

I groaned. Mentally cursing in my mind as I it dawned on me that...it was a dream. A dream that I wanted to be reality so bad. "No Tooth, I'm fine I just had..." I wouldn't call it a nightmare and I can't tell her the truth so..."...a very strange dream. That's all."

"You sure? Do you want North to look at you?"

"Yes I'm fine. Don't worry about it alright." I told her calmly. Trying to reassure her so she wouldn't make a big fuss out of it.

"You sure? I can sleep with you in case it happens again."

"No Tooth, I'm fine go back to bed." I said sternly.

"But-"

"Go to bed." I said sternly. Her face dropping to sadness as she looked down. I sighed, looking away as I placed one of my hands behind my head. "I'm sorry...I just. I just want to be alone right now and you need your rest Tooth. Please go to bed, for me?" I told her softly and she smiled.

"If that is what you wish, then it shall be done." She kissed my cheek. My hand wanting it to wipe it off instantly. Gah, when did that feeling start to begin? When did I start feeling so disgusted towards her love? I gave her a smile, telling her that everything is okay. She stood up, walking towards my bedroom door before she turned around and said...

"Good night."

I smiled, "good night."

She nodded walking out the door and closed it behind her. I sighed, falling back onto my pillow. Running my hand threw my white hair with frustration.

"What the fuck am I doing?" I questioned myself in a whisper.

Why does love have to be so complicated. Oh yeah, because life is not fucking simple. I sighed, laying there in the darkness as I thought. I thought, I remembered, and thought. I wanted her...I wanted her so bad that my lungs needed her to breath. I closed my eyes and I was able to see her beautiful face. Feel her soft black hair as I reached out to touch it. Her red eyes sending my heart into a flutter as her voice sent me to ecstasy. I could feel her and every fiber in my being was itching for her.

I exhaled and opened my eyes. I have to do something...something that I should have done a long goddamn time ago.

It was morning and I had slipped on a grayish blue V-neck with dark brown tight pants. Shoving my hands in my pocket as I walked out of my room barefoot. Running my hand through my hair as I walked down the hall various people waving "good morning" to me and I did the same.

"It's weird not seeing you in the hoodie mate," said bunny.

"And it's weird not seeing you in pants, but I'm not complaining." I snickered. Teasing bunny as he tried to come back with a come-back. He never did. I won that battle. My smile soon faded as I reached the library, knowing that's where Tooth would be. I sighed, shaking my head as I took a deep breath. I entered the library, being greeted with a smiling tooth as she sat at the long table that resided in there. Reading the book of Guardians for the umpteenth time.

"Good morning." She cooed as I walked towards her.

"Good morning," I spoke. Not really saying it happy as I sat on the table. Putting some distance between us as I sat on the left side of her. She gave me a confused look, but decided not to question me.

"So who should we study today?" She questioned turning her attention back towards the book. "Karma? Scaredy cat? The brother's of luck? Sara-"

"Tooth." I said. Getting her attention as she gave me a questioning look.

"Yes?" She said cautiously. As if she had a bad feeling as to what I was going to say.

"I...I have to tell you something."

She fell silent. Closing the book as fear invaded her eyes. She took a deep breath, her hands lying upon her lap as she turned to me.

"I-I'm listening." Her voice was restricted.

"Tooth..." I began and I sighed. Knowing that this wasn't going to be easy.

"Tooth...I'm breaking up with you."
