It Begins
The mind is a precious thing and when you forget, it has a library to make you remember.
❄
"Elsa," the voice coes softly.
I can't see anything, I can't feel anything.
"Elsa, where are you Elsa?"
The voice questions. A deep and warm voice that makes me shudder every time he says my name. My eyes are searching frantically for the holder of the voice, as the voice continues to speak.
"Where are you Elsa? My adorable Elsa?"
"W-who are you? Where are you?" I ask.
"Elsa?" Another voice asks off in the distance. This time it's a girl voice, a girl that sounds just a little younger than me.
"Elsa please come home, we need you. We miss you."
"What do you want from me? How do you know me?" I demand.
"Elsa, come home. I miss you, the kingdom misses you. You need to come back. Please come back."
"Elsa, my adorable Elsa," the deep voice spoke.
"Come home Elsa," the girl pleads.
"Elsa."
"Elsa."
"Elsa," a chorus of people said.
"Elsa."
"My adorable Elsa."
"Come home-"
"Elsa."
They all began to talk at once. Multiple people speaking my name at different times, overlapping over each other's words in a confused round. Their words surrounded me as their voices filled my ears, their pleads of desperation as their many voices rose with need. Making my head pound as they continued their confused round, as their confused round sped up.
"Elsa."
"Come home E-"
"Elsa."
"My adorable-"
"Come hom-"
"Elsa."
"Elsa."
"My ador-"
"Come-"
"My-"
"Elsa!"
"WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME!"
I woke up, shooting up in my bed as my breathing was heavy. My hands clutching the bed sheets as my black hair draped my shoulders in sleepless mess. I ran my hand through my hair, pulling my bangs away from my face. That's the third time this month, the third time I had that dream and every time I would wake up in the middle of the night feeling confused and exhausted. My heart was pounding as I inhaled deeply to catch my breath. What...what's going on? Why am I having these...these nightmares? Why do the voices sound somewhat familiar? Why-
BAM!
I jumped as my door slammed open. There...standing in the door was a tired and exhausted pitch. His black hair was a mess, but it was a sexy mess, he was shirtless as his toned chest rose and fell with each breath. He wore black pajama pants as they hang a little bit too low on his waist, his legs were bent, ready to bolt if he needed. He looked around the room frantically, his body tensed before his eyes finally land on me. We locked eyes and he sighed, running his hand through his black hair as he relaxed and stood up straight.
"The dream again?" He asked concerned.
I nodded, my eyes casted down in shame. He walked into the room, his strides long and elegant. His feet padded against the wooden floor as he stood next to my bed. His arm extending out to me so he could place his hand on my shoulder for comfort. He was tired, his eyes deprived from sleep as his lips grimace from exhaustion. How many times have I woke you up with my silly dreams?
"Don't..." I said, swatting his hand away with my own. Our hands stayed in the air were they collided, the top of my hand touching the bottom of his.
"Don't worry about me..." I spoke as my eyes continued to look down.
"It's just a dream. Go back to bed, I'll be fine."
"Elsa-"
"I'm fine."
It was at this time Pitched had growled and became frustrated. The next thing I knew he was sitting next to me on the bed, his left hand holding my right wrist as his left arm wrapped around my waist. His chin was above my right shoulder, his lips right next to my ear as he growled menacingly, making me shudder.
"Stop being such a stubborn child," he growled in my ear.
"Big-"
Pitch had cut my sentence short as he had picked me up bridal style. Holding me tight as my head fell against his bare shoulder. I looked at him, my cheeks going warm as he carried me from my bedroom.
"Pitch! Where are you taking me!" I asked as I thrashed in his arms.
He didn't answer as he continued to look forward.
"Pitch!" I shouted as I thrashed more and I could feel his grip on me loosened. I thrashed more, trying to get out of his hold when he suddenly bit my ear. I froze, blush rising to my cheeks as his teeth stayed clamped around my ear. He pulled away growling in my ear before he looked at me, his vibrant yellow eyes burning into my bright red ones.
"Stop thrashing or next time I bite your neck," he threatened as he stopped walking. I nodded sheeply and he continued to walk. We walked down the hall, walking into the room that was right next to me, walking into the room that was his. The walls of his bedroom were pitch black as his floor was the same. The bed was covered in satin black sheets with satin black pillows, it was a queen size bed as it laid against the wall that connected our two rooms. A black flat screen T.V. hung on the wall as it faced the bed. His room was big, neat, and elegant, a room that was fit for the king of nightmares. He walked over to the bed in long strides as he kept me in his arms.
"Um...P-Pitch what are you do-"
My sentences was cut short when I was dropped onto the bed with a big "omff". My head landed on the black pillow as my body was submerged into the soft black matress. I tried to get up but my body was soon pinned against the bed as Pitched hovered over me. His hands buried into the mattress that was right next to my shoulders, his knees on each side of me as his hands did the same. I looked up at him, my eyes still and wide as his peered down into mine, his black bangs fell from his face in elegant manner as he had me trapped under his body.
"B-Big Brother-"
"Elsa," he said my name softly.
"Every time you have a nightmare you will wake up, come into my room and climb into bed with me. I care about you, I worry about you, so don't tell me you're fine when I know you're not. I know what it's like to be scared, I know what it's like to be confused, I know what's it's like...to be not in control. I know that's how you're feeling right now, you're scared, confused, you don't know if these nightmares mean something or if they're just your imagination. So don't you dare tell me you're fine! Don't you dare push me away! Cause no matter how tired am I or how exhausted I may look, I will always be worried about you! Do you understand?!"
I didn't answer as I continued to look up at him.
"Elsa! Do you understand!?"
"Y-Yes, yes...I understand."
His face softened as a smile took upon his lips. "Good," he said as he got off of me. Laying on his side as he took his spot next to me. He layed down on the bed as he pulled me into his chest, draping the black satin sheets over us as I buried my face into his chest. I relaxed in his arms as I let them wrap around me tightly. How can you feel so comfortable in the arms of a man you just met? I just don't understand it.
"Elsa," he whispered as his hand found my hair. Stroking it softly as his hand coaxed me to sleep.
"Hm?" I asked tiredly, my eyes barely able to stay open.
"Please don't push me away Elsa, please. I would die if something would happen to you. So, please...don't push me away." He pleaded softly.
My heart felt a ping of pain as I heard his pleading voice in my ears. I cuddled into his chest more as my arms wrapped tightly around his body.
"Never..." I whispered.
"I will never push you away."
❄ Mean while ❄
Knock Knock
I was awoke from my slumber as someone decided to knock on my door. I groaned flopping over onto my stomach, hoping they would go away.
KNOCK, KNOCK
I groaned more as the knocking became louder, grabbing my pillow as I put it over my head. Trying to tune the noise out so I could go back to sleep.
"Go away!" I croaked from under the pillow. It was at this time I heard my bedroom door fly open, banging against the wall.
"Is that anyway to say 'good morning to your girlfriend'?" She asked as she walked into the room. I moved the pillow off my ahead, peeking up at her and all her sassiness. She looked down at me with eyes that read danger, her arms crossed over her chest as she popped her hip as she stood.
"Is that anyway to wake up your boyfriend?" I asked while mocking her tone.
She sighed, giving out a small chuckle as her arms fell in defeat.
"I suppose not," she said with a sexy grin. Then she walked over to my bed, bending down as she kissed my cheek. Letting her lips linger there as I layed there still, a wide smile plastered on my face.
"Good morning Jack," she whispered in my ear before she bit it lightly. I chuckled, cute, she's trying to get me turned on, but I am too tired for that right now.
"Good morning Tooth," I whispered.
She stood up straight, smiling as she looked down as the mess that was known as me. My hair was wild and messy as I layed there shirtless. My tired eyes looking up at her lively ones, eyes that were awake and alert.
"Get dress, we have alot of training to do," she chuckled as she began to walk out the door.
"Urgh, 5 more minutes," I groaned.
"This instant young man!" She scolded as she stood in the door way.
"Uuuugh, fine mom," I moaned. She laughed and I sat up, staring at her as she stood in the door.
"I love you," she spoke with a smile and for some reason my body tensed.
"I love you too," I said softly and she walked out of my room. Closing my bedroom door behind her.
What the hell was that? I thought as I stood up from my bed, why did I tense why she said "I love you"? I sighed as I ran my hand through my hair in frustration, I walked over to my closet and I began to get dressed.
Ever since a month ago...I've been feeling...strange. I feel like, I don't know, I just don't feel like the same. Every time I kiss Tooth, apart of me loves it while a part of me wants to pull away and every time she says my name a part of me shivers in disgust while the other is not effected at all. And when she says..."I love you," my whole body tenses like she said "I hate you". What's going on with me?
I thought as I draped my hood over my head, my eyes casted down at my bedroom floor. I love her don't I? I've always loved her haven't I? But my body is trying to reject her completely, like it's telling me that this isn't right...that...there's someone else...someone better. But my brain is trying to make sure that I love her, placing memories of her into my mind constantly, like a movie or broken record. Memories that I don't even remember having, memories...that feels like...that they should be someone else there...someone who-
I shook my head violently, getting these thoughts out of my mind. What the hell am I thinking? I'm just imagining stuff, everything is fine and if I'm not just imagining, I'm pretty sure it's just a phase. Everything is fine, nothing's wrong and besides how could I possible love anyone else, that's impossible. Tooth is so perfect, she's cute, kind, sweet, lovely, she's just so...so amazing. There's no way in the world that I, Jack Frost, could possible love anyone else.
Right?
❄ Manny' s P.O.V ❄
People were shouting, running around frantically in the halls as they held stacks of papers. Search parties were being dismissed all around the globe, trying to find Elsa. I walked through the halls, dodging people as they ran by me, papers were flying as they covered the halls in their pale white blanket. I walked into the throne room, my arms pushing the doors open as the council sat in their chairs.
"Any luck?" Mother Natured questioned.
"No, none."
The council looked down, casting their eyes down in frustration as stacks of papers layed before them.
"No one has seen her in months, how can one person...just vanish like that." Solaria whispered in concern.
"Manny, have you tried...?" Saraphine questioned, a sorrowful look on her face.
"No, I haven't tried him yet and I'm hoping that's not the case." I answered and she nodded solemnly.
"Why haven't you tried...him yet?!" Mother Nature spoke a little pissed off.
"Cause I don't want him to be accused of something he did not do," I snapped at her.
"Even if that means that he is guilty! That he is the one to blame-"
"DON'T YOU THINK WE'VE DONE ENOUGH TO HIM!" I shouted and the whole council went silent as I stood there in rage.
"Don't you remember what we did to him! What we did to her!" I screamed as I gestured to Saraphine as I said the word, "her". I saw Saraphine flinched as she become still, her jaw clenched tightly as her hands gripped the edge of the table.
"We...we tortured them! We tortured them both! And for what?! So that they wouldn't become evil, can't you people see that Pitch became evil because of it! We...we made Pitch evil! We made him into a monster, an outcast, were the DAMN REASON WHY HE DOESN'T FEEL LIKE HE BELONGS! We're the reason why...why Pitch can never look himself in the mirror and be proud for what he is! And no one...not one of us has the right to say who is guilty and who is innocent, cause god knows that we're all guilty. The only person who has the right to judge is Saraphine, for she was a victim of our guilty ways. We...have no right to judge, for we...are the guilty ones."
It was silent for a moment, the air was tense and heavy as it layed on everyone shoulders. Everyone knew I was right, that I had spoke the truth, but no one had dared to admit it.
"Manny-" Solaria began in a hurt tone, I love her so much.
"I've tried beckoning the guardians but they won't answer. So I'm going to visit them in person and then if Elsa's not there...I'll go visit Pitch. Is that alright with you?" I asked looking up at Solaria with pleading eyes. I could see she was about to cry, her eyes beginning to water as they stinged her eyes lids.
"Of course," she said quietly as she nodded.
I nodded, "in the mean time call off the search parties."
"What!?" Mother Natured shouted as she jumped from her seat.
"If Elsa is not with the Guardians I'll have them help me..." I paused as I turned around, walking vigorously to the throne room doors.
"...I will not have Elsa's disappearance be made into a show," I said sternly as I walked through the throne room doors and down the hall. I walked with purpose in every step that I took, dodging people once more as their work began to seize to a stop. I was almost about to leave the hall into the launch pad when I heard...
"MANNY!"
I turned to the person who spoke my name. It was Saraphine, I watched as she walked down the hall as she approached me with fire in her step.
"Saraphine? What is it?" I questioned as she now stood in front of me.
"I want to help you search for Elsa." Determination flashed in her eyes.
"But aren't you needed here?"
"They'll do fine without me, let me help you." She pleaded with her eyes.
"Alright, we'll split up cover more ground."
She nodded in response as we continued to walk again, side by side.
"You'll visit the Guardians while I-"
"No," she said.
"What?" I questioned confused and she looked at me.
"You'll visit the Guardains and I'll visit Pitch."
"Saraphine...are you sure?"
"Yes, now go...we haven't got much time!" She demanded.
This is when we split ways, she headed for Pitch...while I...headed for the guardians.
Be careful Saraphine.
❄ Elsa's P.O.V ❄
"Big Brother, I'm going for a walk out in the woods. I'll be back before Supper," I called from the door.
"Alright, but remember to put your cloak on and don't get lost." Pitch Shouted from the kitchen.
"I won't," I said as I draped my long black cloak over my black ice dress.
(Black ice dress is the black version of her original ice dress)
"See you around dinner," I announced as I opened the door. The cold rushing wind blowing in my face rapidly.
"See ya, be careful."
"I will, bye!" I shouted walking through the door.
"Bye!" He said and I closed the door behind me. Venturing out into the snow covered woods.
❄
It was still, the sound of slush under my feet as the birds chirped in the trees. Clear icicles hang from tree branches like Christmas lights as a white frost covered the pine needles. Even though this forest will be forever cold and forever in snow, it is filled with so much life and so much warmth! It just felt more...enchanting, the smell of pine needles and earth entered my nose as I saw two squirrels. One was chasing the other because the other stole his nut, I chuckled as they ran across my path. I saw a bird gathering twigs and sticks for her new nest, a doe running off in the distance as a white fox ran behind her. It wasn't until I came upon a lake that I froze in my tracks.
The lake was frozen solid as a frozen waterfall fed into it. A willow tree hung over the lake as crystallized dew drops hang from the tips of their leafs. The light danced off the waterfall in a beauty that matched the heavens. I was frozen in awe as I stood at the edge of the lake, I wasn't frozen because of it's beauty.
No...I was frozen because I have been here before.
