Two months before the first encounter

It was dark, almost midnight. A small child, about five years old slept under a tree. They were wearing a long-sleeved white shirt and grey leggings. They had a strange, scaly, black band wrapped around their waist. Two men were walking along the path when they saw the child. The first one smirked, picking up the child.

"I think this one might sell well." The first man said as the two men walked back to their wagon.

A few days later

The two slave traders rode into town with a covered cage behind them. They walked to an inn and made arrangements to stay there for two months. After they parked the wagon they went inside.

A month later

The two men had been experimenting with sealing jutsus and they had figured out a way to thread strings of chakra into the girl's face, paralyzing the muscle and rendering the child mute to stop her from crying out when they passed through town. All they needed was the Hokage's seal and then they could leave and find buyers.

They sat in the foyer in front of the Third Hokage's office, waiting for an audience. Finally, the Hokage walked out and they went into his office to address him.

"What are your names?" The Hokage asked.

"My name is Dano and this is Taso." Said the first man, gesturing to the second man behind him. 

"I've heard of you two. The ones with the cage behind your wagon. Why are you here?" The Hokage replied.

"We run an orphanage. We recently found a child and are taking her with us back to the orphanage headquarters. We request one of your seals Lord Hokage." Said Taso.

"If this is true, why would you need a seal and why would the child be in a covered cage." Sarutobi (The Third Hokage) asked.

"Trust me, if there was any other way to transport the child without putting her in the cage we would have done it. But you see, the child has a demon trapped inside of them. However, the seal keeping the demon inside the child is very weak, and the child has turned feral. We keep the cage covered as to stop the girl from alarming any of your people." Dano explained.

The Hokage sighed. "Very well. Just..... make sure the child finds a good home."  Sarutobi said as he handed Dano a sealing kunai.

" Of course, Lord Hokage." The Dano and Taso said as they bowed and walked out of the office, back to the inn they were staying at.
