This takes place during Chapter 6.

Savali... (Ratchet's POV)

I watch as the stars race by the cockpit window of the ship I stole from Nefarious. I knew I was nearing the planet Clank told me about, Savali, which he told me I could find a prophet called "Gary". It's been only a few hours since I talked with Rivet and Y/n through Clank, so I hoped they've made it to Blizar Prime by now.

My ship soon enters the atmosphere and I land on the surface. The cockpit opens and I jump out of it, looking around to see the rocky environment covered in not a lot of plant life.

Ratchet: "If I knew how to build a Dimensionator, where would I be?"

I begin to walk forward to start my search. However, I come across Ms. Zurkon who was somehow on Savali. After a brief talk and a purchase of a new weapon, called the Lightning Rod, we bid each other goodbye and I go back to my job to finding Gary.

After walking down a rocky path, I come across a lizard man in some kind of alien garb. He was looking at some book, and I hoped it was Gary.

Ratchet: "Hey, uh, yeah, weird question. You wouldn't happened to know anything about building a Dimensionator, would you?"

The lizard man jumps a bit and turns to me, only to smile.

Gary: "Ratchet? Ratchet! I'm Gary! Hohoho. You're... reputation precedes you."

Ratchet: "Uuuhh..."

Gary: "You'll need to go into the Interdimensional Archives! My apprentice can help you. But... uh..."

An explosion goes off, making me already know what's going on.

Ratchet: "Town under attack?"

Gary: "How did you know?"

I look at Gary in confusion before I shake my head.

Ratchet: "I'll go check it out. I think I still remember how to stop an invasion. And let me guess, these Nefarious guys are looking for a Lombax or two?"

Gary: "Well, yes, that did tip me of that you'd be coming."

I only chuckle at this.

Ratchet: "You stay here, Gary. I'll handle this."

Gary goes back to his book with a thankful nod and I take off towards the town. I take out my Burst Pistol as J near a town, spotting some Nefarious Troopers who were running around. I smirk as I run forward and take aim, opening fire on them which takes them by surprise.

Nefarious Trooper: "An intruder! Something fun!"

Ratchet: "I think you're the intruders around here!"

I switch to The Enforcer and blast away more Troopers. Some of the local animal life even attacked me, but I easily took care of them with a few swings from my Omni-Wrench. I then travel into the town, engaging more Nefarious Troopers along the way. There were quite a few, so I switched to my Lightning Rod and opened fire. And just how it works, electricity begins to short-circut them as electricity also bounces around the group. It wasn't long until I dealt with the Troopers completely, and I couldn't help but smile at my work.

Ratchet: "Another town saved! Now about those Archives."

I turn and make my way towards the building Gary had motioned towards earlier. However, an alarm goes off as some sort of PA says something about detecting an Interdimensional anomaly. It begins to rise, shaking the ground which nearly sent me falling onto my butt. Then it begins walking away!

Ratchet: "No!"

I run towards a ledge to watch the archives walk away, only to notice something yellow falling through the sky. It looked like a robot, and it was screaming as it fell to the ground. It crashed and bounced on the ground a few times before inevitably stopping, kicking up some dust. I walk up to the small yellow robot.

Yellow Robot: "So embarrassing..."

Ratchet: "Hey! You okay? That was quite the landing."

Yellow Robot: *stands up* "Who are you?"

Ratchet: "Whoa... Sorry, I--... You look so familiar. I'm Ratchet. I'm here to find... I think it was Gary's apprentice. I need to build a Dimensionator...?"

Yellow Robot: "Oh, dear. Well, there is little I can do now as my Archives are walking away." *looks at Interdimensional Archives* "How do I get back up there?"

Ratchet: "Oh! You're his apprentice! Maybe, uh... Maybe we could work together?"

I offer the small robot my hand, but she only looks at it.

Gary's Apprentice: "I... do not make a great partner."

I hum in thought and lower my hand as she backs away. Then I get an idea.

Ratchet: "How 'bout this? If things go badly, which they won't, we go our separate ways. No questions asked. Team?"

I kneel down to the robot's level and offer her my hand again. She looks at it hesitantly before slowly grabbing and shaking it.

Gary's Apprentice: "Sure. Team. For now."

I smile as I grab the robot and place on my back. Just like Clank does, she attaches to my magnet pack and compartmentalizes herself to a more travel-like size.

Gary's Apprentice: "Now in order to reach the Archives, we must rescue the Monks from Nefarious' forces. Those Hoverboots over there will help us travel across the mesa quickly."

I turn my head to where the robot points and see some high-tech shoes lying on top of some boxes. I thank her and go over to put them on. Once they were firmly on my feet, I look back at the former walkway which now looked like a ramp. I smirk as I get an idea and activate the boots as I run forward. I immediately go sailing through the air, and I whoop in excitement before landing on another path. I speed across it with a smile on my face, following the giant Archives which were walking besides me.

Gary's Apprentice: "We will need help from the Monks, Gary's acolytes, to reach the Archives. They should be in their temples."

Ratchet: "Alright. First stop, temples! Oh, hey. I never caught your name."

KT-7461: "Oh... I am KT-7461."

Ratchet: "It's a pleasure to meet ya."

I say with a smile on my face as I speed along. KT then speaks up again.

KT-7461: "There are three temples nearby. The Mountain Temple, the Primeval Forest Temple, and the Temple D'Badlands. We... just call it the Badlands Temple."

I chuckle at this and KT looks over my shoulder to see Nefarious Troopers holding some people hostage. I notice them as well.

KT-7461: "They are holding the Monks prisoner! Ratchet, we must save them! They are our only way to the Archives!"

Ratchet: "Don't worry! I'm on it!"

I speed up and make it to the first temple, the Badlands Temple, and take out my Lightning Rod. Tethering over to a rift, I land on a small platform and the Troopers take notice of me.

Nefarious Trooper: "A detractor in our midst!"

Nefarious Trooper: "Finally! Just what I was waiting for!"

They begin to open fire on me and KT, but I Phantom Dash out of the way and return fire. Electricity zaps all across the battlefield and I switch to my Negtron Collider, firing a pure energy beam at the Troopers. Some explode before I switch to The Enforcer and I continue opening fire.

Nefarious Trooper: "We must interrogate the Lombax! With an appropriate amount of pummeling."

Nefarious Trooper: "How much pummeling is that?"

Nefarious Trooper: "AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!"

Ratchet: "Try pummeling this!"

I switch to my Shatterbombs and throw the explosives at the Troopers. This takes out a good deal of them before KT warns me about some incoming sniper bots. So I switch to my Burst Pistol and open fire on them. It wasn't much longer until all of the Nefarious Troopers in the area were destroyed by my hand.

KT-7461: "All Nefarious forces have been eliminated. Thank you, Ratchet."

Ratchet: "Happy to help. And kick Nefarious Trooper butt."

KT nods and points over to a terminal near the shield the Monks were being held in. She tells me that she needed to access it, so I walk over to it. I turn around so she could face it and, after a brief moment, everything begins to power down and the shield keeping the lizard Monks prisoner was dropped.

KT-7461: *relieved and happy* "Brothers! I am relieved you are alright!"

Monk: "It is, like, so wonderful to see you, Sister KT-7461."

Ratchet: "Did Nefarious' Troopers find the other temples yet?"

Monk: "Not sure, but we'll let Brother Gary know you rescued us. Good luck, Sister and Lombax."

I nod to them and speed away with my Hoverboots as the Monks leave through a rift.

Ratchet: "One temple down, two to go."

KT-7461: "Ratchet? I know the Monks are trying to stay strong, but they are unfamiliar with the cruelty of the Emperor."

Ratchet: "Hey, they'll be alright. We're here."

I increase my speed and dash away, crossing the mesa with incredible speed. However, my curiosity soon peaks and I glance back at KT.

Ratchet: "So, KT-7461. Do you have a nickname?"

KT-7461: "The Monks call me 'Sister'."

Ratchet: "That feels more like a title. Let's try some out. How 'bout... Kaytee?"

KT-7461: "Uh..."

Ratchet: "I got it! Sunshine. Your nickname, 'cause you're yellow."

KT-7461: "I do not think so."

Ratchet: "Kit?"

(We all know this is her name, so I'll just with with that from now on)

Kit: "Um... I don't think you should give me a nickname."

Ratchet: "We'll keep working on it."

I chuckle a bit before jumping two bridges with my Hoverboots. Then I find Gary posed on one leg as he mediates.

Gary: "Ratchet, you have found my apprentice! Good done, both of you. You are now ready to enter the Mountain Temple."

Ratchet: "Nice! Let's--"

Gary: "Well... you're emotionally ready. You do need to overcome the temple's elaborate defense system, or as we lovingly call it, the Gauntlet of Trials Slash Doom."

Kit: "Oh, I hate Slash Doom."

Gary: "You're ready for it, I'm sure. Best of luck!"

I sigh and run off to find these "trials". KT points me to them and I stumble upon the first trail which seemed to be a speed trial of sorts. I activate my Hoverboots again and speed off as KT tells me to follow the path and as fast as possible. I do so and easily make it to the other side. A few more of these trials show up and I go through them, weaving past and ducking under trees and their branches to pass. I even had to take care of some of the local predators that attacked me, but it was over as soon as the fight started.

It wasn't long until I completed every trial which KT thanked me for and congratulated me on. I tell her it was all thanks to her, and then say we have to get back on track and help the Monks. She agrees and I speed off to find them. It wasn't hard since Nefarious Troopers immediately spotted and shot at me.

I shot back with KT telling me to use the surrounding fog to my advantage. I do so and dash in and out of the fog, blasting at the Troopers. I then switch to Mr. Fungi and throw some mushroom attacks at them.

Mr. Fungi: "The fun never stops! THE FUN NEVER STOPS!"

Mr. Fungi: "No guns, only puns."

Mr. Fungi: "The Emperor still owes me money!"

I then switch to my Shatterbombs and blow some Troopers up with them before changing to The Enforcer. I blast the enemy robots away into pieces as I dart in and out of the fog. It was a shorter fight than the Badlands Temple, and the Troopers were all taken care of.

Ratchet: "That's right! We did it! Woohoohoo!"

Kit: "Wonderful job. Now bring me up there to the terminal so I can free the Monks."

Ratchet: "Got it."

I nod and run up the stairs where the Monks were being held. I brought KT up to the terminal, only to see that it was covered in something purple.

Kit: "Oh, no. A Zeta Virhs. I cannot access the terminal without risking contracting it..."

Ratchet: "My little friend Glitch can take a look at it. Here, let me see..."

I take out the device Phantom gave me and brought it up to the terminal. A spark shoots into it and I only wait a few moments before another zap occurs and the purple stuff falls from the terminal. I quietly thank Glitch and pocket her again before everything powers down.

Monk: "You saved us, Sister and Ratchet-guy! Thank you."

Like the other Monks, these ones leave through a rift and I speed off to find the last one.

Kit: "One temple left... Only one more."

Ratchet: "We'll find them, I promise."

I spot a rail nearby and hop onto it, grinding back down to the mesa below. I speed across it as KT speaks up.

Kit: "As I said, you should not try to give me a nickname. Or be my... my friend."

Ratchet: "I think you're being too hard on yourself."

Kit: "You do not know! We just met..."

Ratchet: "I know Gary trusts you. The Monks like you. Maybe give the whole friendship thing a chance."

Kit: "I... will consider it."

I smile at this as I sped across the mesa. We soon come across the final temple which was filled with Nefarious Troopers. KT makes a quick comment as I engage in battle.

Kit: "The Primeval Forest Temple. The Emperor has no respect for any of them."

Ratchet: "The let's teach him some!"

I laugh as I take out my Negtron Collider and go to town with the robots. They all get either vaporized or blown to bits before I switch to my Lightning Rod. I fire and a stream of electricity zaps at the Troopers, freeing them in place as they spasm. I smirk and and take out my Shatterbombs, blowing some Troopers up while damaging others. Then I came across a Nefarious Juggernaut, like the one back at the bazaar in Nefarious City.

Nefarious Juggernaut: "You cannot believe how honored I am to deliver the Emperor's glorious firt! First to you, and then to those Monks."

Ratchet: "Not if I have anything to say about it!"

I switch to The Enforcer and let loose on the Juggernaut. The blasts damage its shell and armor, but it doesn't bring it close to its defeat. So I switch to my Lightning Rod and shoot at it a few times, making it freeze in plasm and I take out my Shatterbombs again. I only had a few left, so I threw them and damaged the giant hulking machine even more. It grew angry as it fired its lasers and rockets at me, but I Phantom Dash out of the way to avoid getting hit.

Ratchet: "I think it's time to finish this!"

Kit: "Right!"

I smirk as I roll away from some rockets and take out my Negtron Collider. I open fire, landing a direct hit on the Juggernaut's exposed core. It takes a few seconds, but it eventually blows up and its body parts fly all over the place. Then I put my weapon away and run up some stairs to see the captured Monks. I bring KT over to the control terminal and she looks at it, only to drop from my back.

Kit: "Um... this system is quite old and... intricate. It will take some time to disable the force field."

Ratchet: "Take as long as you need. We have no need to worry about--"

"I'm afraid that is where you're wrong, Lombax."

I spin around, only to Phantom Dash away to avoid some bullets fired directly at me. They bounce off of the shield which nearly hits KT, and I move to avoid getting hit by the ricocheting bullets. However, one nicks me on my arm and I hiss in pain as I grab it.

???: "Ya know, I heard a lot about you from Nefarious, but you don't look too impressive."

I look up to see a man in some kind of battle armor flying down towards us on top of some kind of drone. He hops off of it and looks directly at me. I notice the small six labeled on his chest.

Alpha Daniels: "My name is Alpha Daniels of the Alpha Task Force. I was looking for Y/n L/n, but you will do just as fine, Ratchet."

"Let's see why Nefarious thinks so much and so little of you."

He aims his rifle at me and opened fire. A stream of bullets flew at me and I moved out of the way with a Phantom Dash. I take out my Burst Pistol and fire back, but the bullets bounce off harmlessly when the man creates an energy shield in front of him.

Ratchet: "Seriously?! Come on!"

Kit: "Ratchet, please distract him! I still need to take down the firewall!"

Ratchet: "I'm on it!"

I Phantom Dash at Daniels and tackle him. We both fall down the staircase and land on the level below. The man kicks me off of him and I get sent back, slamming into a stone wall. I groan and push myself back up, and Daniels does the same as he picks his rifle back up. I grit my teeth at him and he only smirks before aiming at me. I backflip behind the stone wall for cover just as he opened fire, littering the wall full of bullets.

I roll our from behind it and took out The Enforcer, opening fire on my attacker who brought up another energy shield. He deflects all of my bullets before returning fire. I barely dodge the bullets and I switch to my Burst Pistol. However, it had even less effect than The Enforcer since Daniels simply blocked the plasma.

Alpha Daniels: "Hahaha! That all you got, kitty-cat?"

Ratchet: "Kitty-what-now? Whoa!"

I Phantom Dash away from some more gunfire and take cover behind a wall. I had no idea what to do. If he kept bringing up his shield, I won't be able to take him down.

Alpha Daniels: "Come on out, pussy cat! Nefarious wants you alive, but he never said you had to be. Or at least in one piece."

Think, Ratchet, think! Something has to be powering it his shield and tech. If I can short-circuit it, I can bring down his defenses and get in close. Then I remembered that I got the Lightning Rod and my Negatron Collider, and I think up a plan. I take out my Lightning Rod with a smirk.

Ratchet: "Want me? Come and get me!"

Alpha Daniels: "As you wish, kitty."

I hear the sound of a drone flying down and I assume he hops onto it. Then he flies over to the wall I was hiding behind, only to see that I wasn't there.

Alpha Daniels: "What the...?"

Ratchet: "Surprise!"

He looks up to see me hiding higher up on the wall. I drop down on him and push him off of his drone before aiming my Lightning Rod. I fire at him and his drone, short-circuting his equipment as he's electrocuted a bit himself.

Alpha Daniels: "ARGH!"

I smirk as I switch to my Omni-Wrench and run at the man. I swing at him, landing a good hit on the man. However, he recovers and punches me in the jaw before kicking me away.

Alpha Daniels: "That was low, but smart. Too bad for you that my body armor still works."

I grunt in pain before Phantom Dashing away to avoid a stream of bullets. I had no time to fight back as Daniels kept on firing at me. I was planning on using my Negtron Collider on him, but he wasn't giving me any room to breathe.

Alpha Daniels: "Hahahahaha! This feels almost unfair!"

I take cover behind some rocks, but they were slowly being chipped away. I growl as I try to think of what to do.

Kit: "Ratchet, I'm almost done! Keep him occupied a little longer!"

Ratchet: "I'm trying!"

A yell in pain as a bullet pierces my left ear. I grab it in pain before flinching and pulling my hand away to reveal blood. My blood.

Ratchet: "Cra--"

Something lands by me, nabbing my attention. I turn my head to the sound, only to see a small metal orb rolling by as it flashed red more and more. It was a grenade.

Ratchet: "Shi--"

The grenade explodes and sends me flying back. I roll and skid across the ground, feeling scorched across my body as I roll towards the edge. I groan and try to push myself up, only to feel a foot to kick me closer to the edge. I look to see Daniels approaching me.

Alpha Daniels: "Man, who would've thought that me of all people would take you down when Nefarious couldn't."

Ratchet: "Wh-what re you talking... about?"

Alpha Daniels: "There's six of us Alphas in total, and I am number six. Didn't think you'd get taken down so easily."

Ratchet: "Well, one, I'm a bit rusty and tired from all the fighting. And two, ever been hit by a Negtron Collider?"

Alpha Daniels: "Nega-what now?"

Before Daniels could react, I pull out my Negtron Collider and fire it. The energy beam hits the man right in the chest and he's sent flying back and over the ledge on the other side of the mountain. I end the laser beam, looking at my work to see no Daniels and robot parts strewn about the temple. Wonderful.

I groan and push myself to my feet. Then I see KT-7461 run over to me with worry in her blue eyes.

Kit: "Ratchet! Are you okay?"

Ratchet: "I'm okay... What about the Monks?"

Kit: "They are fine now. We will be meeting them in Monktown to get back into the Archives."

Ratchet: "Alright, then. Let's get going."

Kit: "Are you sure? You are injured and bleeding. Maybe you should rest and--"

Ratchet: "No time. Now let's go."

KT slowly nods and I grab her. I place her on my back, wincing a bit from the pain before I blast off with my Hoverboots. However, a rift opens up and sucks us in and then spits us out... near Gary?

Gary: "Ah! You made it! Thank you for freeing my brothers."

Kit: "Gary, we need help getting to the Archives. It is urgent."

Gary: "Of course! Brothers! Let's grease some dimensional wheels!"

It only took a moment, but a rift suddenly opened up where the entrance to Monktown was. I could see the Archives on the other side.

Gary: "Entering the Archives takes a leap of faith, Ratchet. So you better get a running start!"

I nod and thank Gary before walking through the portal. I then activate my Hoverboots and increase my speed before going through another.

Kit: "Speed up, Ratchet!"

Ratchet: "Sure thing!

I increase my speed and rocket forward. We got through some more rifts before flying off a ramp, and I rift-tether towards the Archives in the distance. However, when me and KT get there, Nefarious Troopers were there to meet us.

Kit: "No! They are already here! They will destroy everything!"

Ratchet: "Not on my watch!"

I take out my Lightning Rod and open fire, keeping some Troopers in place with electricity before I blow them to pieces with my Burst Pistol. I keep on firing as I make my way towards the center of the platform on the Archives.

Kit: "The Archives run on a Helix Generator. If we turn it on, we can get inside!"

Ratchet: "One Helix Generator switch-flip, coming up!"

I switch to The Enforcer as I look around for the switch. I blast away more Nefarious Troopers who got in my way and even some dropships who were bringing in more Troopers. I had switched to my Shatterbombs since the robots were ganging up on me.

Kit: "Some of the things here are irreplaceable. The blueprints, the Dimensional Map..."

Ratchet: "Focus for now! We have to keep these guys back!"

Kit: "Right. Apologies."

I switch to my Negtron Collider and open fire with it. With it, it didn't take much longer until the robots were gone. So I put it away and ran towards a platform KT pointed me to. On it looked like some kind of bolt, so I took out my Omni-Wrench and grabbed the bolt with it. I begin twisting it around, moving things around on the Archives before I see two purple lasers fire at something at the top. Must be the generator.

Kit: "The generator is powering up! But it is still not at full capacity. We must get to the roof!"

Ratchet: "On it!"

I look around and find a jump pad that rose from the ground behind me. I run to it and jumped on it, sending me high into the air and I land on the roof. However, I'm immediately met with two large Nefarious Troopers. I groan and growl as I take out my Negtron Collider to fire at them.

It was hard fighting two at once since I had to constantly dodge and change to an easier weapon to use. What made it worse was when I took one of the Juggernaut's down, some more smaller Nefarious Troopers came in. And right when I'm running low on ammo, too! So I used my Omni-Wrench to bat the smaller Troopers away while keeping my bullets on the Juggernaut.

Thankfully, that tactic worked as the other Juggernaut fell with its comrades. I sigh and put away my gun, relieved that the fight was done for now. Then I look around for another bolt and find it which I run to and grab with my wrench. I begin twisting it which directly powered up the generator and lowered the shields guarding the entrance, which was another rift.

Kit: "There! The Archives are now open."

Ratchet: "Let's head inside!"

KT nods and I speed over to the rift. I thankfully enter through it without anything in my way and look around. I was in some huge hallway which led to some kind of machine at the end of it. As I walk towards it, KT glances over my shoulders and I notice a small device floating in the machine.

Kit: "Ah, good. The Dimensional Map is safe."

I walk forward and come to some kind of console. I instantly recognized the writing and KT hops off my back.

Ratchet: "I'd know this writing anywhere. The Lombaxes..." *runs hands along writing* "They must've built this. My dad was the keeper of the Dimensionator." *turns to Kit* "The original one, anyway."

I sigh as I shake my head.

Ratchet: "He gave everything to keep it out of the wrong hands... Heh. Sorry, Dad."

I see KT look at me in sympathy before looking around. Then back at me.

Kit: "Do you miss them? The Lombaxes?"

She begins scanning the console as I walk to the left.

Ratchet: "Kinda hard to miss someone you've never met... But, yeah. Yeah, I guess I do."

Kit: "I understand... Perhaps one day you will find them."

I turn to the small robot apprentice.

Ratchet: "Let's figure out if we can even build the Dimensionator first... Can we?"

KT finishes her scan and turns to me.

Kit: "Yes." *summons hologram of Dimensionator* "But the forge needed to do so is located at Kedaro Station, the most secured outpost in the galaxy."

Ratchet: "Then let's get moving, KT-74..."

As I try to recall KT's name, she calls out to me.

Kit: "Ratchet?"

"Hm?"

Kit: "... I think 'Kit' is my favorite."

I smile at this.

Ratchet: "Kit it is."

I smile at Kit and she smiles back, only for some rumbling from outside to catch our attention. We look at each other and nod. I run forward towards the rift as Kit jumps onto my magnet pack. When we get outside, I stop in my tracks and Kit jumps off from my back to look around. Our eyes widen in shock and horror. Nefarious ships were blasting the place apart.

Kit: "NO!"

Ratchet: "We gotta go!"

I grab the robot's arm to pull her away, but she simply yanked her arm from my hand.

Kit: "We must protect the Archives!"

More explosions rock the Archives.

Ratchet: "There's no time!"

I grab Kit's arm again to pull her away, but she barely budges from her spot. She then turns to me and pats my hand.

Kit: "It has been fun, Ratchet."

She then slipped her arm from my hold and began walking towards the edge of the Archives. I couldn't wrap my head around what she was doing. This was suicide! I had to save her!

So I ran to her to grab her and run away. However, I only grab air as Kit compartmentalizes herself like she does on my back. I try to grab her again, but I get sent flying back when she grows into two huge yellow legs. Then the top swivels around before before into a large torso with huge arms. I couldn't believe my eyes. She had turned herself into a giant warbot!

Kit raises her arms and two giant double-barreled cannons pop out from her wrists. She then fires a multitude of rocks, each hit blowing up the enemy ships. I couldn't believe my eyes! Still! And I cheered when Kit took care of the final ship.

Ratchet: "Wow! That was amazing!"

I step forward, only for Kit to turn to me and aim an arm cannon at me. I gasp before noticing her crimson red eyes, and I realize I may be in some big trouble.

There we go! We finally have the introduction for Kit and a member of the Alpha Task Force. Probably not the best fight I could've done and written, but I hope you liked it nonetheless. See ya!
