One Hour Earlier...

In a city with flying cars and robots walking on the sidewalks below, two Nefarious Troopers were patrolling the streets.

Nefarious Trooper #1: "Members of the Resistance, report to your nearest intake facility immediately. We promise nothing nefarious will befall you. We promise."

On the sidewalk, a terrified organic civilian was running away to hide from the Troopers. She passes and shoves last the robots and hides in an alleyway. The Troopers pass her as if she wasn't even there.

Nefarious Trooper #2: "Attention all Resistance members, report to the VIP section if your nearest intake facility for compulsory behavioral modification. It will be fun. Fun."

Behind the Troopers, a manhole cover gets lifted up and slides over on the walkway. Out of it pops a feline alien wearing a helmet that showed a digitalized face and a yellow robotic arm. She looks around before pulling herself up from the manhole and runs off. She calmly walks among the robots hovering or walking around on the sidewalks. Then someone begins to call her on her earpiece.

Resistance Member: *through earpiece* "Your suit seems to be working nicely. Blending riiight in."

The girl smiles under her helmet before spotting something in front of her.

Resistance Member: *through earpiece* "There's the assistant... and there is the Infobot."

The girl quietly sneaks up on the two before snatching the Infobot away. She silently runs off to an alleyway and hides.

Resistance Member: *through earpiece* "Masterful work. Now get out of there and decrypt that thing."

The girl in armor presses a button and deactivates the Infobot. She then runs off as the assistant realizes that the Infobot was gone. The robot runs around, ordering Troopers to find it.

As the Resistance member runs, she looks up to the sky to see a giant centipede-like robot flying above her. A searchlight was on, looking for anyone that could have the Infobot. Good thing she looked like a robot and she hid the Infobot.

However, the flying robotic centipede spotted the fleeing citizen from before. It sends a Nefarious Trooper after her, making her run away in fear. The girl in armor stops when she sees it.

Resistance Member: *through earpiece* "Go, go, go! Your ship is up ahead!"

The girl in armor looks in front of her and then back to the terrified civilian. Her helmet then turns red as it shows an angry face, and she chases after the Trooper and civilian. The Resistance member talking to her questions what she was doing, but the girl didn't listen as she chased after the Trooper.

With the civilian, she trips over her own feet in terror and falls. The Nefarious Trooper laughs as he closes in on her and prepares his laser cannons. However, the girl in armor runs up to the Trooper and leaps into the air, taking out an Omni-Hammer and slamming it into his head. The attack smashes its glass, dome-like head and crumples its body.

The Trooper falls to the ground behind the shaking civilian, defeated. The civilian looks behind her and then at her savior, still shaking. The girl walks up to her and puts her hand out to comfort the civilian.

?????: "Hey, hey. It's okay. See?"

She takes her helmet off, revealing her light colored fur and blue eyes.

"Just me."

The Lombax girl smiles at the civilian, easing her as she stands and smiles.

Civilian: "Rivet?"

Rivet: "Ssshh! I gotta go, but here." *hands over helmet* "It'll help you get home. I designed it to be one size fits all, so it should--"

Civilian: "Thank you!"

Rivet only smiles and winks at the civilian. Then she turns to run to her ship, passing a red wanted poster with her face on it. The Lombax girl spots a gathering of Nefarious Troopers and goes to run the other way, only for the centipede robot to find her. She sighs as the Troopers spot her.

However, she quickly runs off to avoid the Troopers. They give chase at the Emperor's Assistant's orders, running and flying after Rivet. She jumps around and fires her Burst Pistol at them. She takes out a few and begins running across roofs, jumping rooftop to rooftop to avoid the Nefarious Troopers.

She kept running before she dropped down into an alleyway and hide in a dumpster. Cautiously peeking out from under the lid, the Lombax watches as the Troopers look around for her before passing her and leaving. Rivet sighs in relief and hops out of the dumpster, looking around before running off again.

After more running, Rivet jumps onto a rooftop and leans against a vent box. She pants from exhaustion before she sees a bright flash of purple light in the sky above. She looks to see portals bursting from the sky and throwing out things she's never seen before. Then another, smaller one opens up and shoots out a figure who starts getting knocked around by the hover-vehicles before slamming into the building next to the one she was on.

She gasps in shock before she watches the feline humanoid drop from the wall and to the ground. She giggles a bit before flipping down to the ground and landing with ease.

Rivet notices that the guy who crashed into the ground was getting back up, so she walks up to him and offers her hand.

Rivet: "Hey. You okay?"

The newcomer looks up at her, and both of their eyes go wide. They couldn't believe what they were seeing.

"Another Lombax?"

Present Time...

Rivet and Y/n look at each other in shock as Y/n stands to his feet. Rivet lowers her arm as she and the former prisoner stare at each other. Rivet's never seen another Lomnax before, and Y/n's never seen a Lombax other than his father and twin sister. Neither could believe their eyes.

Then Byte barks, snapping Y/n out of his trance and shakes his head. He looks at Rivet before smirking and placing a hand on his hip.

Y/n: "Hi~"

Rivet snaps out of her trance as well and shakes her head.

Rivet: "Uh... h-hi?"

Y/n: "What's a pretty thing like you doing here in a place like--What's with all the neon?"

Y/n's attention goes from Rivet and to the city lights. Everything was so bright and... neon.

Rivet: "Right. I don't exactly know."

Y/n: "Hm. Oh, hey! A robot!"

Rivet: "Huh?"

Y/n jogs over to an armless robot with an antenna on his head. The Lombax picks him up, alerting the robot.

Small Robot: "Hey! Hey! What are you doing?!"

Y/n: "Cool. You can talk."

Small Robot: "Wait, who are you?"

Y/n: "I'm Y/n L/n, and this is Byte."

Byte barks happily in response.

Clank: "Well... I am Clank, and--"

Clank stops when he looks around. He sees that his arm was missing and hears a screech in the distance. His eyes droop.

Clank: "The Dimensionator... What have I done?"

Y/n: "Dimensionator...?"

Rivet: "What have you done?"

Y/n and Clank turn to a confused Rivet who walked up to them.

Clank: "Who are you? Wait... two Lombaxes?"

Rivet: "I'm someone with a lot of questions. For both of you. Let's go for a ride."

She snatched Clank from Y/n's hands, making him cry out in protest before he gets latched onto Rivet's magnet pack on her back. She begins to run off and turns to Y/n.

Rivet: "Hey, Charmer! Try to keep up!"

Y/n: "Wha--? Hey! Wait!"

Y/n runs after Rivet as Clank says something about finding his friend.

Meanwhile...

In some kind of office/throne room, a robot with a green dome on his head groans as he pushes himself up. This was Dr. Nefarious, and his head was killing him.

Dr. Nefarious: "Where am--"

The robotic madman stands up to see two Nefarious Troopers. They look at him in shock before saluting him.

Dr. Nefarious: "... I?

He then looks around to see golden statues of himself in the room. He couldn't believe his eyes.

Dr. Nefarious: "It's me? It's me!"

He jumps and clicks his heels as he stands on a statue before jumping around the room gleefully. He keeps on declaring how his plan worked, a victorious smile plastered on his metal face. He then walks up to a desk where the assistant robot from before looked at him in shock.

Emperor's Assistant: "Emperor Nefarious, you have returned early from your conquest!"

With evil glee in his eyes, Nefarious walks over to the lush red chair behind the desk.

Dr. Nefarious: "Yes... Emperor!"

He plops down on the chair and begins laughing his head off. His "assistant" begins to laugh with him, albeit nervously as she didn't exactly know what was going on.

Meanwhile... (Ratchet's POV)

My entire body ached as I pushed myself to my feet. I looked around, seeing rifts opening and closing all across the sky. I then remembered that the Dimensionator blew up on that rooftop... and that Clank wasn't with me!

Ratchet: "Clank? Clank! Where are you?!"

A red poster flew by my face and I grabbed it. Taking a close look at it, I see...

Ratchet: "A Lombax...? What is this place?"

I look around before deciding to go find Clank. I run forward up some stairs and tell myself that someone has to have seen him somewhere. I continue running, hearing someone talking about a dragon, but I ignore him and continue on.

I soon reach a lift and take it up to see a huge bazaar in the middle of the city. Bright, neon lights flashed and a huge statue of a buffer Nefarious stood in the center of it all. I couldn't believe my eyes!

Nefarious City PA: "Welcome to Nefarious City Bazaar! Please remember to thank our marvelous Emperor before, during, and after making a purchase."

Ratchet: "Emperor?! Does that mean... there are two Nefariouses now?"

No, I can't think about this right now. I have to find Clank!

I run forward and hover down to the bazaar area. Looking around, I see some kind of booth nearby. And out of it walked... Ms. Zurkon?!

Ms. Zurkon: "Hey, Lombax! You forgot your order? Well come right in."

She hovers over to me and drags me over to her booth, making me confused about the whole situation. Then she looked around before turning back to me.

Ms. Zurkon: "Ms. Zurkon will sell you weapons, but you gotta be less conspicuous or the Resistance will not last."

Ratchet: "Resistance...?"

Ms. Zurkon winks as if I knew what she was talking about. I didn't, and it was plain on my face. Thankfully, Ms. Zurkon caught on.

Ms. Zurkon: "Oooooh! Apologies, sugar. Ms. Zurkon is still nee to all this... espionage. I--"

"Halt! Release the hostages!"

Me and Ms. Zurkon turn to see two floating robots with dome heads chasing after that Lombax I saw on that poster and some guy with cybernetics I didn't recognize. The guy had some kind of small robot on his back... and that Lombax had Clank!

However, before I could react, one of the robots knocked me to the ground. I shook my head and saw that the Lombax took out a Burst Pistol and the cyborg guy took out some kind of rifle covered in graffiti.

Cyborg Guy: "I hate these things! DIE! HAHAHA! BOLT BUCKETS!"

He and the Lombax open fire on the robots and destroy them as a ship lands behind them. Once finished with the robots, the Lombax jumps into the ship with the cyborg following her.

Lombax: "H-hey! Watch the hands!"

Cyborg Guy: "Hey, it's a small ship. Not much room here."

The ship flies off and I panicked. I ran back over to Ms. Zurkon.

Ratchet: "I need to go after that ship! How can I get off-planet?"

Ms. Zurkon: "This a test? Only royal starships are allowed to leave. Anything else--"

A laser blast startles me and Zurkon. We both look to the sky before back at each other.

Ms. Zurkon: "But the Phantom can help! Just follow the beat to Club Nefarious and you will find him."

Ratchet: "Club Nefarious, got it."

I turn to leave, only to turn back quickly to thank Zurkon before leaving. I run off, pondering on what Club Nefarious sounded like and where it was. However, I soon hear the sound of crazy music and smile, following it since this could the club Ms. Zurkon told me about.

Meanwhile... (Rivet's POV)

Once I got the starship up in the air, I make sure I got that other Lombax to stay on the other side of the ship with that robot he found. When he made out of the atmosphere, I put on the autopilot as the small robot spoke up.

Small Robot: "So where are we going?"

Rivet: "Sargasso. But it'll take some time, so we have some time." *turns to Lombax and robot* "So in the meantime, you two are gonna explain who you are and how you got here. Capeesh?"

Clank: "Fair enough. I am Clank, and I am from another dimension."

Cyborg Lombax and Rivet: "Another dimension? Cool!/What?"

Clank: "I helped rebuild this device called the Dimensionator that could open gateways to alternate dimensions for my friend, Ratchet, who is a Lombax like you two. However, a man called Dr. Nefarious stole it from us and we fought to get it back. We did, but it blew up and now... all dimensions are in danger."

Rivet: "Wait, so you're telling me that there's this kind of multiverse?"

Clank: "Theoretically, yes. I believe our other Lombax friend here is also from another dimension."

I nod and think to myself. I couldn't believe it! A whole multiverse. And that meant I can find other Lombaxes! But first...

Rivet: *to Cyborg Lombax* "Now you. So... who are you and what can you do?"

Cyborg Lombax: "Well, tell me who you are first, sweetheart."

I click my teeth and try to hide a blush.

Rivet: "I'm Rivet. Now answer my question."

Y/n: "Alright, alright. Don't get your tail in a knot. I'm a jack-of-all-trades, master of few. Call me Y/n L/n."

The Lombax, Y/n, winks at me with a smirk as he leans on the back wall of the ship. I roll my eyes and turn my attention to the robot that he had sat down, and it was sitting next to Clank like an excited puppy.

Rivet: "What's with the other robot?"

Y/n: "Byte. He's my partner. Though, he's kinda damaged. I have to get him fixed.'

Byte barks at this and I look at him.

Y/n: "Now, are you done yet? Can we go?"

Turn back to Y/n.

Rivet: "Nope. You still need to answer some questions, mister!"

Y/n looks at me with boredom in his eyes before he looks at Byte who shrugs. Then he looks back at me.

Y/n: "Alright, I didn't want to do this, but you left me no choice. Here comes The Look."

Rivet: "'The Look'?"

Y/n immediately makes the cutest face he could, similar to the look a pet uses when it wants something, and held his tail in his hands as he looked at me. However, I only look at him blankly before backhanding him with my robotic arm.

Y/n: "OW!"

Nefarious City Bazaar... (Ratchet's POV)

Okay, so I found the club Ms. Zurkon told me about and Phantom. However, it turned out he was Skidd! I couldn't believe it!

But my shock couldn't last long since some robots chased after him, and I followed after them.

I shot at the robots chasing Phantom and chase after him, calling out to him. However, he brushed me off when I told him my name, saying stuff about "not blowing cover" and stuff about the Resistance.

WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK I'M WITH THEM?! I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO THEY ARE!

I continue chasing after him and blasting robist to bits, getting cornered once or twice, too. But I made it of there just fine and continued after Phantim still. Then we made it to some bridge where two more robots that looked more advanced than the others.

Ratchet: "Oh, boy... I'll handle this, Phantom! You just get to safety!"

Phantim doesn't respond as he runs past the robots as I take out my Shatterbombs. I throw him at the robots and blow them to bits before I take out The Enforcer just as more robots came in. I easily shot them to scrap metal, and Phantom walked up to me.

Phantom: "Nice work, new guy."

Ratchet: "Thanks!"

I get shushed and Phantom grabs my hand. I asked if it was some kind of handshake, only for a glove to appear on my hand from nowhere! I look at it in shock and ask Phantom about it. He responds by seemingly phasing through some kind of force field in front of us.

Phantom: "Alright, new guy. Try out your Phantom Dash."

Ratchet: "Phantom Dash?"

I look at the glove before at the force field. I then run at it and imagine passing through it, and I did! It was incredible!

Phantom: "The enemy can't catch what temporarily doesn't exist."

I laugh a bit before chasing Phantom, following him past some ledges which we Phantom Dash over. Then I follow his actions on some kind of panel and run across it. I asked him about finding a starship, but he told me to be quiet and even mentioned that Lombax girl that had Clank! So I did until we came across a rooftop.

Phantom: "I'm gonna make you a deal. See that blimp?"

He points to the sky and I see the large blimp he was talking about.

Phantom: "You help me take control of it, and I'll help you get into Nefarious Tower. It's the only place in the city your gonna find a royal starship."

Ratchet: "What's so special about the blimp?"

Phantom: "Just find a way up to that rooftop. I gotta grab my gear, but I'll meet you up there."

He walks away, leaving me by myself. How was I supposed to get to that rooftop all the way over there?!

Y'know what? I'll figure it out. Let's just see what I can do.

Timeskip...

After running from rooftop to rooftop and destroying some robots, which I heard from some citizens where called Nefarious, I finally made it to the rooftop Phantom told me about, but I had to get up to it by an elevator first.

Phantom: *through comms* "So you made it after all. Impressive."

Ratchet: "Wait, you can see me? Where are you? You got my starship ready?"

Phantom: *through comms* "You'll get it, don't you worry. I just need you to help with one last threat. The Nefarious Day Spa."

When the elevator stopped, I walked off and looked around. Seriously? A spa?! What kind of threat was this?!

Phantom: *through comms* "If you can distract those Troopers..."

Oh, I see the threat now.

"... I'll hack Nefarious' propaganda blimp and give this city a message it'll never forget."

I sigh and begin attacking the Nefarious Troopers. As I did, Phantom began his speech as he hacked the blimp.

Phantom: *through blimp PA* "Citizens of Nefarious City! This is the voice of the Resistance. This is the voice of truth. And the truth is, we need to talk."

I switch to The Enforcer and continue firing at the Troopers.

Phantom: *through blimp PA* "The Resistance is a growing force of citizens who are sick and tired of your diabolical dictatorship."

I switch over to my Shatterbombs and throw the explosives at the robots. They blow up into pieces, shrinking their force one by one. I then took out my Burst Pistol and opened fire at farther away enemies. Then I take out The Enforcer and blow more enemies away.

The entire time I was fighting, Phantom was thinking as he watched. Then he continued.

Phantom: *through blimp PA* "You know what? Forget the Code. Actions speak louder than words."

I see that no more Troopers were coming, so I smile and jump up to the platform Phantom was on. He turns to me with a smirk.

Phantom: "Wow. Where'd you learn how to--"

Out of nowhere, a giant flying centipede robot flew by and blew up the blimp Phantom was using. However, he only laughed.

Phantom: "Looks like I touched a nerve." *turns to Ratchet* "Alright. A deal's a deal."

He hands me some kind of device and I take it. A hologram showed up showing some kind of spider robot.

Phantom: "That's Glitch. She'll help you get onto the Emperor's private shuttle to the tower. Access console's in that huge statue of Nefarious in the center of the city."

He walks over to the ledge and points over at a giant golden statue of who I assumed to the the real Emperor Nefarious.

"Just hook her up, and she'll handle the rest."

I then realize he was about to jump!

Ratchet: "What're you doing?!"

Phantom: "Tearing this whole rotten world down from the inside."

He salutes me and falls backwards and I panic, only to see that he was being pulled up and hoisted away by two Troopers. He tells me to stay strong as he's pulled away.

Ratchet: "How'd he expect me to get to the bazaar from here?"

I then noticed a large bolt that I could turn, so I take out my Omni-Wrench and turn the bolt. A giant rail rises from below and I smirk at it.

Ratchet: "That'll work."

I run to it and ride it all the way down as I think over my plan. All I had to do was get to the statue, use Glitch, get a starship, and find Ckank on Sargasso. Easy enough.

I eventually make it to the statue to see robots bowing before it. Ms. Zurkon was telling me about some Spybot she had somewhere, so I figured I should find it. Could be useful.

Suddenly, a giant Nefarious Trooper crashed down in front of the statue and blew everyone back.

Nefarious Juggernaut: "Cutting in line is against the law!"

Ratchet: "Where did you come from?!"

It begins opening fire one me and I find some cover behind a pillar. I quickly switch to my Shatterbombs and run from cover, throwing the bombs at the robot which damaged it a quite a bit. Then I pulled out The Enforcer, only for a rift to open up and suck me in.

I get shot out into another dimension with rich green plants all around. I looked around in awe before another rift opens up and the Nefarious Juggernaut comes out of it. It instantly kills my mood.

Nefarious Juggernaut: "I'm so happy that you survived the journey! Now die."

Ratchet: "Ah, come on!"

I manage to dodge and jump over the lasers the Juggernaut shot at me and fired The Enforcer. It cracks its armor before I take out my Shatterbombs and throw them. They do a lot of significant damage to the robot before I switch back to my Burst Pistole.

After shooting it a bit more, we both get sucked into another rift. We end up right back at the bazaar and the Juggernaut fires an amethyst laser from his chest. I run from it before changing to The Enforcer, finally finishing the robot off with a few mire shots. I sigh as I put my gun away.

Ratchet: "There... Now I can finally plug Glitch into this access console."

I run over to it and take out the device Phantom gave me. I press a button and Glitch shows up.

Ratchet: "Ah, hi! You must be... Glitch. I'm Ratchet."

Her face turns red and she scowls as she turns away.

Ratchet: "Sorry for all the jostling around earlier. Things aren't exactly going well and... Actually, I think you're the only one who can help me right now."

Glitch looks at me like she's thinking as her face changes colors. Then she smiles and winks at me, telling me that she'll help. I thank her and plug her into the console. It only takes a few moments before the device beeps and I pull it out just as a door opens. I walk to it as Glitch appears.

Ratchet: "You did it, Glitch!"

She smiles at me before retreating back into her... home? I'll call it her home.

I pocket Glitch again and walk up to an elevator that brings me up. A voice begins talking about welcoming someone, who I assumed who she thought to be the Emperor. Then the lift gets covered in an orange glass dome and I get rocketed off towards Nefarious Tower.

Timeskip...

Not long after, I make it to Nefarious Tower and arrive at a room of some kind. I look around as I approach a desk with a bunch of monitors behind it. I then find a giant door and smile, thinking it would lead me to the hangar bay. However, a familiar voice caught my attention.

"Deathtraps, warbots..."

I recognized the voice as Dr. Nefarious'. So I take out my Omni-Wrench as I approach the desk... and Nefarious.

Dr. Nefarious: "... five planet-destroying cannons, and a surveillance state covering the entire city!"

As he was distracted, I silently hop onto the desk and prepares my Omni-Wrench.

Dr. Nefarious: *sits down* "If only that blasted Dimensionator still worked..."

I prepare to swing, only to spot one of the monitors. It showed Clank with the two from before. However...

Ratchet: "Clank... and two Lombaxes?"

I couldn't believe it! Not just one but two Lombaxes! But why didn't Phantom tell me about--

"Huh?!"

Nefarious turns to face me and we look at each other. Then I shush him before hitting him with my wrench. He gets sent flying to the side and an alarm suddenly goes off. I turn to see the entrance door opening to see Nefarious Troopers charging in and I immediately make a mad dash to the other door.

Dr. Nefarious: *enraged* "After him! NOWWWWWWW!!!"

I narrowly evade laser fire from the Troopers and make it to the hangar bay I predicted. I spot a lone starship and make my way to it, hopping inside the cockpit and pressing some buttons to close the hatch.

Ratchet: "I'm coming, Clank!"

I press a few more buttons, activating the engine and thrusters, only for them to shut off almost immediately. I panic and get angry as the Troopers get close before the ships system asks me for the password. I looked around for anything that can help me before seeing a red card that had the password on it. I grab it and read it aloud.

Ratchet: "Password? Why would I need a password? I'm the Emperor! How about I obliterate you instead? Hahahahahah!"

Before anything else happens, the engine and thrusters turn on and the starship shoots forward. I whoop and yell in victory as I leave the tower in the dust. And the last I heard from Nefarious was...

"BRING ME THAT LOMBAAAAAAAXXX!!!!"
