Day 1

It was almost Dean's birthday and Cas had gotten him nothing. He didn't know what to get Dean and he was flat broke anyways. The poor angel didn't know what to do and yes, he'd thought about talking to Sam about his dilemma but he had been told, on many occasions, to deal with his own problems and he was trying to do that so asking the younger Winchester was out of the question.

After stressing over it all for quite a while, the angel finally decided on something. He knew Dean liked sweets, pie especially, so Castiel planned to go see his archangel brother who was known for the numerous sweets he had. Gabriel. Since Cas was his brother, he figured Gabriel wouldn't expect any sort of payment from him so up to heaven he flew on his way to find Gabe.

Once in heaven, Castiel began calling out to his older brother. "Gabriel! Gabe where are you?!"

"Here" Gabe said in a playful tone as he appeared in front of the trench-coated angel. "Still wearing that old thing huh? Have you even washed it?" Cas shot him a hard glare, causing the archangel to snort with laughter. "So what ya want? I know you didn't call me just to catch up, so you must want something."

"As a matter of fact, I do." Castiel replied, trying not to sound as annoyed as he was in the moment.

"Well then little bro" Gabriel sighed out, putting one leg across his lap and making himself float, "What exactly do you want from me? Me? Really? What could I possibly have that you want so badly you'd come to heaven and risk getting caught for huh?" Gabe finished as he folded his arms across his chest and stared up at his brother with a pair of bright hazel eyes.

"It's just...Dean's birthday is coming up and I don't know what to get him...and I'm..I'm broke. So yeah.." Cas flashed his large blue eyes at the other angel for a moment before staring down at his feet, ashamed of the fact that he just wasn't a good angel to begin with and he'd let his friends down so many times and now he couldn't even buy his best friend something for his birthday. And he hated himself for it. For all of it.

The older angel flicked his hazel eyes to the ground just as his younger brother had done and sighed. "Oh. I figured it had something to do with those two dingdongs but bro I'm sorry.. I should've said this sooner but I'm broke too.. I mean do you really think I'd be spending my time up here if I had money? I honestly hate it here it's just where I keep my sweets safe."

Castiel had been dreading to ask this the whole time but he knew he had to give it a shot. "Your sweets..um.. do you.. do you think I could maybe-" Gabe cut him off. "Nope no way. NO WAY are you giving any of my sweets to them. Never."

And of course, Cas got the answer he'd predicted he would receive. Gabriel was just as protective over his sweet stash as Dean was over Baby.

"Well alright then. Guess I'll just find some other way. Thanks for at least trying to help." Castiel gave a small smile and disappeared.

Gabriel felt a bit of guilt rise in his gut, but he swallowed hard and ignored it as he flew away.

*Later That Day*

------------------------------------------------------------

Cas had tried to find another way to get something for Dean but there was literally nothing he could find without a price tag on it. "Dammit why is this so hard!!" Castiel shouted as he pulled out his angel blade in frustration and plunged it furiously through a nearby wall.

The frustrated angel quickly paced back and forth, breathing deeply in and out as he tried to calm down. "Okay Cas, okay what would the Winchesters do..?" He asked himself. "Think...think!" Suddenly it came to him and a wide, mischievous smirk drew across his face.

There was a flutter of wings and then Cas was in heaven again. "Alright Gabe.." he whispered, wandering around. "Now where is your sweet stash hiding..?"

After finding Gabe's section of heaven, Cas began scanning the area. There were disco lights on the ceiling and a heart shaped bed with red drape curtains sitting in one side of the room. One of Gabriel's illusion girls was asleep in the bed so he had to be extremely quiet. As the angel continued scanning the room, he noticed several boxes under the bed. Silently he crept over and pulled one out, opening it. It was filled to the brim with candy, pie, and a bunch of other sweet stuff. "Jackpot." Cas grabbed the whole box and zapped back down to earth.

"Man I was lucky no one noticed.." Cas said quietly, pleased with himself, and just in time for the party. As the adorable angel was walking inside the bunker to greet his friends, someone shoved him forward, causing him to fall through the slightly ajar bunker door. The someone was Gabriel and he tackled Cas, grabbing the box back. He then snapped his fingers and everything around Castiel grew bigger and bigger. Or.. no, could it be? Cas was getting smaller! "That's what happens when you mess with the trickster little bro." Gabe said smugly. He glanced up and realized that the Winchesters had seen everything.

"What the Hell Gabe?!" Sam and Dean shouted in unison. Gabriel sighed, knowing he'd have to explain at least a little.

"I'll say this. Your pretty boy angel over here stole my sweet stuff." He stated gesturing to the box. Now the Winchesters had their attention to Cas who was no taller than an IPhone at the moment.

"Okay then...." Dean said, confused. "Look can you just turn him back to normal and how's about we all put this behind us huh?"

"Uh nope little bro is gettin' punished. Lemme just explain this in a way that you'd understand better. So imagine Cas just coming to your place and stealing that Impala out there. Now are we at an understanding?"

Dean glanced around before meeting Gabe's eyes and nodding slowly.

"Good. Now, I'm the only thing that can reverse this spell I've placed on the little one." Gabriel said, picking up Castiel. "So don't even try hittin' the books for this one because it won't do any good."

"Fine." Dean huffed out, trying to hide the relief in his voice. Sam cleared his throat. "So uh how long are you keeping this spell on him?"

"A week." Gabriel blurted as if it were the most obvious answer in the world.

"Excuse me, did you just say a week?" Dean asked, bewildered, already seeing the difficulty in having to keep up with the tiny angel for that long. Hell they lost regular sized Cas before just like that on a daily basis, how in the world were they gonna keep track of a small version? For a whole week on top of that?

The archangel groaned and put Cas down. "Are you deaf? Yes I said a week."

Dean felt a wave of anger rush over him. "Gabriel you son of a bitch!! How are we supposed to keep up with him that long?! We are hunters and there are people who need saving I mean we can't sit here babysitting him all day!! We have work to do!"

Gabe only laughed, brushing his hair back. "I never told you to be his babysitter Dean. And besides, wasn't babysitting him half of your 'work' already? He's just tiny now. If anything it'll be easier to take care of him."

As Dean calmed down, Sam piped up. "You're his brother...any suggestions on what we can do with him while we're out hunting this week? He's too small to fight and we don't wanna risk getting him killed. We've got enough blood on our hands as it is."

Gabriel smirked at Sam, wiggled his eyebrows twice, and disappeared, not saying a word.

"Dammit!" Dean shouted. "Hey hey calm down." Sam soothed, placing a hand on Dean's shoulder. "We've lived through worse right?"

Dean composed himself. "Yeah you're right." The brothers walked up the steps of the bunker until they met face-to-face with mini Cas. "Heya Cas." Dean said.

"Happy Birthday Dean!" Castiel cried out as he handed over a lollipop that looked huge in the angel's small hands.

"How'd you get that?"

"Snuck it behind my back when Gabe wasn't looking. Sorry I couldn't get you pie.." Dean picked up the angel by his trenchcoat and held him in his palm. "It's alright Cas. We have other things to worry about right now." Dean said softly as he looked towards Sam with bewilderment.
