Marshal's POV

I woke up in my room, it was half filled with boxes and half decorated already. I tried to get up but realized that I have a couple of arms wrapped around me. I turned over and saw Raymond. "Ray, I gotta get up, Sulky" he groaned and let me go. I stood up and went outside to check my mailbox. When I was outside, I saw on the porch that there was a little basket with a card and a few items.

I walked back inside and set the basket on the sidetable and opened the note.

"From Y/n and Yoshi,
Dear Marshal,
                           We both would like to welcome you to Hamilville! As you probably know, Raymond is also new here. I(Yoshi) figured that you two would be best friends! So here we are! I hope you enjoy your time here.

I read to myself and smiled. "Who's that from?" I heard Raymond say from behind me. "Oh, no one. Just Y/n and Yoshi." I smiled to myself and turned around. "Speaking of something else, what happened and why are you in my house, Sulky?" He sat up and ruffled my hair.

"Wellll, we got coffee, you wanted help with unpacking so I came over, we ended up just re-watching Those People (cause it's the best movie ever for those who have Hulu-) about 4 times, and I guess we just ended up falling asleep if I were to guess".

I looked back to the basket that the letter was in and I looked at what was inside. "Huh, a golden rose."I tilted my head, a bit cofused why I was given this. "Every new islander gets one, at least I got one." Raymond said from beside me. "Oh... Okay then" I got up and only now do I realize that I'm wearing a hoodie, not mine. "Uhm..."

"Oh , yeah.. You got cold so I gave you my hoodie that I had in my bag.."

"Totoro?"

"Of course Totoro! He's my favorite... besides Brendon Urie, but that's a different story."

"Good grief, Ray" I rolled my eyes jokingly and sat back down next to him.

"You're fluffy, Marsh" Raymond pet my ears

"So are you, Sulky"

"But not as fluffy as you!"

I turned a bit red, barely visible due to my fur though.

"I see you blushing, don't think that I can't." He teased

"Sh-Shut up!"

"Nope."

"I hate you"

"Don't hate me just yet, Marsh." He booped me on the nose as he got up. "Oh shut it, Sulky"

Later....

"aCK- Flick! Flick hold on!" I chased after the dragon like friend of mine. "Oh, heya Marshal! I didn't know you moved here."

"Hold on, I need your help"

"With what?" He put his bug net in his backpack and turned back to me.

"How do you know if you're like.... gay? or Bi?"

"May I ask why you need to know this information?" He raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms, smirking at me.

"I think I might be...? I don't really know honestly."

"Follow me!" Flick grabbed my arm and pulled me to his boat that he had rented a while back when he started looking for his ' soul bug ' . Moving on, he sat me down and I noticed a varitey of different colored flags in a basket. "Okay, here" he handed my his laptop. "An ' Are You Gay Quiz ' ? Seriously?"

"Well, here's the problem, you dress like a hoodie Bi, and dress like a flannel Pan at the same time. So here's what I'll ask you; Do you like girls?"

"Yeah."

"What about guys?"

"Mhm"

"Everyone else?"

"Eh"

"Soooo..."

" 'So' what?"

"So you're Bi!"

"Bisexual?"

"Uh, that's a whole other can a' worms for another day, I gotta go and find out where the bug catching spot is!" Flick pulled me out of the boat before tossing me two flags, a large one, and a smaller one. "Enjoy!"

"Uhmmm... Okay?"

"See ya, Marshal!"

"Bye Flick!"

I went back to my house and put up the larger flag above my bed. "Huh, must be the Bi flag." I looked at the colors; Pink, purple, and a slightly dark shade of blue. I put the smaller flag on my sidetable and headed outside.

I headed to go find wherever Raymond would be. I ended up bumping into someone while I was running, toppling over them. I felt a set of arms grab me, breaking my fall. When I opened my eyes, I realized that I'd tripped over someone, and that someone had caught me before I fell to the ground. "Uhm, hiya there, Sucker." I head a deep voice say from behind me as I was freed from this persons grasp. "Don't go fallin' for me jus' yet there, new kid." The octopus said, as another walked next to him, the other looked terrified.

"O-Octavian stop it" The other one said, he hid behind the one who'd caught me. "This here 's Zucker, isn't that right baby boy?" "M-Mhm" he mumbled "And I'm Octavian! Who are you?"

"The name's Marshal. Cool to meet ya an' all, but I gotta go find a....... friend"

"Oh well, your loss. See ya, Sucker!"

I continued to search for Raymond until I made the obvious desicion of checking his house. The lights are off but the door is unlocked...
weird...

I opened the door and heard a shuffling noise. "Ray? Raymond? You here?"

I saw Raymond walk out of his room. His fur was ruffled up, but whatever. "I've been looking everywhere for you, Sulky!" I hugged him. "I was uh.... I-I was taking a nap. N-No need to worry, M-Marsh!"

"Mkay, you can go back to sleep now, just come to my place when you wake up, promise?"

"P...Promise."

"Good, see ya later, Ray!"

"B-Bye, Marsh..."

I walked outside and saw Yoshi near the Residential Services area, pacing nervously. "Yoshi? Are you okay?"

"No! I'm not okay, Marshal! I've been looking for Bob and Raymond all day! And I can't find either of them!"

"For Bob, did you try-"

"Yes! I checked his house! I checked Raymond's house too, but the door was locked when I went over!"

"Relax, Yosh! I was just over there checking on him. He was taking a nap."

"Why? What did you do to him?"

"Pardon?"

"I know he spent the night at your house last night so maybe-" Yoshi smirked

"Oh my god, Yoshi no. The two of us just met-"

"So? Ever heard a' love at first sight?"

"It's for suckers."

"At least it used to be~~" They sang along to the song they'd been refrencing.

"Oh my god, no"

"Hehe"

I rolled my eyes.

"Anyways, where do you suppose Bob could be?"

"Did you try every area where a lazy person would chilax at?"

"Mhm!"

"Well then I suppose he could be-"

"Wait... didn't you say that Raymond was 'Taking a nap' ?"

"Uh yeah?"

"You don't suppose"

"BRO, YOSHI, NO"

"Calm down, Marshal!!"

Meanwhile...

Octavian's POV

I was laying down in the grass, with Zucker next to me, reading a book or something. I heard Bubblegum K.K. playing on the radio next to us. That song and Stale Cupcakes are usually the only songs that play in the picnic area.

But the breeze sure felt nice.
