Rey was holding a baby lion cub in her arms , its mother had rejected it and New York Zoo called them asking if they would like to take it.

"Hi baby" Rey rocked it gently and then the cub yawned , she instantly smiled at the cub and wrapped it in the blanket.

"Woah-" Ben said taking a seat next to her .

"This is a two month old baby lion cub... it's female and soon she's gonna learn to train and do big tricks ! Huh?" Rey asked and the cub purred in her arms .

"What's it's name ?"

"Well ... she doesn't have a name yet... how about you name her ?" Rey said .

"Okay..." Ben looked at the cub, "Delta ?" He asked .

"One of the zebras is named delay it has to be one of a kind" she said.

"Farrah ?" He suggested .

Rey smiled softly "Farrah it is... huh?" Rey smiled and then kissed the cub . "Here you hold her I have to get some more formula-"

The power then shut off and the cub began to cry. Ben rocked it in his arms as Rey turned on her phone's flash light.

"The storm" she sighed and rolled her eyes "here ... you keep an gets on her and I'll go out to the circuit room to check -"

"It's raining and you're -"

"Luke had me do this all the time Ben don't sweat it now you either keep ahold of her or you come with me" she folded her arms over her chest in a smirk .

It had been about 30 minutes into the rain and she hadn't come back yet. Ben grabbed his coat and an umbrella then ran out to the electric house to see if she was okay.

He dashed and opened the door "Ben don't close-" and by the time he was in the door was closed .
"It" she sighed and slumped down .

"What's wrong?" Ben asked.

"It's electronic ... that song won't open unless the power is on... and the power is off due to the storm..." she sounded tired and desperate.

"Well lets get comfy then cause this storm isn't letting up any time soon" he replied and sat down .

"What do you even see in Hux ?" Ben asked .

Rey looked up and gave him a face "what ?" She asked.

"I mean, what's so special about him? What did he do?"

"He's my old friend for one -" Rey began.

"So is Finn yet you're not dating him" Ben replied.

"Finn's gay" Rey shook her head with a slight laugh.

"Well... he's rude, and he seems pushy" Ben said them looked at a corner .

"And Bazine isn't?" Rey asked crossing her legs to sit criss cross.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"She's rude to me and your mother .. she disrespects Circe all the time ... not to mention the fact she treats you like shit and she kinda hinted that she's only in this for the money"

"Bet you know all about that" he huffed.

"What does that mean?" Rey asked her eyebrows knitting together .

"It just means I read that letter ... from The First Order"

"You had no right to-" she began .

"You're thinking about leaving this show that you care so much for so you can get a lead and fuck the ring leader" he shook his head.

"Ben -"

"It's a pay increase ... you want a pay increase fine you have it... I'll pay you double - no triple the amount you make already" he said.

"That's really -"

"Or to lead ? We're starting a new show soon you can lead that ... you won't be just some silk girl anymore . You can lead ... wanna a big dressing room and someone to do your hair and makeup I can arrange that for you" he replied .

"Ben it's not ... it's not the money or the lead or the dressing room" Rey told him.

"Then what is it?" He asked.

"It's ... it's finally getting what I wanted . I've always wanted a good man who treats me kindly and loves me and someone who loves this art just as much as me. And I see myself having a future with Hux, I've seen myself having a future with him since I was 14... I love him... and if I do see a future I don't want to be in a competing show, dancing with other men and living one side of the country while he's on the other ..."

"You love him?" Ben asked .

"I think so" Rey said "I've never been in love and I'm rather young but... I think so-"

"I can't believe you" he said standing up.

"What?" She asked getting up herself.

"You don't see that we love you! We all love you... gosh Rey ! You're so important to me" Ben said.

"Ben stop -"

"I think I might love you-"

"You're in engaged" she said with fear in her eyes . Rey's heart was pounding with fear and anxiety, the thought of him loving her was  preposterous to her young mind, yet at the same time she wanted to her what he had to say.

"I don't care" his long legs stalked across the room to her . He cupped her face gently and pressed his own lips to hers .

Rey kissed him back, warmly as his hands slid from her cheeks to her waist, holding her tightly and giving her warmth.

Her own hands stayed on his hoodie covered arms as he kissed her .

She pulled away and liked at him with daze and confusion .  What just happened?
