OC's Chapter 1
We're going to start on the second floor because
1. I'm lazy
2. I really don't want to write Headon
and 3. so that we can meet our favorite bois immediately.
Oh yeah, and a ton of this text will be taken from the webtoon/anime directly.
REMEMBER, I OWN NOTHING EXCEPT MY OC.
-------------------------------------
"Ahem, ahem, mic test, mic test! Can you all hear me? Hello, Regulars. Welcome to the second floor of the tower. This testing floor will determine whether or not you are worthy to climb the rest of the tower. Let's start.
"Usually there would be 400 Regulars, but it seems we have a mistake and have 401. Please reduce that number down to 201 within the allotted time. Use whatever methods you wish. The moment there are 201 Regulars remaining, the test will end. Oh, and you can also check the number of Regulars and the time remaining on your Pocket. Good luck, everyone!"
Silence...
All of a sudden I heard someone rushing towards me. I hit the ground and saw the Colourless December lying a few feet away. Grabbing it, I and made a run for it, but the dress I was wearing really did not help.
Ugh, I need to get a new outfit sometime or later!
I was distracted when the said person that was chasing me appeared before me. "Die!"
Oh, honestly? Yelling "Die!" is probably the most cliche thing I've ever heard.
He was dead in a few minutes. Well, not really dead, but I just hit his pressure points, clocked him on the head, and boom, he was out like a light.
"That was easier than I'd expected," I sighed aloud. "Let's keep on going."
It wasn't very long before I heard the whistling of most likely an arrow coming my way. At the last second, I spun around and a bullet bounced off my weapon.
I hate snipers.
However, that sniper didn't get to shoot that far again as I watched and saw a giant crocodile-animal-thing appeared behind the shooter and basically bent his gun. I laughed. "Nice, croc!" (even though yes, I was aware that he couldn't hear me)
But then the croc's eyes started darting around and for a moment they landed on me. Well, not me exactly, but my weapon.
Instinctively I made a run for it again. Enne had made it clear that if anyone knew that I'd borrowed her weapon, which was supposedly just as insane as it's owner, it would be off with our heads.
But maybe I shouldn't have run randomly, because a few minutes later I came across a clearing that was currently inhabited by a towering (ha) monster with several eyes and a...
Young boy around my age with black hair.
And he was pointing the Black March at the monster.
How? Why did he have the Black March? He was certainly not a Princess and if I was correct then that weapon is supposed to be Princess Yuri Zahard's, not his.
"Hey!" I called.
The boy jumped and pointed it at me instead. "W-what do you want?"
Before I could state my question another voice said, "Don't bother. With such weak knees, I doubt you could catch a rabbit in your state."
Even though I was sure he was directing that comment at the boy, I still felt highly offended. "Excuse me?!"
The owner of the voice was a pretty male. He had dark blue eyes and light blue hair and was carrying a cool briefcase.
A Khun-!
The black-haired boy turned away from me and faced the blue-haired boy.
"Shouldn't you be pointing that at the guy behind you?"
Slowly I turned around and groaned. Standing menacingly behind us was none other than the crocodile guy from earlier. The one who had looked at me like, 'you're gonna be my dinner!'
The alligator swung his gigantic spear down and it stopped right in the middle between me and the black-hair, blowing our hair back.
"Hey!" I cried in protest. "Rude!"
"Surrender, black and white turtles!" the alligator roared.
"T... turtles?" Black-hair asked hesitantly.
Okay, now I was really offended. Sure, I had spent most of my life in secret, which was why I was clueless about most things, but I was most certainly NOT a turtle!
"Huh..." the blue-hair had put an arm around Black-hair and another around me. "A talking alligator. I wonder how much that'd be worth."
I shook him off. Black-hair lept away in a panic.
Blue-hair pointed at the alligator. "Isn't this your pet?"
"Pfftt!" I giggled.
The alligator stomped one giant... foot?... onto the ground. Instantly me and the other two 'turtles' went bouncing into the air as the gator continued stomping his foot. "I'm not an alligator!"
He stopped and roared. "I am Rak Wraithraiser!"
"Seriously?" I asked from the ground. "I thought you'd have some kind of alligator name."
Beside me Blue-hair raised his head. "You can even introduce yourself?"
Black-hair looked over at Blue-hair. "Um, this person isn't-"
"I know," Blue-hair responded.
Gator swung his spear down to meet Blue-hair's face. "Blue turtle! I have no business with you!"
Blue hair got to his feet. "What are you planning to do to him?"
Before... Rak... could answer, I started jumping up and down. "Hello! Hello! You guys are totally ignoring me and I don't like that!"
"I will hunt both of you!" Rak roared, adjusting his spear to meet my face instead.
"Hunt?" I asked, confused. "So you really are a gator..."
"I become stronger by hunting!"
Blue-hair sighed to himself. "Another who allows himself to be controlled."
Oh?
"You are all fools who unquestioningly obey when the higher ups tell you to kill 201."
"Hello! I didn't!" I protested. "Though I like how you think, Blue-hair."
Rak blinked and then started spinning his spear above his head. "I've got no time for your riddles!!" Then he proceeded to slam that spear down inches from Blue-Hair's feet. He leaped nimbly out of the way. "Too high-minded for an alligator, I suppose."
Blue-Hair landed on the ground and waved. "Well, I'm going now."
"What?"
"I need to find some people-strong and interesting allies who will climb the Tower with me."
And just like that he was walking away in the grass, waving one arm casually. "Later."
Why that little...! I gritted my teeth. How infuriating.
Rak opened and closed his mouth, then turned his attention back to both of us. Black-Hair raised the Black March in defense, as did I.
Blue-Hair stopped and glanced back. I tracked his gaze down to the Three-Eye symbol, clearly visible for all to see. His eyes widened and he sighed. "I'm too curious."
Good, he hadn't recognized my weapon. I had taken care to hide the symbol and was pretending that it was normal, though I wasn't sure if I could retain normalcy. Already I thought I glimpsed the Green April, which I supposed wasn't entirely impossible. And now this strange boy has the Black March...
Before either of us could react Blue-Hair appeared again and covered Rak's eyes with his cape. "Let's go!" he grabbed both of our hands and tugged us out of sight of the gator.
I watched as he uncovered his eyes, roared angrily and shook his spear. "Damn turtles! Where'd you go?! Crappy little turtles!" And he ran off in the opposite direction of where we were. "I'll tear your skins and your shells from your bodies!"
"We don't have shells," Blue-Hair noted as we stepped out.
"And why are we referred to as turtles...?" I wondered, because why.
"Thanks for the help." Blue-Hair patted the giant monster. "The Da'an Clan are mild-mannered, even in this kind of situation."
I watched as the monster lumbered away. "Oh...so that's why you said..."
"With such weak knees, I doubt you could catch a rabbit in your state."
Blue-Hair extended a hand to both of us. "My name's Khun."
So he was indeed from the Khun family...
I took his hand and shook it. "Eurasia."
Black-Hair shook it as well. "I-I'm Bam."
I opened my mouth. "Why do you have the Black March?"
At the same time Khun asked, "Why do you two have two weapons from the 13 Month Series?"
I sweat dropped. Crap!
Bam looked innocently confused and I thanked him for that. "W-what?"
"Those weapons are only granted to the princesses chosen by Zahard, king of this tower." He turned to me. "Which family are you from?"
I blinked. "Eh?"
"You have white hair," Khun stated calmly. "Like the members of the Arie Family. And yet you say your name is Eurasia."
I sweat dropped again. "Actually, I don't know. I was kinda kicked out of wherever I was born at a very young age, so I've kinda been on my own."
Khun's eyes narrowed. "I see. Well, if you really are from one of those families it would make sense for you to have that weapon, but how could you-" he nodded at Bam. "-someone who had just entered the tower, much less a man, have acquired it?"
Bam stepped back, holding the Black March protectively. "She let me borrow it," he said, looking away. "T-there's someone I have to see."
"Someone?"
Bam didn't answer, and Khun once more looked at me. "What about you? I can't seem to classify which one of the 13 Months you have, but why do you have one? You're certainly not a princess, I hope."
I touched the weapon. "This one was lent to me as well."
His eyebrows skyrocketed. "Don't tell me you have someone to see too."
"No..." I said hesitantly. "But there's someone I need to save."
A beat of silence.
Then Khun said, "How curious."
"Huh?"
"Let's go," he said, starting to walk away.
"Go where, exactly?" I asked.
He raised a hand carelessly. "You guys don't mind talking to me, right?"
Bam and I exchanged delighted glances. "Sure!"
And that's how I began climbing the tower.
-----------------------------------
*leans back, stretches* Woooooow, that was a tad bit harder than I'd been expecting!
Out of the fearsome trio, I'd say that Khun is currently the hardest to embody in writing. Later on Bam will become super difficult, but I'm not gonna go there SO THERE.
Looks like I'm gonna continue Eurasia's story.
