(Timeskip cuz I'm lazy)

As they walked up to a restaurant, sans suddenly blushes and looked sheepish.

"Hey, kara? Before we continue, do you wanna get something? My treat?"

Kara ignored Mia's sly look and beamed, linking their arms. "Sure!"

Sans blushed harder and grinned. "Do you wanna teleport in or just walk in?"

"Teleporting is more dramatic" kara told him. And, I get to hold onto you- is what she doesn't say, although she really wants to.

A flicker of light, and they are gone.

Mia notices Naruto shivering and walks over to him. "Naru?"

"I could've saved her" he whispered, screwing his eyes shut. "I could've done something!"

"There was no way" mia argued. "Lucy was beyond helping. And it's not like she's gone! She's... she's still here. Speaking of which...." she turned to Rebecca. "Should we still call you Rebecca?"

Rebecca seemed to consider this before nodding. "Yeah. Lucy's here, but she isn't a prominent part of my soul. I'm me" she smiled at them. Naruto tried to smile back.

"I-i just wish that I could have helped"

"You did help! By the way... how did you get all that power back there?"

Naruto felt his cheeks redden. "P-promise you won't laugh?"

"Of course I won't!" Mia sounded offended, and Naruto linked their hands. "I think... when you healed my soul, you made contact. And, um.... toriel said that soul contact is intimate. We formed a soul connection, and.... when I saw you get hurt, my soul started getting so..." Naruto shut his mouth. He couldn't describe what he had felt.

"Oh...." mia couldn't reply. All she could do was squeeze his hand and make sure the others were doing ok.

-With devon-

"Abby?" Devon asked softly, and Abigail scowled. "Don't call me that"

"Your still angry? But.."

"Not angry" Abigail corrected quietly. "I just... need time alone"

Devon obliged.

-With kara-

"It's weird to think that the journey is almost over. You guys really wanna go home. I know that feeling, but... isn't the underground enough?"

Kara smiled. "The underground is lovely, but..." her eyes dimmed. "It's not home. And now we just have bad memories down here" sans winced.

"You warned us" Kara's voice wobbled. "I-i just didn't want to believe it was true"

Sans leaned forwards. "She's still here" he said softly. "She'll never be gone. Not really."

"Your so nice" kara muttered, and sans swore he saw her blush. "And.. um..."

"You can ask me anything" sans reassured her, and she nodded. "So, um. If I do something.... please don't hate me. Please don't think I'm weird. Promise me"

"I promise"

She kissed him.
