I step out and immediately feel a cold wind. My hands begin to shiver and I get goosebumps.

Gritting my teeth, i start to walk.

It's kinda dark, but I can still see clearly. It isn't snowing, but I can hear the noise of my boots crunching into fresh snow.

I'm on a pathway in the middle of some woods. The trees surrounding me on both sides are tall and have no leaves.

As I walk I come across a stick strewn across the path. Just for the lol's I jump over it and continue walking...

But freeze when I hear the twig snap.

I turn. The twig, it's broken in two. Cleanly through the middle, both sides symmetrical.

I feel my blood run cold and, I recklessly run away, as if the devil himself was chasing me. I see a small bride up ahead. It's barred, but the bars are incredibly wide. I can make it!

I can hear footsteps behind me and my breathing hitches, my heartbeat accelerates.

I run until my legs sting and I get a stitch.

The bridge is just a couple of Meters away!

I pause for a breath, bending over my hands on my knees before I straighten, sweat pooling down my face, and jumper feeling too hot despite how cold it is.

Then I hear footsteps approach.

I can't move, my whole body has gone numb. I swallow thickly as a deep voice drawls out.

"H u m a n. D o n ' t y o u k n o w h o w t o g r e e t a n e w p a l ?"

My hand reaches for my knife.

"T u r n a r o u n d, a n d s h a k e m y h a n d"
