Chapter Twelve: School

A/n: Thanks for all the votes, everybody. Couldn't do it without you. Go Civian!!

Vivian Anastasia Nightingale's POV

"Young Mistress, it's time to ready for school." Liliths's voice pulled me from my dreamless slumber. I groan slightly, five more minutes, please? I stretch and pull off my bed's sheets.

"I suppose."

Lilith came over with my schools uniform in hand. The uniform was okay I suppose. It had a white pollo with a black coat and a black and white plaid skirt. At least the colors weren't absurd. I dressed silently as Lilith gave me information she dug up on the private school.

"Mr. Genmark, the principle, is cheating on his wife. Be careful of the janitor with red hair; he has a thing for kids..." Lilith rambled on. I simply nodded. I put on a pair of sunglasses to hide my eyes. I had colored contacts but I really didn't want to do the tedious task of putting them in.

When I was prepared, I headed downstairs for a small breakfast of toast with jam. Ciel didn't show up. I couldn't help but feel slightly disappointed. What was wrong with me? I sighed brushing crumbs from my face with a napkin.

What else do I need for school. Dressed; check, ate; check, supplies? I rolled my eyes. Boo, Lilith was doing dishes. So that meant I'd have to do it. After all, I'm not lazy. (Like a certain gothic styled boy I know) I went upstairs, my shoes padding on every step.

Third person POV

The demoness's soapy hand cleaned her mistress's plate. A certain demon also lurked in the kitchen making his master's meal.

"Do you agree with her choice to go to school." Sebastian asked, flipping some sausage.

"Of course not, my prey is in a place that I don't have as much control of." Lilith remarked.

"Well couldn't you just-" Sebby started.

"No, this is my job. I don't need his help." Lilith interrupted. Anger coursed through her veins. This was her job. This is to get what she desperately needed. Silence echoed in the kitchen as Lilith put a plate away.

Vivian Anastasia Nightingale's POV

I waited calmly for Lilith at the front door. Despite being mature my thoughts ran with possibilities at what could happen. Was there kids like the ones Ciel and I saved? Kids like me? I was nervous; I expected my abilities to be back by now but I didn't feel the familiar itching inside me.

"You'll be fine, Vivian. You'll be running the place within the first 5 minutes." A certain blue eyed boy called Ciel spoke. My eyes narrowed.

"You hardly know me." I spoke in monotone. Nothing flashed in his eyes. The eyes that was a beast's. The eyes that I needed to protect.

"Well, if that's true, I wish you good luck." Ciel replied and walked away. Oh Ciel, we both know you don't believe in wishes. After all, I didn't either.

"Young Miss, are you ready?" Lilith's heels clicked against the dark wooden floor. Her silver hair flowing behind her.

"I'm always ready, Lilith."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~A magical change in time~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The black car Sebastian let us barrow pulled up near the school. A giant metal fence pulled open. I hadn't expected that. Instead of one dull brick building, I saw five boring buildings.
"Lilith, you better explain before someone ends up with a Columbian necktie." malice covered my words. I wasn't told of this and I needed all the details to play my game. Lilith looked at me in the mirror.
"Such words from a fourteen year old." She teased. Apparently, she really wanted to die.
"Lilith, now."
She said nothing but stopped the car and grabbed my luggage from the trunk. She kept that away from me too. The damned demoness opened my door and grabbed my backpack.
"Come on Mistress, you'll be late for school." She smiled wickedly at me. I held back my rage and said nothing as I got outside the black car. Lilith lead me to the front office. And to a door that read 'Mr. Genmark'. Lilith knocked on the polish wooden door.
"Come in" A deep voice sounded. She opened the door and waited for me to enter before shutting it. Mr. Genmark was a plump man with balding blonde hair and had a tie with cats on it. He had a small stain on the cuff of his white shirt and smelt absolutely awful. "Sit, sit." he gestured towards the two chairs in front of his oak desk. I smiled politely towards the pig-like man and sat.
"Welcome to Midston Academy." He smiled brightly. He had a piece of food in his teeth.
Lilith, sensing my irritation smiled "Oh, thank you for having Vivian. She's been such a handful since her parents died."
What the bloody hell was she on?
Mr.Genmark "I understand. I think Midston will be a perfect place get her on track."
Like hell it would.
Lilith smiled gratefully, fake tears springing in her eyes. The bitch. "Thank you so much" she spoke towards the pig and lean down to give me a hug.
"I order you to come see me at two in the morning in my dorm." I whispered lower than any human can hear.
"Yes, my Lady." She whispered back and pulled away. And with that she left.
"Ms. Nightingale, understand that this school does not tolerate misbehavior. Mr. Quince, one of our counselors is expecting to see you after classes get out."
I nodded and smiled sweetly,"Of course, Mr. Genmark. And may I say, what a lovely tie."
He smiled at my compliment " Thank you, Ms. Nightingale. You may head to class. One of honor students is outside waiting to show you around."
I nodded and opened the door and closed it softly behind me. I looked towards a blonde boy about my age. This most have been the honor student. He seemed familiar. The way his blonde hair fell. The way his green tinged lavender eyes sparkled. His smile.
He held out a hand "Hello, I'm Dylan Streamson."
