Aireona and Hau had just stopped at a Pokémon center to heal their Pokémon when a very familiar voice sounded behind them."There you two are I was looking everywhere". It was the unmistakable voice of Prof. Kukui. "I wanted to give you these Z rings when you two were at the lab, but completely forgot. It was only thanks to Lillie I remembered."
"Lillie?" Aireona repeated.
As if on cue, a girl completely dressed in a white stepped out from behind Prof. Kukui. " If it wasn't for me I think you would forget to put your lab coat on in the morning" she said. Lillie appeared to be about Aireona's age.
"That's probably true, anyway." Prof. Kukui handed Z rings to both Aireona and Hau.
"Wow these are so cool, what do you think Air?" Hau sputtered enthusiastically.
"Your right they are c-" Aireona began
"Air?" Lillie asked "Is that your name?"
"Oh no it's actually Aireo-"
"Ona?" Lillie finished.
Aireona sighed and looked at Prof. Kukui. "I got excited." He said with a guilty look on his face.
Prof. Kukui left the kids to get acquainted. Hau went outside to continue playing with his Popplio. Aireona and Lillie however stayed inside to talk a little bit.
"So how much did he actually tell you?" Aireona asked nervously.
"A lot , that man never shuts up when he's excited."
"Oh"
She thought for a moment.
"My father and my half?" She finally said
"What?"
"Never mind"she didn't know, Aireona though that was good.
There was a pause.
"So what's the real reason you're here in Alola?"
"What?"
"People don't just come here for research , they move in if they're here for that... unless they bring a team of people. If you were an actual researcher that would be one thing. But have a feeling it's more than just the Pokémon."
"I'm that obvious?"
"Yeah, kinda"
"... I don't really want to talk about it right now"
"Ok that's fair"

"..."
"So your Prof. Kukui's assistant?"
"Yeah, I'd say it's fun but I don't like ordering him a new lab coat three times a week."
"Why am I not surprised."
Both girls had a good laugh before continuing the conversation.
"So, your traveling with the trainer boy?" Lillie asked.
"Yeah, he can be really funny at times."
"Can I join, you know incase you want to talk."
"Sure, the more the merrier"Aireona smiled " I'ma go tell Hau."
Aireona felt glad as she told Hau the news. Maybe she could talk to Lillie to help ease her mined. "Probably not, but it's a nice thought." She muttered to herself.
