I was there for about a week before someone else arrived, everyone crowded around the giant truck, just like they had when I arrived. I watched as the back of the truck was lifted and I squinted to see the outline of a short girl curled up in the corner. She looked terrified.
She was dragged out and pushed through the crowd, she started walking herself and turned to look back when she ran straight into Balto!

"Woah, watch where you're goin newby!" He growled at her.

Just as I was about to run up to defend her, she just sighed and pushed past him. I liked her already!

"Are you okay?" I asked as I walked up to her.

"Sure, I guess......." She mumbled.

"Don't mind Balto, he's a jerk!"

"Whatever....."

"My name's Dottie, what's yours?"

"Look, I'm not trying to get attached to anyone right now, we're all gonna die eventually, the longer you're here, the sooner you're gonna die, so why bother making friends?"

"I could introduce you to my friends!"

"Did you not hear what I just said?" I saw a fire in her eyes, she was so cute! I grabbed her by the wrist and dragged her off to my little dorm room with Rylen and Daniel. She walked in and studied them.

These are my best friends, Rylen," I pointed to Rylen."And Daniel!" I pointed at Daniel, who blushed.
"Don't worry about him, he's just a little shy." I giggled.

"Dottie, who's this?" Rylen asked.

"Well this is the new girl, her name is.... Wait, what is your name?"

"Aphmau...." She replied.

"Yeah! This is Aphmau, she just got here! She's a little discouraged, knowing that we're all gonna die in a month or two, so I thought we could help cheep her up!"

"She doesn't look too happy to have been dragged here, Dottie....." Daniel pointed out.
Aphmau grinned.

"Do you have a room yet Aphmau?" Rylen asked.

"I dunno....." She replied, I got a brilliant idea.

"Hey, you could stay with us!" I shouted enthusiastically

"Whatever, I just want some time alone right now...."

"No problem! Here I got your stuff!" I grabbed her luggage and started to dust off and make a bed that was sitting, unused in the corner. She waved at us and walked out.
As soon as she was out of earshot I spun around to face Daniel and Rylen.

"Well?" I questioned them.

"What?" They both answered in unison.

"What do you think of her?"

"She's cool!" Rylen laughed.

"She's really pretty...." Daniel blushed. I grinned.
