Watering a Daisy

I'm watering a daisy, patiently
Because I know eventually, right here
The thing will stand a chance with tender care.
~
So here I am just watering this thing,
Expecting it to grow and knowing that
It will if I am patient and I do
Not trample it or freeze it or ignore
That seed, or cast a shadow or a scorch.
~
And yet a daisy only grows so high.
But yet a daisy's beautiful with its
Own features so unique; they complement
Its personality and purposes
So perfectly. I think that if a daisy
~
Would somehow grow just taller then it would
Become an ugly thing somehow because
A daisy cannot possibly be so.
~
Then as I water this dark seed I know
How tall it might become and that its height
Is just exactly what is to be hoped.
