Archimedes' View
The moonlight shows only your skin to me.
The universe shows everything else.
As if that satin were actually
The colour of your soul, your spirit tells,
~
Not even realizing I can't find,
Or tell the colour of the fabric's hue,
And I don't care. All that is on my mind
Is myself watching me just watching you,
And you just watching me do that somehow.
So none of these pale colours or sheer fabrics
Or rubrics or cold runestones matter now
Because the universe casts light upon us
~
From back of Archimedes' flag unfurled,
Who sets his lever firm, to move the world.
