"What are you guys doing?!"

Suga, hair clumsily brushed and dressed in his finest mismatched sweats, was aggressively pulling on the strings of Daichi's hoodie, tying a thick knot against the opening and sealing him inside a hole that was only big enough for a single eye to see through. Akaashi, trying his best to be respectful of the library setting, whisper shouted at them and attempted to pry Suga's toddler grip off of Daichi's gradually suffocating form.

"Guys-"

They all freeze as they finally register your voice before slowly panning over to the figure "hiding" behind you in fear.

Sugawara Koushi
"Oh hey y/n! Who's your friend?"

"...Can you ask that again when you're not strangling Daichi?"

Sugawara Koushi
"No it's alright. He doesn't deserve to breathe."

You look at Akaashi for assistance.

Akaashi Keiji
"Don't ask. You'll get him all riled up again."

Sugawara Koushi
"And just like that you're my next victim."

"Oh my god."

You walk over and pull Suga's arms off of Daichi's hood with an exasperated sigh, standing between them like a teacher in a kindergarten playground, as Daichi feverishly undoes the knots.

"I'm so sorry about them Kuroo. They're not normally like this. This is the strangler, Sugawara Koushi, the stranglee, Sawamura Daichi, and the relatively normal one-"

Akaashi Keiji
"-relatively?-"

"-Akaashi Keiji. Guys, this is Kuroo Tetsuro from my ecology class. Be nice."

Kuroo Tetsuro
"Hey guys, it's nice to meet you all... I think?"

Akaashi Keiji
"Wait, aren't you... the black coffee guy?"

Kuroo Tetsuro
"OH you're the psychopath barista right?"

Akaashi Keiji
"I'm not sure how to feel about that but... yes."

Sugawara Koushi
"You drink black coffee voluntarily?! Are you ok?! Blink twice if y/n is holding you hostage."

He kept his eyes extra wide.

Kuroo Tetsuro
"To be fair, I don't think I'm the one being held hostage."

He glances over at Daichi, who seemed to have completely recovered from his near death experience.

Sugawara Koushi
"Fair enough."

Sawamura Daichi
"Are you joining us for lunch? We're just waiting on a friend but he should be on the way."

Kuroo Tetsuro
"I would but I have plans after this. Definitely next time though."

Sawamura Daichi
"All good."

Akaashi Keiji
"Speaking of... you guys might want to check the group chat."

You pull out your phone, tilting it slightly so Kuroo could also see. After scrolling past a huge chunk of text in all caps from Suga, you stop at a few panicked messages from Bokuto.

You looked around at each other in a panic, silently debating the best course of action. But before anyone could respond, the doors of the library were aggressively thrown open, earning a chorus of shushes and an overly loud "SORRY".

"Ohp he's here."

Kuroo Tetsuro
"Your friend?"

You nod as you text Bokuto your location, along with multiple apologies and reassurances. It wasn't long before a familiar head of gray hair, and an unfamiliar sandy blonde one, barrelled into the section where you all were.

Bokuto Koutaro
"So you guys weren't ignoring me!"

He looked so relieved that he was about to cry.

"Wait Kuroo?"

Kuroo Tetsuro
"Yaku? I was just about to text you."

Bokuto Koutaro
"You guys know each other? Wait, who are you anyway?"

Akaashi Keiji
"Bokuto that's rude-"

Kuroo Tetsuro
"I'm Kuroo Tetsuro. I'm in y/n's ecology class and am unfortunately one of Yaku's roommates."

Yaku
"You'd think I can escape him on campus but I sadly don't have that luxury."

Kuroo Tetsuro
"We literally agreed to meet here-"

Bokuto Koutaro
"OH well I'm Bokuto Koutaro and, everyone, this is my friend from nutrition, Yaku Morisuke."

Yaku Morisuke
"Nice to meet you all!"

You all exchange introductions once again.

Sugawara Koushi
"Well if we all found our people, should we head out? I'm sure we're all starving."

Sawamura Daichi
"Of course you would b-"

Akaashi Keiji
"-be so considerate of other people's hunger. Let's go."

Akaashi quickly ushers Daichi out of the library as everyone begins gathering their things.

Kuroo Tetsuro
"Wait y/n! Before you leave, can I get your number? You know... since we're going to be in the same class and all."

"Sure. I apologize in advance if I bombard you with questions though."

You both exchange numbers before saying your goodbyes, with Kuroo and Yaku lingering slightly behind.

"Stop that."

Yaku Morisuke
"Stop what?"

Kuroo Tetsuro
"That. What is that creepy ass face you're making-"

Yaku Morisuke
"This is my 'I'm impressed you asked a girl for her number without passing out' face, but now I see that you don't deserve it."

"Excuse me- hey wait- how are you walking so fast-"
