Terrified screams were all one could hear from the two boys as they fell down the dark, treacherous, pitch black pit the Galvantula had tossed them into. Had there been a decent amount of light at the time, they would have clung on to each other for dear life...

But that only happens on television and in what some would call "fanfiction".

After what felt like hours of nothing while the two friends screamed like little Explouds, they finally came in contact with something. On Ash's end, it was his back against the cold, rock-hard floor. Clemont on the other hand landed on something soft and squishy, much to his delight. Said delight turned into confusion when the squishy cushion suddenly... talked?

"Hey, uh, Clemont? Ya mind getting off of me? You're kinda heavy..."

Finally looking at what broke his fall, the teen's face broke out in a beautiful shade of crimson while spouting multiple lines of "I'm sorry!", "Forgive me!", and "It was an accident!" as he scrambled to get off of Ash's stomach. Again. Ash just laughed as he stood up and stretched his arm towards Clemont.

"It's alright!", Ash said, trying to ease the other's nerves, "There's no need to apologize. It was an accident, and none of us knew that we'd get attacked by a horde Galvantula!"

He finished this sentence with his signature smile, making Clemont's heart skip a beat or two as he reached for Ash's hand. With the ravenette's assistance, Clemont got up from the ground and the two began to fully take in their surroundings.

The somewhat-open area the two had fallen upon included a small pond, illuminated by the bioluminescent neon-green mushrooms circling it, so there was a small light and water source. While they knew they couldn't eat the mushrooms, there was a small berry bush (presumably Oran) that they could grab food from in case they needed it. Other than the few stalagmites sticking up from a corner in the ground, that was all they had to work with for the time being.

"Well,", Clemont spoke, "at least we have the necessities for survival." "Yeah,", Ash responded, "but there's kind of a small problem..." "What is it?", Clemont questioned the other. Ash hesitated, scratching the back of his head before saying:

"We only have my backpack, and while I have more survival stuff, there's only one sleeping bag."

"..."

"..."

"... Oh.", Clemont finally muttered.

**Clemont's POV**

Oh. Oh no. This is terrible. TERRIBLE.

Ash brought up the idea to share the sleeping bag, and of course, I immediately said yes (carefully, of course)! This is just... terrible!!!

Though, when I think about it, it's not so bad... I get to be close to him... my friend... my crush... I felt my face heat up again at the thought, readjusting my glasses to erase some suspicions of such thoughts. It seemed like he bought it, because he just turned around and said, "Okay, let's start setting up camp!"

It didn't take us that long to set up everything, since we didn't have to search for ingredients for dinner, and we didn't have to collect firewood for... warmth...

Oh Arceus, help me make it through the night...

**Ash's POV**

"Okay,", I said, halting wherever Clemont's train of thought led to, "now that we're all settled, let's eat!" "Of course you'd say that, Ash...", Clemont said, with some chuckles here and there.

"It's not my fault I get hungry around this time!", I replied, laughing along the way. He also joined in my little giggle-fest until I pat him on his back. When I looked at him, his face was the color of a Simisear's face when it was angry. In other words, a scarlet-red. The question is though, why?

Oh well, that's a mystery for later! For right now, there's food to eat! We picked a couple of the Oran berries from the bush, 8 in total, and split it evenly, each of us getting 4. While I scarfed down my share of the food, Clemont only ate 2 of his 4, saying he'd save the rest for  tomorrow. Man, I should've done that... He's always so smart, and it's kinda cute when he's focused on his inventions, even though they blow up almost every single time.

After we finished our meals, I grabbed my pajamas and sleeping bag, only then realizing Clemont didn't have any pajamas with him. How did I already forget that we only had my bag to hold supplies?! I grabbed my pajamas, which consisted of a tank top and a pair of shorts, and handed them to him.

"I can sleep in the clothes I have on,", I told him, "so you can use these. That way, you don't have to wear that stuffy jumpsuit."

"Ah, th-thank you,", Clemont replied, "but I'll be fine!" "No, I insist!", I said, shoving them into his arms before taking off to the rocks sticking up from the ground. "Ash, you're so childish sometimes...", Clemont sighed, finally giving in. I soon heard some shuffling, and a zipper unzip.

Now, a part of my conscious told me, 'Take a peek! He knows where you are, but since you're behind the rocks, you could easily sneak a looksie without getting caught!', but the other part said, 'No, don't do it, self. It'd be wrong if you to do something so mean, and if you got caught, he'd never be your friend again! You'd lose him for good!'

So the part who told me "no" won over me, because I don't wanna lose him before I tell him... That'd suck...

"Ash! Are you okay?", Clemont spoke, causing my thoughts to screech to a halt. "Yeah, I'm fine!", I replied, "Just thinking about stuff!"

I walked away from my hiding spot, only to stop right in my tracks. It was at that moment that I remembered what we agreed to do earlier...

Share the sleeping bag.

**Wow, okay, that one was pretty short, huh? But I still hope you enjoyed it! I'm so glad that y'all like this fangic, and now I feel more motivated to continue to push forward!

I won't stop making these fanfictions for y'all until something happens, it's time for me to leave, y'all don't want them anymore, or another reason. I will continue on, I will continue to push forward just for y'all!

It'll take awhile for the next chapter, but I'll still try to have it out as soon as I can! I can't guarantee it'll be out in a few days, but I'll still try to get it in a reasonable amount of time!
