I just got up and had just freshened up when I heard a soft knock. I spoke a 'Come in!' and set down my phone. 

Felix. Oh.

'Hey... I hope I wasn't disturbing?' He smiled nervously, sighing quietly. I shook my head no.

'Nah, I just got up so you're good-' 'You look beautiful.' Felix blurted out, and I stared at him. 

'...Uh.. What?' I asked, trying to calm myself the fuck down because gods, he looked cute and I was sure that we both were matching shades of red. 

'Uh. Yeah.' I couldn't help but smirk at his level of flustered. I bet I wasn't even that red.

'Oh yeah? You sure I'm the beautiful one?' I smirked, crossing my arms. Felix turned redder. 'N-no- I-I-I mean, W-what the-?'

I chuckled. He was cute. 

'Yeah, Felly. You look adorable right now.' I smiled at his expression. He turned even redder and ran a hand in his hair, sighing. 

'Uh, anyways... to get back to my point... I just dropped by to see how you're doing.' He mumbled.

The air around us became taut with tension, like a bowstring stretched just a millimeter less before it snapped. My whole body tensed. 'I'm fine. As you can very well see.'

Felix sighed. Why was he sighing so much? Was I really that disappointing?

'Look, what happened yesterday-'

'Is none of your business. So let it go.' I snapped, taking my things and walking out of the door. Felix sighed again. It was getting on my nerves. I took Emma and we both said strained goodbyes, going out of the lavish house.

'What happened yesterday-'

To hell with it.

And to hell with Felix too, if he wanted to pry.

Felix:

I messed up.

Big time.

Very big fucking time.

At this rate, I don't even know how am I supposed to fulfil the deal with Emma.
