A town hidden beside the woods, it was poor and small making most work in the next town during the week.

The town that feared a cursed child, always keeping a distance from the young boy who always wore bandages over his right eye hiding it away while others feared him.

Some wondering if the cursed woods gave birth to the boy instead of his parents who worked in the other town, only coming home for a single day to give him enough food for a week before leaving back to the other town again.

A young boy who wasn't even given his own name, he only knew himself as the cursed boy the town learned to hate out of fear over his right eye.

So, each day he would wake up and place his clean bandages on. Eat his breakfast before heading to the town library that was never truly used by anyone but him. He would read book after book until it became dark and then head home to eat his tea. Bath, remove bandages and sleep before waking up and repeating the same routine over again.

Repeat, Repeat and Repeat seven days a week. He wouldn't even see his parents on the single day they came dropping of his food for the next week and leave a small amount of money that would get him a week worth of apple. Sure, he use to wait for his parents when he was younger but then he noticed they were just as scared of him as the rest of the town. It was best if he just wasn't around when they came home, they never came looking for him anyway.

But one evening, he met with a strange black and purple butterfly that flapped past him as he left the library slightly early. He watched it fly around, going unnoticed even when it was so very pretty in his eye.

Being the curious child he was, he followed after not caring over the rumours over the woods being cursed. After all, he was cursed as well and it wasn't like death scared him anymore. He already spend his days alone without ever feeling love or wanted.

But after a ten minute chase, he came to a stop by a small opening in the woods. Seeing a wired man just standing still looking to the setting sun.

He was rather tall, smooth grey skin with strange black tattoos over his forehead in the shapes of squashed stars. He was rather handsome with wavy, dark hair and a mole under his left eye. Yellow almost golden eyes that seemed to glow slightly as he glanced to the young boy. A smirk filling his lips and showing his perfectly white teeth. He is initially dressed in a formal manner as wearing a tuxedo with a top hat left in his white gloved hands.

"Little bunnies shouldn't be running around in these woods" He spoke, turning to the boy who froze slightly as his eye widen at the sight before him.

"Creepy men shouldn't be walking around either" The young boy shot back, placing his left hand on his hip while using his other hand to point to the strange man before him who soon chuckled.

"And who says I'm the creepy one between us, I'm the adult after all" He shot back, stepping towards the young boy who seemed no older then eight.

"Becuase only a creepy old man will stalk these woods, even if your got a pretty face it just proves your crazy if your in the cursed woods" The young boy whispered yelled back, pointing an accusing finger at the man yet again as his fire red hair blew in the window slightly showing his emerald green eye.

"So, you think I have a pretty face" The man grinned, placing his hands behind his back and leaning forward slightly as he looked to the young boy who cheeks soon turned rosy.

"Nu-huh, I said your pretty stupid to be in these woods" The boy lied, clearly embarrassed as he turned his head away.

"Ah my mistake" The man replied, playing along as he stood fully again.

"So, why are you in the woods. Don't you know they dangerous" The young body asked, taking a step forward as he eyed up the man before him.

"I'm waiting for a friend, they a little late meaning I'll be camping in the woods till they arrive" He answered with a shrug glancing away.

"Your really going to sleep here, aren't you frightened" The boy asked surprised.

"Not really, I see nothing to be frightened off" He answered with ease, a slight smile on his lips.

"So, You don't believe in curses or something. Do you have a way to keep them at bay" The boy asked with slight hope, his good eye sparkling slightly.

"I have no spell or reason to not believe in them but I can handle a curse if it comes my way. Why do you asked" He replied, looking the boy over and wondering over the story with his bandage eye.

"You'll leave too If you find out" The boy frowned, lowing his head.

"I'm sure I won't, unless your scared to tell" He mumbled back with a slight smirk as he crossed his arms over his stomach watching as the boy head snapped up.

"I'm not scared" The boy yelled back, placing his hands on his hips and glaring to the man who just grinned.

"Then tell me" He shot back smugly.

"I'm I-I um c-cursed" The boy whispered, turning his head to the side to look away from the man.

"Aren't we all one way or another" He smiled shocking the boy a little.

"Your cursed too" The boy asked amazed and the man just nodded.

Before another word could be spoke, the boy attention turned as another black and purple butterfly came flying past. A shine filling his green eye as he watched it fly away as his lips parted slightly in pure aww.

"Do you like them" He asked, holding his hand out as the butterfly landed on his palm.

"It's beautiful" The boy muttered with a cute smile as he stepped closer, taking care to not scare the butterfly away as he looked to it.

"That they are, I'm surprised a small bunny like you can see their true beauty. But take to never touch one, it only harm you before dying itself. They rather poisonous" He warned as he kept his eyes on the young boy who glanced to him.

"They are, then how can you hold it or are you just trying to stop me from holding it becuase you don't want to share" The boy mumbled back with a raised eyebrow making the man laugh a little.

"I can touch it because they are part of my own curse, only I can touch them but another will die as they die with them. So, do yourself and the butterfly a favour by never touching one" He explained and the young boy nodded in understanding.

"Can I come see it again tomorrow, I mean it must be lonely sleeping in the woods alone. So, since its be pitiful to see you sulk all by yourself when so many beautiful butterflies are around, I'll come visit you again ... so don't move" The boy huffed back, as he looked to the man who just looked at him surprised before smiling.

"I won't move from this open area, that a promise little bunny. So, go hop back home before your eaten" He teased back, tapping the young boy nose as he pouted slightly slapping the man hand away.

"You better not or I'll chase you, bunnies are fast after all" The boy shot back before running back towards his town.

"An interesting bunny indeed" He whispered to himself as he looked to the butterfly in his palm.

The Next Day..

"The bunny returned" The man teased as he laid down in the grass, hearing the young boy fast steps come to a stop beside him.

"You didn't leave" The boy muttered in pure shock, no one ever actually waited for him before.

"I did say I'll be staying in these woods until a friend arrives" The man shot back, opening his eyes as he looked to the young boy.

"Um do you travel often" The young boy nervously asked as the man sat up.

"You could say so, why?" the man asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Could you tell me some stories over your travels, I've read about places in books but um .. one day I want to see the places too" The young boy shyly answered as he sat down, his hands fiddling.

"I could but wouldn't I spoil your own future adventure if I told you about all the places" The man replied, just looking to the boy.

"I think we both know I won't actually make it in seeing the world. My own town doesn't even want me here, how would strangers even let me walk among them" The boy frowned, his hands gripping his trousers.

"You're not a cute brat, are you" The man sighed, glancing to the side as the boy glared at him slightly.

"Well your one to talk" The boy huffed back making the man give a slight sigh.

"Want to see a trick" The man offered as he picked up his hat.

"A trick" The boy asked unsure.

"Well, do you or not" The man mumbled back and the boy soon nodded his head.

The older man spun his top hat, before holding the end in his right hand before sticking his left hand threw it, wiggling his fingers at the young boy who watched in aww. His lips turned into an amazed smile as his eyes shined in pure joy. A slight laugh leaving his lips as the man pulled his hand back out and passing the hat to the boy.

"Whoa, do it again" The boy grinned, as he couldn't get his own hand to slip threw the hat but failed. No pout or frown on his lips as he failed, he kept his excited grin and shining eye.

"Again, won't it be boring if I do the trick" The man asked as he took his hat back, placing it back on his head.

"Then do a new trick" The boy smirked, crossing his arms as the man raised an eyebrow.

"Hmm, A new trick" The man muttered thinking about it.

"Hey are you um .. do you want something to eat" The young boy asked shyly, twisting his foot into the dirt as he looked to the ground too nervous to look at the man.

"Um" The man breathed out unsure.

"I bet you are, wait here and I'll bring some of my lunch for us ... Its best to eat together then alone" The boy smiled brightly, closing his eye as he lifted his head.

The man just watched as the boy opened his eye again, stepping back keeping his bright smile and turning to him.

"I'll be back before you know and  then you can tell me about other tricks you know. Maybe even show me another one or the hat one again .. don't go alright .. I'll be back really quick" The boy smiled, clearly excited as he had a bit of a skip in his step before he ran back into the woods heading back to the town.

"A strange bunny for sure" The man muttered to himself as he watched the boy run away.

And just like the young boy promised, he returned not just to share his lunch but everyday. Day after day he'll run straight back to the strange man, passing over a bright  red apple each morning before talking with a happy smile on his little lips.

They would talk and the man noticed how much the boy would smile and laugh now. Listening so very closer over his stories and the pure bliss in his eyes as he was showed a 'Magic' trick by him.

He learnt that boy held no name and so, he called him his little lion instead. A bunny he was but a bunny with a lion heart in his eyes. So, why he nicked name his as bunny he gave him aa true name as Rabi.  A name the boy took with pure joy and even cried as he was given it.

"Why so sad, bunny" The man asked as he noticed the sadden look on the young boy face as they sat under the night sky, for once star gazing.

"Well, your friend should be coming soon meaning you'll be leaving soon as well" The little boy answered, a frown on his lips.

"I guess that would be true but it doesn't mean we'll never meet again" The man replied as he ran a hand threw his hair.

"But you said I wasn't allowed to come with you when you leave" The boy muttered back, picking at the grass by his feet.

"You can't join me, you wouldn't like what I do but it doesn't mean we have to say goodbye" The man explained and tucked some of the boy red hair behind his ear.

"Promise" The boy asked, lifting up his pinkie making the man smile.

"Promise" The man smiled softly, holding up his pinkie.

The two went back to the watching the stars, the man content and the boy filled with hope for his coming future. Knowing he had at least one friend out in the world who would wait for him.

The man glanced to the boy who soon fell asleep, his head leaning on his arm without a care in the world. A small smile on his lips and he seemed rather content as he slept, no fear to be seen.

He stayed staring at the boy, wondering over him and wondering why he hasn't scared him away. Then again, he didn't think he could scare the young boy away even if he wanted too.

A cursed boy, one feared by his own town and parents. He ran into a cursed woods just to see a butterfly he found pretty. He wasn't easily scared unless it meant being alone .. that was what he was truly scared off.

So, as the last day came he told the boy his last advice. A small favour that would free him of his chains to the town and able to walk freely away to travel. Sure he was a young boy but he'll look after him until he was old enough to travel alone.

"You'll really let me come with you" The young boy asked with wide eyes, jumping on the spot a little.

"Yep, so in two days meet me in our spot and no matter what you may hear or see from the town" He warned, placing a hand on the boy shoulder.

"What happens if I look" the boy asked confused.

"I won't be able to take you with me" The man answered honestly.

"I'll wait" The boy smiled as the man ruffled his hair, a slight giggle leaving the boy lips.

So, the boy waited as the day came. His bag packed and he even brought extra apples for them to have as they travelled together. Waiting in pure excitement and wondering what time he would be picked up.

But as the sun started to set as the moon started to rise, he noticed a burning smell in the air. Fire .. something was on fire close by making him turn towards the town.

Ready to take a step before freezing as he remembered his friend warning. If he entered the town then he'll be left behind, he had to stay or he'll never be taken with him.

He closed his eye, taking a shaking step before running towards the town. He couldn't just look the other way. Sure, the people weren't nice towards him and he was made an outsider but they weren't bad people. They were scared of the unknown, they were just trying to protect themselves and their love ones. They shouldn't be left to die if he could help in some way.

That day became the first night he ever saw the true power an Akuma held and the night Ravi died.

Or he should have if a man didn't stand before him, a beautiful butterfly the boy grew to love more grown in the size of a shield saving him. A man back facing him as the butterfly was absorbed back into his palm with ease.

"A shame truly, I really did grow to like you"

The man spoke as the boy eye grew in panic.

"Tyki" The young boy whispered as the man finally turned to him.
