Thing opened the portal and entered it. He went and retrieved the adventure animatronics, the cutest thing anyone has ever seen.

Once he came back through the portal, he turned and said, “Ready for the cutest thing nightmares?”

The nightmares turned and looked scared once they saw the adventures standing there, with big gleeful smiles on their faces.

“They’re using cuteness against us, run!” yelled the leader of the nightmares, “run everybody! Why aren’t you guys listening to anyone?” he was now scared and bowed down. He also took out a white flag from his stomach mouth.

“Nightmare, why?” asked Nightmare Bonnie with a worried expression on his face. He then looked at the adventures and saw how and why Nightmare gave up.

“The adventures are too cute for the nightmares to handle, they will bow down and surrender to us, the real winners and scarers!” Thing yelled to everyone who was listening to him.

He was ready to explain why Nightmare Thing never wanted to attack anyone. He couldn’t easily do it though, he was upset at what happened to him that he decided this was the best time to explain the nightmares.

“Nightmare Thing was made by the gods, he never intended to attack and hurt those who didn’t want to hurt him. He was never planning on harming anyone here, he was just trying to make everyone happy.” Thing started to cry while saying this, he wanted everyone to know who and why Nightmare Thing was a traitor to anyone.

In the shadows, no one knew that he was watching and listening to every word being said, the entire battle, and what Thing told them. He noticed the nightmares, eyes widened at the words said by Thing, the one who understood him the most.

Plushtrap also looked down from the shadows that he and the other nightmare were at, listening to the truth behind Nightmare Thing. His eyes welled up in tears from the words spoken softly by Thing.

“I never knew that, why didn’t you tell anyone?” Plushtrap asked Nightmare Thing, who was hidden behind him.

“Because they wouldn’t listen to anything I said until they were down. Now they are, and they don’t know that I am still alive. I also think that Thing has forgotten that I am a version of him, who can’t be killed.” he whispered to Plushtrap, and looked back at the others again.

The nightmares all started to see why he betrayed them, but he wanted to be happy with everyone.

“He wanted us h-happy?” Nightmare asked Thing.

“I don’t know anymore, but you will now become better nightmares, never haunt and hunt us, and be happy that you're all alive now.” Thing said to the nightmares who all agreed to the plan. They weren’t ready for anything yet though.

Thing led the adventures through the portal, while the shadows helped the animatronics through portals to their homes.

Once thing got ready to leave, a nightmare tapped him on the shoulder.

“Hey, I’m sorry for what I did to him, I was forced to do it by Nightmare.” said Nightmare Bonnie who hugged Thing. Thing was more surprised by this action, but just let him do it for the time being.

“Okay, can you stop hugging me now, I need to leave.” Thing said trying to leave but he still helped on, not wanting to let go at all.

Once Nightmare Bonnie let go of Thing, he left through the portal to his home at Doug 'n Rachels.
