Chapter 1: The Island
(We open on the island where Olaf, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny washed up after a brutal storm. Olaf and Kit Snicket had just recovered from the Medusoid Mycelium. Olaf was recovering from the harpoon wound he had gotten days prior and Kit was busy breastfeeding her baby, Beatrice).
Count Olaf was laying in the shelter that Violet Baudelaire had constructed the previous week. He had become very depressed due to the fact that none of his lies, games, or tricks were working.
"Count Olaf, we collected some fruit from the trees" said Klaus, the middle child of the Baudelaire orphans.
"I suppose we should give it all to you and we get nothing?" asked Violet, the oldest child.
"Eat it, you guys need the energy" said Olaf turning over on his side. The kids gasped.
"You need to eat too, or you'll starve" said Sunny, the youngest child.
"You know I don't speak toddler gibberish" said Olaf.
"She said that you need to eat too, or face the chances of starving to death" said Violet.
"Good, there's nothing left to live for anyway" said Olaf.
"That's not true, Olaf" said Kit Snicket, the sister of Lemony Snicket.
"Listen to Kit" said Sunny.
A second later, Beatrice, Kit Snicket's baby, started crying.
"Oh, sorry, sweetie" said Kit as she starts breastfeeding again.
"Isn't she a wonderful mother?" Olaf smiled, rubbing Kit's back.
"She's a good mother but she doesn't deserve you" said Klaus.
"You're a wicked person who's done terrible things" added Violet.
"I hate you less than I hate Mr.Poe. I despise that guy" said Sunny.
Klaus and Violet looked at Sunny, shocked.
"What'd she say?" Olaf asked.
"She said she hated you less than she hated Mr.Poe, and that she despises him" explained Klaus.
"I've always liked you, baby" said Olaf.
The Baudelaires sat down with Kit, Beatrice, and Olaf and ate the food they found.
"I hope we can get out of here" smiled Kit.
"Yeah, us too. I'm worried about Fiona" said Klaus.
"Ugh, Hooky's sister?! I hate those two" groaned Olaf.
"His name's Fernald" corrected Violet.
"Whatever" Olaf rolled his eyes.
The gang ate and started thinking about ways to get off the island safely.
"Maybe we can use the Carmelita II boat" suggested Klaus.
"That's a good idea" smiled Kit.
"Of course. We'll do what the Baudelaires say, cause that's what we always do" said Olaf, jealousy written all over his voice.
"Well, if you don't like it then you can stay here!" Klaus said harshly.
"Now, Klaus. Let's not be too hasty. Count Olaf wants to get off this island as much as we do" said Kit.
The children nodded as Beatrice and Sunny seemed to be talking up a storm.
"Looks like they're already growing a bond" Kit chuckled.
They all laughed as they got to working on the boat to get off the island.
