Chapter 16
Dear readers, there is a creature feared by many and difficult to control.
Without the proper disaplan these creatures can harm you, physically, mentally, spiritually, and truthfully.
There called children.
.
.
"So how long have you known my parents," Klaus said to Lemony, who, at the moment, was tied up after being dragged out of the taxi by his sister and now left in the library to babysit the middle, well, the younger Baudelaire.
"A long time."
"Why are you here?"
"Because I'm tied up."
"Why are you tied up?"
"So I stay put."
"Your not very descriptive of your questions," Klaus said stumped by the minimal answers his 'babysitter' gave having interrogated him for an hour now.
"Well your not explicit on your questions," Lemony said amused by the boys frustrations of petty answers.
"Well, can you at least tell me your name," Klaus said frustrated and tired.
But just before he could give another answer came in a quiet voice with a creek at the door.
"Klaus? Lemony?" Violet said coming in to the library after being told by her mother who went off to see of what her father was talking about while entertaining the guests.
"Pleasure to meet you again Violet," Lemony said leaving a stunned Klaus.
"You know this man,"Klaus said surprised.
By now klaus, having experience his sister's peculiarness and lemony's odd nature should by now not be surprised but proceeds to anyway, like when a person eats a sour pickle once and then later on eats a pickle and is surprised by its sour taste again. Yet by this sense now, proceeded him to pull his sister away from the tied up man in order to understand of how to handle the present predicament with his 'babysitter'.
"Does he know, about the you know what, in the you know when."Klaus said making little sense.
"Not sure, but doubt it, that is, if your talking about the future," Violet said.
Not to sound rude, but if you went to my school you would have failed gossip class," Lemony said hearing the children's conversation.
"What school haves a gossiping class?!?" Klaus asked, mostly yelling.
"Well actually it was called 'Interpersonal Communication In Telling Kept Secrets' which is a loose term for gossip; now if I may be so bold to ask what are you talking about that involves the future," lemony said standing up after having taken off the ropes that tied him down frighting Klaus and intriguing Violet after seeing that he so easily undone the devils tongue knot, a favorite of Violets and was thought to be impossible to undo.
"Well before I can tell you anything, you must know that the best gossip is the one accompany with tea and sandwiches along with a white napkin folded as a elephant," Violet said with a simple smile.
If this had been the future then saying those words wound have been a form of confrontation of the simple kind, as if you were going to and interview for a company or if you were to meet your sister in-law who by happened to be the most powerful women alive even thought her little brother works part time a salary of 15 dollars a hour.
By now you should have realize that since I put those examples on to words, this had happen one of the Quagmire triplets, but this is a story for another time, which brings to another situation of another person who is in a way tied up at the moment.
.
.
"So you met this girl at a waterfall," Isadora pacing back-and-forth in the library as she looks at her brother Quigley Quagmire.
"A frozen waterfall might I add." Duncan said sitting on a chair backwards looking a Quigley as well who is tapping his foot as he concentrates in trying to remember just when he met Violet Baudelaire.
"Yes Duncan, a frozen waterfall in winter," Isadora said not believing of being able to believe what her brother had said as they wait in the library after there father got a mysteries phone call.
"It wasn't winter," Quigley said trying to remember.
"But you said it was snowing..." Isadora said looking at she brother confused.
"And you were on a frozen waterfall," Duncan chimes in again.
"I know."
"And where were we?!?," Isadora said raising her voice, gesturing to herself and Duncan.
"I don't know."
"So you went on a date without us or mother and father knowing, with a girl who we don't know?!?," Isadora said now not believing we second brother.
"Your were on a frozen waterfall and you didn't invite me?!? You know I wanted to climb a frozen waterfall?!? That's been of my bucket list since I was like three?!? What next you worked part time summer job as Santa's elf," Duncan said throwing a temper tantrum that his little brother is now more experienced then him, both in life and in girls; granted he was only nine, but it was his responsibility to know and protect his siblings and be the more experienced.
"Well when I remember where you were then I'll tell you, besides you two go off without me anyway, why worry now?"
"I don't know. I don't want to lose my brother," Isadora said but soon after tripped on the rug.
"Careful, the rug is misplace with your pacing,"Quigley said a little to late.
"Oh your so kind,
If only you didn't lie," Isadora rhymed sarcastically as she gets up from the floor, but soon sees or really in this case here how cold the floor is.
"Metal," She said moving the rug.
"Of course there's metal, it's a secret passageway to the underground tunnel," Quigley said bored until soon enough his eyes widened.
"There is a secret passageway to an underground tunnel," Quigley said happily as his siblings looked at his surprised.
.
.
"So you know about VFD is?"
"Volunteer Fire Department? Yes."
"And you about the fire starters?"
"Wanting to watch the world burn, believing there problems can be solved by fire? Yes."
"And about the sugarbowl?"
"Hidden in Heimlich Hospital, containing not just the cure but as well makes a person immune to the medusiod mycelium? Yes," Violet said answering all of Lemony's questions with extreme detail.
Lemony put his hand on his face covering while facing the ceiling, letting out a loud groan of frustration.
"Do your parents know that you know," Lemony finally said to Violet.
She paused, "no."
Lemony looked at Klaus next, "And you, what do you know."
"Well, I didn't, but she did tell me about the organization part, and normally I'm a person that tends to believe information based on what I find or is what's presented at me. You gave the proof so I believe her."
"Well this is news I was no expecting."
But before they could say anymore, the grownups came in asking why there sitting down drinking tea.
And without a moments thought Lemony said sarcastically, "We are at a cafe in Paris after Klaus came back from the hospital with live changing news."
It was quiet for a moment with the grownups trying to understand until Klaus and Violet bursted in giggles.
