"H-hello..." Shiniko stuttered.

"Shiniko Kuroshira, am I correct." said the intimidating man.

"Yes.."

"Sorry to disturb you, but I would like to ask you if you wanted to undergo training to become an assassin."

"You're kidding, right?"

"No."

"But why me out of all people?"

"I know your past, and up until now I've been watching. You have great potential, you might not know it now, but you have what it takes. You don't need to give your answer now, I'll be back tomorrow evening."

And with that, he disappeared. Shiniko was now confused and conflicted. She didn't know what to do, so she just continued her evening while thinking about his offer.

The next morning, she decided to walk around her neighborhood and to the nearest mall to get to know the area better, as well as visiting the school she would be attending. The school had a big playground, lots of open fields and there were a few students playing around. After touring around, she went home and...

Watched anime.

There was so much she needed to finish, but there was so little time. She didn't even realize that it was time for dinner. Since she was living alone, she didn't want to cook, so she made instant ramen. As she was eating, her thoughts lead back to the mysterious mans' offer.

Did she want to be an assassin?

She thought back to when she got left on the street.

Now she had a home and a family that cared for her. She ended her thoughts and made her decision.

Shiniko heard knocking at the door after deciding, she opened the door and it reveal the man from yesterday evening.

"Good evening." Shiniko said with complete confidence.

"Good evening to you to, so have you decided?"

"Yes, I have. I will become an assassin."

"Good. Now let's go, we need to started with the basics."

"Go where?"

"Assassins have training grounds everywhere. We will go to the nearest one and I will introduce you to other assassins that are hanging around before we begin." The man explained.

Shiniko nodded as a response and asked, "I never got your name sir, what should I call you?"

"You can call me Lovro sensei."

"Ok."

Before long, they arrived at the training grounds. It was dark, but there was enough light to see everything clearly.

Shiniko was in awe while looking around. It was so spacious and organized, and clean. There was a shooting range with lots of different guns and buckets of bullets, there were areas where you could practice hand-to-hand combat or practice with weapons, but of course the weapons are harmless.

There was everything.

Then a blonde haired girl walked over, she was a few years older than Shiniko.

"Lovro sensei, who is she?" The blonde asked.

"She is going to be my apprentice along side you. Her name is Shiniko Kurashira."

"Name's Irina Jelević, good luck."

"Thanks, it's a pleasure to meet you Irina."

Lovro sensei spoke, "Irina, you're fluent in many languages, can you teach her all the languages you know."

"Why of course sensei," she turned to face Shiniko, "You're a fast learner, right?"

Shiniko nodded.

"Fantastic. It'll make this a lot easier."

"Who's the little lady Lovro?" a voice asked.

"This is Shiniko Kurashira, Shiniko that's Red Eye," he said, as he pointed over to the guy at shooting range.

"It's nice to see new faces around here. If its alright with you Lovro, I can teach her how to shoot with different guns."

Red Eye suggested.

"I was going to ask if you would, but it seems you've read me mind."

Red Eye just smiled, and without looking, he shot the target and got a bulls eye. There were still 3 people who haven't been introduced, they've been talking to each other and didn't notice the appearance of Lovro and Shiniko.

"Smog, Grip, Gastro. We have a newcomer, her name is Shiniko Kurashira."

They introduced themselves and offered to teach her different strategies for assassination.

Smog will teach her how to make deadly poisons, as well as the corresponding antidotes for poisons and many other diseases. Grip will teach her combat skills and Gastro will help with shooting practice.

"You've meet some of them, but there are assassins all over the world." Lovro sensei informed.

Shiniko was a little overwhelmed at first, but regained composure quickly and nodded.

It was around 7pm, the sun was still out and it was burning, but underground was nice and cool. Shiniko had to learn the basics before she starts training.

The basic was mainly: sneaking/spying, hiding your presence, and controlled breathing. Lovro taught her the basics and within 2 weeks she had already mastered them.

～Time Skip～

To make sure Shiniko has completely mastered the basics, Lovro was going to walk around town and Shiniko had to follow him without getting seen. If Lovro saw her, heard her or felt her presence, then she would have to relearn the basics again. Since she was a fast learner, she easily passed.

Shiniko's test took place in the morning, so after the test, she went to a nearby cafe and had lunch. After lunch, she headed back to the training grounds and started her lessons with Irina.

Within a few hours, Shiniko understood most of the material and Irina was very pleased. The lessons lasted until it was time for dinner and after dinner, she started to learn the basics on how to wield a knife and gun, and started her combat training.

Training started at 7pm sharp.
She started with combat training, then shooting practice, and finally knife wielding. She practiced each skill for forty minutes straight and after practicing all 3 skills, she took an hour break, and got back to practice afterwards.

Everyday was the same.

The only free time she had was in the morning, unless Lovro made plans to teach her special techniques, but that was usually once every 2 weeks.

That was her schedule for the entire summer.

Even though she was so busy, she still kept contact with her brother and best friend. She didn't talk to her uncle too much because she knew very well that he was very busy.

When school started, her schedule changed, but not too much. Since she couldn't tell anyone about her training, she went straight home after school. Her friends didn't think too much of it.

When she got home, she starts her homework, it usually takes about 1-1 1/2 hours. When she finishes early, which is like everyday, she makes a small, light, healthy snack herself, before heading off to see Irina and the others.

Now that Shiniko attended school, she trained for an hour with each of the professionals and left at 10pm, but the lesson with Irina were the same. On Fridays and Saturdays, she would train until midnight.

～Time Skip～

Shiniko was a fast learner, as mentioned earlier, so she didn't learn what the other students were learning. Instead, she got her assignments and learned at a higher level than everyone else.

Starting in September for two and a half months, she studied at a high school level. For another two and a half months, she studied at a college level. At the end of each of the two and a half months, Shiniko had an exam on every subject and it was so long that it took her about the same time it did to finish her homework. It was worth it though because she got 100% on

Every. Single. Exam.

After she got her results for the college exams, she didn't bother going back to school anymore, so she decided to go back home. Shiniko told Lovro about it and he was fine with it, she told her Uncle, and he was fine with it as well.

After she got the 'okay', she started to pack. Shiniko didn't tell Karma or Gakushuu, that she would return a month before the start of their second year at Kunugigaoka.

～Time Skip～

Shiniko had just arrived at the airport and gotten all her luggage together. It was late at night, but her Uncle knew her landing time, so he was there to pick her up.

It was a quiet ride home and they quietly entered the house. Shiniko had gotten stronger, so she took her time and carried all her luggage back to her room with ease.

Once she was done, she changed into clean, comfortable clothes and flopped down on her bed and slept like a baby.

The next morning, she woke up near noon and started to unpack her belongings, washed her clothes and cleaned her room. After finishing, she looked at the time and saw that school was out for the day, she stayed in her room and attempted to scare Gakushuu when he got home.

Lucky for her, it didn't take him too long. Shiniko waited for him to walk past her room, as she quietly opened her door and jumped on his back, she swore to god that she heard him gasp.

"Long time no see Shuu!" Shiniko exclaimed. Gakushuu didn't respond for a second, until an idea popped into his mind.

"How are you, and how did you get into my house?" Gakushuu asked coldly as he faced her. After Shiniko heard those words escape his mouth, her heart dropped.

"You, don't remember who I am?"

"No, sorry."

Shiniko caught onto his little prank, and she played along.

"How could you not remember me?... we've been through so much together..." Shiniko said at the verge of crying, thanks to Irina's new lessons. Feeling bad, Gakushuu stopped playing around.

"Shiniko, I'm only playing around and you know it."

"I know!"

After letting Gakushuu finish his work, they talked about her stay in America and she told him that she passed college level education, but she was still going to Kunugigaoka Junior High.

Gakushuu was thrilled to hear that, because he needed to keep E class where they belong and to 'kill' his father's education philosophy. He didn't explain too much on why he needed to do so, but Shiniko had a few ideas on why he needed to do so.

They talked and talked until it was time for bed, but before sleeping, Shiniko watched a few more episodes of an anime. Her phone buzzed, she check what it was, and it was a text from The Devil himself.

The Devil: Hey~ how was ur day?
Shiniko: It was ok.
The Devil: What did you do?
Shiniko: Not much...
The Devil: Alright, well I gotta hit the hay, good night:)
Shiniko: Good night:)

After she sent that text, she got another one and it was from Lovro.

Lovro Sensei: Shiniko, please report to your nearest training grounds tomorrow after school.
Shiniko: Of Course.

After texting, she finally went to sleep and woke up on time for school. What lies ahead of her for tomorrow was unknown...
