Your POV
I rested my forehead against Garroths. Is this the man that I truly love? Dad would flip if he found out the I had feelings for a human. Wait a minute... Brianna! My eyes widened as I pulled away from Garroth. "(F/n)? Is something wrong", Garroth asked confused. "No time to explain I need to see Brianna", I started climbing down the ladder. I rushed out of the guard tower and towards the docks. I sat down and waited for her to pop out of the water.
Just then, Brianna came out of the water and laid in the soft sand. I walked over to her. "You wanted to talk to me", I asked concerned. "It's about mom and dad", Brianna frowned. "Dad... He's on a rampage looking for you. We've wasted all of our resources, even my is obsessed with finding you. Everyone is worried. You have to come back", Brianna begged. I looked down at my necklace and frowned. "But if I go now... There's no turning back. If I take off this necklace I will never be able to see my friends on the surface ever again", I felt my eyes starting to fill with tears. "(F/n), please, I'm begging you. It's mayhem down there! We need you... I need you", she stared at me, hoping that I'd say yes.
"Just... Let me say goodbye to everyone here. Be here tonight", I said as a tear rolled down my face. "You are doing the right thing (F/n)", She said before she dove back into the water. I fell to my knees and started bawling. "Why me", I questioned. "Why me what", said a familiar voice. I looked behind me and saw Aphmau with a concerned look on her face. I got up and walked towards her. "Aphmau, I have to leave. I need to go back home", I looked into her eyes. "W-why", she questioned. "My father is on a rampage looking for me and my sister wants me to come back to put an end to all of this", I stated as I wiped away my tears. "W-will you come back", she asked hopefully. "Of course I will", I put on a fake smile. I don't think that I will ever come back. "Great! We will throw a giant party for your return", Aphmau stated as she skipped off. I started walking around the village until I ran into Cadenza. "Hey (F/n)! what's up", Cadenza smiled. "I... Have to leave Cadenza, back to my native village", I frowned. "Oh, but you'll come back right", she smiled. I hate lying. "Of course I will", I put on my fake smile again. She smiled back the continued walking. "(F/n)! Over here", Laurence called to me from the plaza. "H-hey Laurence", I tried to smile. "Why so glum chum", Laurence laughed. "... I have to leave", I frowned. Laurence looked me in the eyes. "Why (F/n)", Laurence questioned. "Because of family issues", I frowned. "Well you gotta do what you gotta do. Tell Brianna I said hi by the way", Laurence side hugged me then continued doing what he was doing before. I sighed as I looked up at the guard tower. Now to tell Garroth. I took a deep breath in and started walking towards the tower.
I was walking until I ran into someone with solid armour and fell to the ground. "Oh, s-sorry (F/n)", Garroth said as he offered me a hand. I took it. "G-Garroth I need to talk to you", I frowned. "I'm l-leaving to go home and I don't know if I'm going to come back", I started crying. "B-but", Garroth stuttered. "Garroth I love you but I have to leave", I ran off towards the docks still crying.
I watched as the sunset behind the ocean. I will never get to see beautiful things like this again. "(F/n), you ready to go", Brianna caught me off guard. "Y-yeah I'm ready", I said as I looked down at me necklace. This is all just going to be some stupid memory. I ripped off my necklace.
