Hi guys! I know this is a weird change in the normal stories that I usually do. I wanted to try this one V3 AU I came up with however.

Let me give you a brief synopsis of what to expect from this story.

- Angst (of couse, it's a Danganronpa game).

- Fluff and shipping moments.

• Kaito x Maki

• Tenko x Himiko

• Kiibo x Miu

• Kaede x Shuichi

- No smut or lemon, I'm not comfortable writing that ;^;

That's all I have to say, so let's get into the story!

(Kaede's POV)

"Do you think she'll ever recover..?" A distant voice asked. My head felt fuzzy, I could barely even move.

Slowy, I began to remember...

Oh yeah... that's right.. my execution. I remembered the pain of the small stones constantly hitting me, the tugging of the collar as I was lifted into the air multiple times by that rope. I remember the edges of my vision going dark.

Then... there was a loud snapping sound, and I felt a sort of weightless senation, like the kind you get when you're falling. Then, I smacked into something cold and hard. Everything hurt all over... I was so cold, yet I couldn't move...

I heard pounding footsteps coming in my direction, then... blackness. I guess I blacked out, and now... I'm somewhere else..

I could feel something wrapped both my legs and parts of my arms. I could assume from that, my wounds were pretty bad.

Bits of conversation reached me. It sounded like a male and female were talking. I recognised the voices as Kiibo and Kirumi.

"How's she handling..?" Kiibo asked. It sounded like the other was checking something.

"She's stable for now. The recovery process will be the hard part" Kirumi answered.

"Thank you, very much" Kiibo thanked. He soundes relieved. Kirumi... she's helping me..?

I heard someone walk away, and a second later, there was the sound of a door closing. I opened my eyes slightly, trying to catch a glimpse what was going on. I could see that I was in my own room, but that was all. Kirumi noticed almost immediately.

"Kaede? Can you hear me??" Kirumi softly asked. My mouth was extremely dry, so I was only able to give her a small nod. A spark of pain zapped though me as I made that small movement.

"You should rest and recover for now" Kirumi said. It wasn't a suggestion, she meant it. "The rest are exploring the new areas in the academy".

I closed my eyes again, trying to take Kirumi's advice. I fell back into the deep depths of unconsciousness. It was semi-peaceful. I still had a  constant soreness, but it felt muffled, like it was behind a wall of cotton, if that makes sense.

(Dream sequence)

I walked through a land of eternal darkness. No light, no sound besides my own heartbeat. It was the kind of chilling silence.

In the distance, I could see a small shape. It was a boy, a teenage boy, with a blue striped shirt, and olive grern hair.

'Is that..?' I couldn't help but think.

"Rantaro!" I yelled running to him. I could finally apologize to him!

He turned to me, and wore an expression I've never seen him have. He looked a mixture of shocked and horrified.

He ran in a different direction and disappeared before I had the chance to follow him.

The area suddenly glowed a mysterious red color, bathing everything in a crimson glow.

I look up to a horrific and gut wrenching sight. The bodies of all my friends. Shuichi, Maki, Himiko, Kaito, Kokichi, Gonta, Miu, Kiyo, Tenko, Angie, Kirumi, Ryoma, and Rantaro... all dead at my feet.

I backed away, horrified. Then, one of the bodies stood up. It was Shuichi. I instinctively ran to him but stopped short. His eyes... they were a bright red coloration.

Shuichi looked at me and smirked evily. "You see what happened to them?" He asked, his voice cold and hard. One by one, the rest stood up, their eyes matching his. It was horrible, seeing them like this.

"This is all your fault, you know" he whispered. I tooked up at him, confused. 

"None of this would've happened if it weren't for you!" He yelled, lunging at me. I screamed and brought up my arms in a feeble attempt to protect myself.

(End of dream sequence)

I woke with a start, to complete darkness. 'It must be nighttime, I wonder what time it is..'. I tried to look at the wall clock in my room, to no avail, it was too dark.

Because of the nightmare, I had a hard time getting much more sleep. The only way I able to do so, was when I passed out from exhaustion.

Hi guys! Nice to see y'all again! Sorry I haven't been able to get any chapters from my Hermitcraft fanfiction book out yet. A lot of stuff has been going on in my life, and I needed time to recuperate.

Also, the people in the dream sequence are not the real ones. It's Kaede's idea of how they'd react. Basically, she got so overwhelmed with guilt that it manifested itself inside her dream.

I got the idea for the dream sequence from a scene in Danganronpa 3: Future arc.
