Amber goes outside and follows Madison as she walks away. We take the girl who was beating beaten up inside. She's barely awake. "Are you okay?" Quinton asks her. Soon most of us are all gathered around her.

She doesn't reply, but her eyes flicker. "What's your name?" Sky asks.

"Sophie Ookami..." she mumbles and passes out.

Amber's POV

As I followed Madison away, I thought about what I was going to do. There was a small, barely seeable alleyway that had a lot of garbage by it, and Madison will not let her clothes get dirty.

It was quite a long walk to the orphanage from the house. Either Kara or June would look back to see if Im there, and I am. As we walk, I can't help wondering what they're doing back at the house.

About 5 minutes away from the orphanage, the alleyway was approaching and June wasn't bothering to look back. Both her and Kara presumed that I'd keep following.

Three... two... one... I silently ran into the alleyway and hid behins the loads of garbage. I stuck my head out and watched as Madison paraded right back inside the orphanage.

"Wait! Where's Amber?" June suddenly cries. Madison scowls and I keep hiding. I don't care if my shirt or jeans get dirty. I won't go back.

"I thought you were looking!" Madison yells at Kara and June. The three of them look back around. I stay hidden, with a small peephole to look out of.

"Could she be here?" June asks. Madison snickers. "She'd be stupid to get dirty, but she is stupid. I don't want to get my shoes all dirty," Madison snaps.

So June and Kara rumage through the garbage. Kara steps on me, and I don't say anything, nor move my mouth to grimace. Kara almost sees me, but she doesn't.

They search the garbage, not bothering to lift up the bags while Madison watches. After 10 minutes they all leave and head in the direction of the house. "She can't be there!" Kara suddenly protests. "We looked over there when we walked here."

"Why don't we go look at Starbucks?" June suggests. "Plus I'm thirsty." Madison pondered for a second. "You know what? Why don't we look at Starbucks?" Madison repeated. June rolled her eyes and the three walked away.

After the trio had walked away, I waited for a while and then ran back towards the house. When I got there, Adam, Mia and Ian all greeted me with a huge group hug. I smiled and hugged them back.

"I'm glad your back," Ian told me when we'd stopped hugging. "I'm gonna go take a shower," I say and go to the bathroom in my room. After a shower, I put my dirty clothes in the washing machine and put on a fresh pair.

When I go to the lounge, the girl is on the couch. She's started to gain consciousness. Quinton, Ty and Jason all gave me hugs. Mitch, Jerome, Evie, Kitty, and Aura were all focused on the girl, who had fully woken up.

"Where am I?" She mumbles and looks at us. Her eyes set on me. "Aren't you Amber? The one who got adopted?" She asks. "Yeah," I say. The girl's pretty tired by the looks of it, as if she hasn't had sleep. She isn't smiling much and seems... sad.

I look after her while everyone else goes off to do her own thing. According to Ian, her name is Sophie Ookami. "How come Madison was chasing you?" I ask her once she's fully woken up.

"Because I told her I don't listen to 1D," Sophie says (sorry AnimeGirlcx if you actually do. I don't).

"Wow. That sounds about right," I say. "What happened to your parents?" Sophie asks. "I dunno," I shrug. "One day they said they were going somewhere and they just... disappeared into thin air. What happened to yours?" I ask her.

"When I was five or six, they were murdered in front of my eyes," she tells me in the same quiet, sad, and depressed tone that she had the first time I heard her talk.

I winced as she continued.

"My parents were part of this thing where scientists genetically modified unborn kids to make them have animals traits," she says. "What does that mean?" I asked.

"Scientists genetically modified unborn kids, aka me, and gave them core animal traits such as strength, speed, ec cetera. So I was genetically modified and became part wolf, if that makes sense," said Sophie.

"Wow," is all I say.

"Ms Spry's gonna notice I'm gone soon. She probably won't but she'll need someone to torture now that your gone," Sophie said. It took me a while to get it through my head.

"Wait... she tortured you too?"

Sophie only nods. Adam and Evie walk past us. I'm starting to call him Adam and not Sky now. I'm still not used to it. "What's going on?" She asks and sits on the end of the couch with us.

"Apparently I'm not the only one who's been through Ms Spry's tortuous routines," I tell Evie. Evie looked rather horrified. "Why can't Ms Spry just be gentle with people and treat everyone the same no matter what they like?" Evie says.

Suddenly I hear Adam start hyperventilating and Ty runs up to him, followed by Kitty. Ty turns to us almost immediately. "What happened?" Ty asks. "Oh my gosh I forgot! Gentle is kind of a trigger word for something bad that happened when he was little."

"Oh my god I'm so sorry!" Evie cries as Sky starts going crazy. He's most likely having flashbacks. "How do I get him to snap out of it?" She says desperately as Ian, Jason, Quinton, Jerome, Mitch and Mia all come.

"You have to say you won't be gentle," Ty says. Evie runs up to Adam and gives him a hug. "It's okay. I won't be gentle," Evie tells him as he calms down.

"Sorry," he mumbles. "It's fine. I'm sorry," Evie says. "Anyway, onto different matters, what's gonna happen if we take Sophie back? She'll end up running away," Ian says and Sophie looks up.

"I have an idea," Adam says. "Well, what is it?" Quinton asks.

"Why don't we adopt Sophie?"
