When the boys get home Jessica tells them about the trip.

"Are you sure mom?  What about the money?" Sam asks.

"Yeah mom, we don't want you spending money on us.  Or let us help you." James says.

"No, I don't want you boys spending anything!  It's my treat!" She smiles.

"I've been working, so we're okay.

Besides, your father and I have money saved up for the trip we were supposed to take this year.."

"Oh!  Well then let's go!" Sam smiles.

"Where do you guys wanna go?"

"Well how far can you go?" Michael asks.

"I'm only twenty three weeks pregnant, so I can go anywhere!"

"Well why don't we go to Virginia beach?

It's only a two hour flight.  It's somewhere we all can have fun.  Plus, mom can relax.  We don't have to do a lot of walking."

"That sounds nice!  What do you two think?" Jessica asks the twins.

"That sounds fun!"

"Great!  Then it's settled!  I'll see how soon we can get a flight.  You boys go pack."

"Alright!  Thanks, mom!"

With the help of her brother, Jessica was able to get a flight out the next morning.  George knew some people and they are letting them use their beach house.

Samuel sat beside Jessica, and James and Michael sat in front of them on the plane.

"I'm so excited!" Jessica smiles.

"Me too!  It'll be nice to get out of Minnesota for a while."

"Definitely!

So.. To go back a few weeks.. This girl."

"Oh Mooom!" He whines and lays his head back.

"No listen, I wanna talk! 

Is she your girlfriend?"

"No."

"Tell me the truth!"

"I am!"

"So you just fucked her?"

"Oh mom, stop!" He covers his ears.

"Sorry!" She laughs.

"But tell me who she is or I'll say fucking again."

"Jesus Christ, mom!" He looks at her and Jessica laughs.

"She was some girl I met at a party.. That night I told you I stayed at Joe's... I had um.. Gotten drunk and.. It happened."

"Samuel!" She hits his arm.

"I wasn't major drunk, I knew what I was doing and I knew that it was wrong."

Jessica pinches his arm hard.

"Oww!  But we're past this, right?"

"Yeah.. I just wanted to cause you a little pain."

"Thanks." He chuckles.

"Excuse me, Sam." Jessica says so he can stand up and let her out.

"What?  Again?!"

"Sam I have a baby on my bladder!"

"A baby what, elephant?!"

"Well I told you to take the window seat!"

"I hate the window seat."

"Well then move before I pee on myself!"

Jessica comes back and Sam let's her in.

"Those bathrooms are too small!" She says in an irritated tone.

Jessica sits back and rests her hands on her bump.

"How much longer?  Check that little thingy."

Sam checks the plane tracker and says, "About thirty minutes."

"Oh good!  Little guy's gettin hungry!" She pats her stomach.

Sam looks at her stomach and smiles softly.

"He's moving, do you wanna feel?

.. You don't have to, if you don't want to."

"No!  Of course I do!"

Sam places his hand on her stomach and she moves it to the side he was kicking at.

"Whoa..

*Smiles*

Pretty strong, huh?"

"He is!" She giggles.

Jessica saw Sam's eyes tear up.

She pats his back and says, "Where is that little guy with the snacks?"

"Heh!  I'll ring him."

"Oh it's so beautiful!  And the weathers so nice!" Jessica says.

"It's perfect!  Let's get to the beach house!  Uncle George said it was huge!" James smiles.

"It is huge!!" Michael yells.

Jessica laughs and says, "You can tell we haven't been out lately."

They unpack, then get dressed to go to the beach.

"Oh I want a mojito!" Jessica pouts as she sees people walk around and relaxing with a drink in hand.

James laughs and says, "You want me to go see if we can get a round of virgin drinks."

"Sure!  Thanks baby."

"No problem.  Sam, come help me."

The boys wait for them to make the drinks, and James asks, "Can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"What did you tell mom?"

"About what?"

"That day she got sick.  Why was she so upset."

"Because I admitted to something I had done."

"What?"

The man hands Sam his drink and he tells James, "Well.. Lets just say this drink and I have nothing in common."

James looks at the drink, then back at Sam and his eyes widen.

*Gasp*

"You had sex!"

"Shut up!"

"Sorry!  You had sex!" James whispers that last part.

"Mom and dad have rules!"

"I know that!  I was drinking and-"

"You were drinking?!" His eyes widen and his jaw drops.

"Yeah.. I feel bad.. Like I betrayed mom and dad."

"You did."

"Alright, enough!  Let's just go!"

"Alright, virgins all round... Well.. Not really, but."

"Shut the fuck up." Sam looks at James.

"Thanks boys! 

*Smiles*

And no fighting on vacation!" She makes a face.

The boys swam and walked around, while Jessica relaxed on the beach.

Our first trip without you, Sam.

It's strange..

I'm glad we're here though.

We needed to get out of Minnesota even if it is just for a few days.

... Our anniversary is coming up.. I don't know how I'll handle that day.. But I know that you'll help me get through it.

I miss you so so much, Samuel.

Take care of our baby till he gets here." She smiles, then rests her eyes.

They go back to the beach house to shower and change for dinner.

Jessica puts on a nice maxi dress and sandals.

They eat outside and have a nice cool breeze flowing through the air.

Jessica tried to keep the conversations happy.

Not that she didn't want them talking about Sam, but she didn't want them to feel sad.

They talked about the boys playing basketball.

"I'm nervous to try out for the team..

I'm nervous for high school in general.." Michael looks down.

"Don't be!  You'll be fine!  High school.. Yeah it's different, but it can be fun too!  Plus, you'll have your brother's there with you!" Jessica smiles.

The boys look at each other and scoff.

"Yeah, like we'd hang out with a freshman!"

"Samuel!"

"We're just playing, mom!"

"I'm not!" Sam looks at James.

Jessica rolls her eyes and says, "Anyway Michael,  you're gonna be fine!"

Jessica smiles and says, "I can't believe my baby is going to be fourteen next week!  Oh my goodness, that seems impossible!" She chuckles.

Michael smiles.

"Seventeen, fourteen... Fetus." She looks down at her stomach.

"Oh lord, Jessica!" She closes her eyes and nods her head.

The boys laugh and Jessica says, "I'm having a baby!  A little baby!  Oh gosh.. How?!" She laughs.

The next few days were amazing.

It was like the calm before the storm.  Before things got crazy.  Before the boys went back to school, and before the baby got here.  It was also nice for Jessica to reconnect with her boys.

Sunday.

They were back in Minnesota and getting ready for school the next day.

Jessica got up early to make the boys breakfast. 

"Are you boys ready for school?"

"Yeah!  Senior year is gonna be lit!"

"Mhm!  We're gonna torture the freshman!" James says.

A worried look appears on Michael's face.

"Boys!  Don't do that!!"

"We're seniors!  It's our job!"

"I don't wanna go." Michael says.

"Mikey, it'll be fine!"

Michael sighs and continues eating.

The boys were gone and Jessica was alone.

"Well.. We're all alone.." She pats her belly.

"Let's call aunt Sarah and see if she wants to go shopping for you with me!"

Sarah came over and picked Jessica up. 

Before shopping, they went to La Madeline for lunch.

"What are you doing, cutie?" Jessica tells Rylie in a cute voice.

Rylie slaps the table and baby talks.

"You're getting so big!"

"Say you too, aunt Jessie!" Sarah says in a baby voice.

Jessica laughs and says, "Touché!"

"Hah!  You look so good, Jessica!  Baby weight looks good on you!"

"Well thanks!" She chuckles.

"So, your baby boy is gonna be fourteen in three days.  How are you feeling?"

"Ugh!  I hate it!  When did he grow up?  When did any of my boys grow up?"

"I know, it's crazy!"

"Pretty soon all three will be out of the house and it'll just me and little guy.." She looks down and rubs her stomach.

"Aw..."

"You know.. You think times are tough when you have finals and babies popping out of you.. Late night studying with a baby on your boob..

You think that stuff is never gonna end...

Then one day.. your kids grow up and leave you.. Your husband dies.. And you're there with no one but this little guy...

He'll be my world, no doubt.. But nothing prepares you for being alone.  Not having that other person to experience this whole new life with..."
